    EL APOYO SOCIAL DE FAMILIA Y AMISTADES COMO FACTORES DETERMINANTES DE LAS PRÁCTICAS DEPORTIVAS JUVENILES

    Las prácticas deportivas juveniles se hallan condicionadas por factores psicosociales, capaces deinfluir en las conductas deportivas de los jóvenes en direcciones opuestas, como facilitadores, promoviendo la actividad deportiva, o como inhibidores, impidiendo o dificultando dicha práctica. El apoyo social es uno de los factores sociales determinantes de las prácticas deportivas juveniles más destacados en la literatura científica. La familia y las amistades son los agentes responsables de este apoyo social más representativos. El estudio de las prácticas deportivas de una muestra de jóvenes españoles permite constatar el papel esencial que los progenitores y el grupo de iguales desempeñan en la promoción de prácticas deportivas regulares, lo que favorece la instauración de estilos de ocio juveniles físicamente activos y duraderos. Los resultados confirman que los jóvenes más predispuestos a desarrollar patrones de práctica deportiva regular pertenecen a familias que valoran el ámbito deportivo y brindan a sus hijos apoyo emocional en este ámbito; y también a aquellos cuyas amistades practican deporte y les animan a continuar realizando este tipo de actividades.

    Ocio deportivo en los waterfronts de Bilbao y Barcelona : un estudio comparativo

    Este estudio busca conocer el papel del ocio deportivo en la construcción social del espacio público regenerado en frentes de costa o riberas urbanas de Bilbao y Barcelona. Para ello, se realiza, en primer lugar, un análisis de los usos deportivos que acogen los waterfronts y los procesos de apropiación del espacio que subyacen a dichos usos. A continuación, se explora el perfil de las y los practicantes deportivos, usuarios de los waterfronts para reflexionar sobre la contribución del ocio deportivo en estos espacios al derecho a la ciudad. El estudio se apoya en una metodología mixta que combina la observación no participada y una breve encuesta administrada en los waterfronts de sendas ciudades. Los resultados confirman que existe una relación de bidireccionalidad entre espacios públicos urbanos regenerados y estilos de ocio de la ciudadanía. Si bien es cierto que los waterfronts actúan como tractores de las prácticas deportivas, también es verdad que dichas prácticas contribuyen a la transformación social del entorno urbano, mediante procesos de apropiación que resignifican su valor y participan en el desarrollo social de las ciudades.This study seeks to understand the role of sport leisure in the social construction of regenerated public spaces on coast fronts or urban riverbanks of Bilbao and Barcelona. To do this, first it performed an analysis of sports uses hosted in the waterfronts and the processes of place appropriation that underlie such uses. Then, a profile scan is performed on people doing sport (waterfront users), in order to consider the contribution of sport leisure in these spaces to "the right to the city". The study is based on a mixed methodology combining non-participatory observation and a brief survey administered in the waterfronts of both cities. The results confirm that there is a bidirectional relationship between regenerated urban public spaces and leisure styles of citizens. While it is true that the waterfronts act as tractors of sports practices, it is also true that these practices contribute to the social transformation of the urban environment through processes of appropriation that give a new meaning to its value and promote the exchange of experiences that contribute to the social development of cities

    Based on the several meanings attributed to the Leisure by the school actor’s, introducing progress made in the framework of the doctorate research called: “The leisure in key pedagogical”. Its design is taken from the complementarity ethnographic, allowing us reveal the meanings that encloses the entertainment for school culture in the educational context in Colombia, especially in the State of Quindío, and make a contrast from the practice, a theoretical approach on this complex concept and polysemous. Reveal the pedagogical keys of leisure at school would open a horizon of possibilities for an education of leisure as sense, alive and lived, individually and collective process. Prior to the analysis of results, it is necessary to present, by way of reflection, a theoretical approach on leisure in key humanist for going deeper then in theories of education of the leisure and, finally, provide some glances attributed to leisure from the voices of the participants in this research.Partiendo de los diversos significados atribuidos al ocio por los actores escolares, presentamos avances realizados en el marco de la investigación doctoral denominada: “El ocio en clave pedagógica”. Su diseño, asumido desde la complementariedad etnográfica, nos permite desvelar los significados que encierra el ocio para la cultura escolar en el contexto educativo colombiano, en especial en el departamento del Quindío, y contrastar desde la práctica, un acercamiento teórico sobre este concepto complejo y polisémico. Exponer las claves pedagógicas del ocio escolar, supondría abrir un horizonte de posibilidades para una educación del ocio como proceso sentido, vivo y vivido, de manera individual y colectiva.     Itinerários de lazer em idosos

    The objective was to analyze the leisure experiences practiced by the elderly throughout life to understand possible relationships between current and past leisure practices, as well as the factors that influenced each stage of life. This is a qualitative and exploratory research. The sample selection was intentional and non-probabilistic. A semi-structured interview was used for data collection. The number of participants was defined by the data saturation technique. To interpret the information, we used the content analysis technique and the Iramuteq software. The sample was composed of 18 people (10 women and eight men), 70.5±5.1 years old. As main results we identified: 1) childhood and adolescence: non-systematized leisure experiences; 2) adulthood: there was a greater restriction to leisure activities due to social obligations; 3) elderly: possibility of inclusion to leisure experiences due to more free time because of retirement. We conclude that there is a continuity of leisure activities carried out in the previous phases of the life cycle, influenced by multiple factors such as socioeconomic and cultural conditions and possibilities of access to leisure spaces and equipment, which may interfere in the adherence and/or adherence to these activities in elderly.O objetivo foi analisar as vivências de lazer praticadas por idosos ao longo da vida para conhecer possíveis relações entre as práticas de lazer atuais e passadas, assim como os fatores que influenciaram em cada etapa da vida. Pesquisa de caráter qualitativo e exploratório. A seleção da amostra foi intencional e não probabilística. Adotou-se a entrevista semiestruturada para a coleta dos dados. O número de participantes foi definido pela técnica de saturação de dados. Para a interpretação das informações empregou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo e o Software Iramuteq. A amostra foi composta por 18 pessoas (10 mulheres e oito homens), 70,5±5,1 anos. Como principais resultados identificou-se: 1) infância e adolescência: vivências de lazer do tipo não sistematizada; 2) vida adulta: houve maior restrição às atividades de lazer em virtude das obrigações sociais; 3) terceira idade: possibilidade de inserção às vivências de lazer em virtude de maior tempo livre decorrente da aposentadoria. Conclui-se que há uma continuidade das atividades de lazer realizadas nas fases anteriores do ciclo da vida, influenciada por múltiplos fatores como, condições socioeconômicas, culturais e possibilidades de acesso a espaços e equipamentos de lazer, podendo interferir na adesão e/ou aderência a essas atividades na terceira idade

    Bisphenol A Analogues in Food and Their Hormonal and Obesogenic Effects: A Review

    Bisphenol A (BPA) is the most well-known compound from the bisphenol family. As BPA has recently come under pressure, it is being replaced by compounds very similar in structure, but data on the occurrence of these BPA analogues in food and human matrices are limited. The main objective of this work was to investigate human exposure to BPA and analogues and the associated health effects. We performed a literature review of the available research made in humans, in in vivo and in vitro tests.     Characterizing the phenotype and mode of inheritance of patients with inherited peripheral neuropathies carrying MME mutations

    [EN] Background Mutations in the metalloendopeptidase (MME) gene were initially identified as a cause of autosomal recessive Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2 (CMT2). Subsequently, variants in MME were linked to other late-onset autosomal dominant polyneuropathies. Thus, our goal was to define the phenotype and mode of inheritance of patients carrying changes in MME. Methods We screened 197 index cases with a hereditary neuropathy of the CMT type or distal hereditary motor neuropathy (dHMN) and 10 probands with familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (fALS) using a custom panel of 119 genes. In addition to the index case subjects, we also studied other clinically and/or genetically affected and unaffected family members. Results We found 17 variants in MME in a total of 20 index cases, with biallelic MME mutations detected in 13 cases from nine families (three in homozygosis and six in compound heterozygosis) and heterozygous variants found in 11 families. All patients with biallelic variants had a similar phenotype, consistent with late-onset axonal neuropathy. Conversely, the phenotype of patients carrying heterozygous mutations was highly variable [CMT type 1 (CMT1), CMT2, dHMN and fALS] and mutations did not segregate with the disease. Conclusion MME mutations that segregate in an autosomal recessive pattern are associated with a late-onset CMT2 phenotype, yet we could not demonstrate that MME variants in heterozygosis cause neuropathy. Our data highlight the importance of establishing an accurate genetic diagnosis in patients carrying MME mutations, especially with a view to genetic counselling.The authors thank the patients and healthy relatives for having participated in this project.     Diverse Large HIV-1 Non-subtype B Clusters Are Spreading Among Men Who Have Sex With Men in Spain

    In Western Europe, the HIV-1 epidemic among men who have sex with men (MSM) is dominated by subtype B. However, recently, other genetic forms have been reported to circulate in this population, as evidenced by their grouping in clusters predominantly comprising European individuals. Here we describe four large HIV-1 non-subtype B clusters spreading among MSM in Spain. Samples were collected in 9 regions. A pol fragment was amplified from plasma RNA or blood-extracted DNA. Phylogenetic analyses were performed via maximum likelihood, including database sequences of the same genetic forms as the identified clusters. Times and locations of the most recent common ancestors (MRCA) of clusters were estimated with a Bayesian method. Five large non-subtype B clusters associated with MSM were identified. The largest one, of F1 subtype, was reported previously. The other four were of CRF02_AG (CRF02_1; n = 115) and subtypes A1 (A1_1; n = 66), F1 (F1_3; n = 36), and C (C_7; n = 17). Most individuals belonging to them had been diagnosed of HIV-1 infection in the last 10 years. Each cluster comprised viruses from 3 to 8 Spanish regions and also comprised or was related to viruses from other countries: CRF02_1 comprised a Japanese subcluster and viruses from 8 other countries from Western Europe, Asia, and South America; A1_1 comprised viruses from Portugal, United Kingom, and United States, and was related to the A1 strain circulating in Greece, Albania and Cyprus; F1_3 was related to viruses from Romania; and C_7 comprised viruses from Portugal and was related to a virus from Mozambique. A subcluster within CRF02_1 was associated with heterosexual transmission. Near full-length genomes of each cluster were of uniform genetic form. Times of MRCAs of CRF02_1, A1_1, F1_3, and C_7 were estimated around 1986, 1989, 2013, and 1983, respectively. MRCA locations for CRF02_1 and A1_1 were uncertain (however initial expansions in Spain in Madrid and Vigo, respectively, were estimated) and were most probable in Bilbao, Spain, for F1_3 and Portugal for C_7. These results show that the HIV-1 epidemic among MSM in Spain is becoming increasingly diverse through the expansion of diverse non-subtype B clusters, comprising or related to viruses circulating in other countries

    Mutations, Genes, and Phenotypes Related to Movement Disorders and Ataxias

    26 páginas, 4 figuras, 3 tablasOur clinical series comprises 124 patients with movement disorders (MDs) and/or ataxia with cerebellar atrophy (CA), many of them showing signs of neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA). Ten NBIA genes are accepted, although isolated cases compatible with abnormal brain iron deposits are known. The patients were evaluated using standardised clinical assessments of ataxia and MDs. First, NBIA genes were analysed by Sanger sequencing and 59 patients achieved a diagnosis, including the detection of the founder mutation PANK2 p.T528M in Romani people. Then, we used a custom panel MovDisord and/or exome sequencing; 29 cases were solved with a great genetic heterogeneity (34 different mutations in 23 genes). Three patients presented brain iron deposits with Fe-sensitive MRI sequences and mutations in FBXO7, GLB1, and KIF1A, suggesting an NBIA-like phenotype. Eleven patients showed very early-onset ataxia and CA with cortical hyperintensities caused by mutations in ITPR1, KIF1A, SPTBN2, PLA2G6, PMPCA, and PRDX3. The novel variants were investigated by structural modelling, luciferase analysis, transcript/minigenes studies, or immunofluorescence assays.
