On a rigorous interpretation of the quantum Schrödinger–Langevin operator in bounded domains with applications

AbstractIn this paper we make it mathematically rigorous the formulation of the following quantum Schrödinger–Langevin nonlinear operator for the wavefunctionAQSL=iℏ∂t+ℏ22mΔx−λ(Sψ−〈Sψ〉)−Θℏ[nψ,Jψ] in bounded domains via its mild interpretation. The a priori ambiguity caused by the presence of the multi-valued potential λSψ, proportional to the argument of the complex-valued wavefunctionψ=|ψ|exp{iℏSψ}, is circumvented by subtracting its positional expectation value,〈Sψ〉(t):=∫ΩSψ(t,x)nψ(t,x)dx, as motivated in the original derivation (Kostin, 1972 [45]). The problem to be solved in order to find Sψ is mostly deduced from the modulus-argument decomposition of ψ and dealt with much like in Guerrero et al. (2010) [37]. Here ℏ is the (reduced) Planck constant, m is the particle mass, λ is a friction coefficient, nψ=|ψ|2 is the local probability density, Jψ=ℏmIm(ψ¯∇xψ) denotes the electric current density, and Θℏ is a general operator (eventually nonlinear) that only depends upon the macroscopic observables nψ and Jψ. In this framework, we show local well-posedness of the initial-boundary value problem associated with the Schrödinger–Langevin operator AQSL in bounded domains. In particular, all of our results apply to the analysis of the well-known Kostin equation derived in Kostin (1972) [45] and of the Schrödinger–Langevin equation with Poisson coupling and enthalpy dependence (Jüngel et al., 2002 [41])

This paper studies the use of different sources of information for performing a text classification task. The growing number of digital libraries imposes a review of the available data from those databases. Some experiments applying different base classifiers for a multi-label classifier in the domain of High Energy Physics on several of these possible sources have been carried out. Results show that the use of metadata is almost as good as the full-text version of papers. This work is partially financed by the Spanish Minister of Science and Technology, by means of project TIC2003- 07158-C04-04

The aim of this study was to use different stimulators for guajabo propagation using stem cuttings in semi-controlled conditions, on "La Nueva Esperanza" farm, run by "Renato Guitart" Strengthened Cooperative of Credits and Services, in the municipality of Camaguey, Cuba, between February and May, 2016. A chamber with zeolite substrate (1 - 3 mm diameter) was used for propagation, whereas irrigation was scheduled and localized. A completely randomized design was used for evaluation, with 6 treatments and 3 replicas. The number of plants with buds, plants with roots, leaves, and live plants achieved, were evaluated. Simple variance analysis (SSPS version 11.5.) was performed, and the means were compared according to the Duncan´s test (p:0.05). The bio-organic alternatives applied were efficient in stimulating the physiological mechanisms for plantlet growth. The best phenological behavior was observed in treatments with the natural liquid humus plus indoleacetic acid, the natural liquid humus plus phosphoric acid, and the fortified liquid humus.&nbsp

This paper introduces a hybrid recommender system, based on both content and community of users, to suggest places according to user's interests. The content has been automatically extracted from official web page of each place. We remark the promising results obtained when the official web site provides descriptive content. Our experiments have been performed on the Contextual Suggestion Track dataset from TREC 2014, a competitive task where information about users is very sparse and recommendations must come from only GPS coordinates and few additional information.

Palabras clave: Comportamiento, conejo, forraje verde, piensos Abstract With the objective of evaluating the productive performance of crossbred does, a total of 24 animals were used, between 10 and 18 months old, with average weight higher than 3,0 kg, during four months. The does ate a diet constituted by mulberry (Morus alba) forage: 0,30 kg; ground sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum): 0,25 kg; glycine (Neonotonia wightii): 0,40 kg and homemade concentrate: 0,06 kg. The young rabbits were weighed at birth, 20 and 45 days after birth. In the does the offspring born alive and weaned per parturition, were controlled. As average, 6,4 live rabbits were obtained per parturition, with 0,054 kg LW at birth and 5,4 rabbits were weaned being 45 days old and weighing 0,694 kg. In addition, 84,4% survival was found during the lactation stage. The mean daily gain during lactation was 0,014 kg/animal/day. The results proved that with the proposed diet encouraging productive indicators were obtained in crossbred does

This research took place between February and April 2016, at the Center of Vitroplant Acclimatization of the Bio factory run by the Seed Company of Camaguey, in order to apply different bio-stimulants and evaluate the growth indicators observed during implementation of bio-organic alternatives to banana (Musa sp.) vitroplant production Polyethylene bags were used in the experiment, and the substrate contained 50% humus and 50% compost. The FHIA-03 variety was planted, following a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replicas. Natural Liquid Humus (NLH), Improved Liquid Humus (ILH), and Fortified Liquid Humus (FLH) were used as bio-organic products. Plant size, stem thickness, and leaf quantity were measured. All the data were statistically processed through simple variance analysis (ANOVA) to determine the significant differences. The Duncan multiple range test (P≤0.05), with 95% significance, was used for comparison of means. Data variance analysis was performed by SSPS, version 11.5.1, for Windows. The Duncan multiple range test (p:0.05) was performed when significant differences were observed. The application of bio-organic products containing FLH produced the highest benefits to crops for the indicators evaluated.

Massive Wireless Energy Transfer with Multiple Power Beacons for very large Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) comprises an increasing number of low-power and low-cost devices that autonomously interact with the surrounding environment. As a consequence of their popularity, future IoT deployments will be massive, which demands energy-efficient systems to extend their lifetime and improve the user experience. Radio frequency wireless energy transfer has the potential of powering massive IoT networks, thus eliminating the need for frequent battery replacement by using the so-called power beacons (PBs). In this paper, we provide a framework for minimizing the sum transmit power of the PBs using devices' positions information and their current battery state. Our strategy aims to reduce the PBs' power consumption and to mitigate the possible impact of the electromagnetic radiation on human health. We also present analytical insights for the case of very distant clusters and evaluate their applicability. Numerical results show that our proposed framework reduces the outage probability as the number of PBs and/or the energy demands increase.Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures, Submitted to "The International Workshop on Very Large Internet of Things (2021)
