The article begins by presenting the general idea of what OER is then move to the possible benefits and challenges to the OER for teaching and learning. Efforts to address the possible challenges in OER are also presented as well as the places where OER can be sought. In the end of the article samples of possible scenario of how to use the OER for teaching learning process are also detailed

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang Kalam Insya’i Thalabiy dalam Surat Al-anfal (Analisis Balaghah). Dari latar belakang tersebut lahirlah 2 rumusan masalah yaitu : (a) Apa sajakah macam-macam kalam insya’i thalabiy dalam surat al-Anfal? (b) Apa sajakah makna-makna kalam insya’i thalabiy yang terdapat pada surat al-Anfal? Dengan rumusan masalah tersebut muncullah tujuan penelitian sebagai berikut : (a) Untuk mengetahui macam-macam kalam insya’i thalabiy dalam surat al-Anfal (b) Untuk mengetahui makna-makna kalam insya’i thalabiy yang terdapat pada surat al-Anfal Metode yang digunakan untuk mengkaji penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisa stilistika (balaghah). Penggunaan metode tersebut adalah bertujuan agar menemukan unsur-unsur balaghah yang terdapat dalam surat al- Anfal. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam surat Al-Anfal terdapat unsur-unsur kalam insya’i thalabiy, yaitu : Amar (Perintah), Nahi (Larangan), Istifham (Pertanyaan), Nida’ (Panggilan), Tamaniy (Harapan)

    Training language teachers online: a study of computer- assisted language learning (CALL) teacher training in Indonesia

    Despite some encouragement by the government of Indonesia and the university administrators to conduct online education, the implementation of online teacher training in an Islamic university has not been seriously addressed. There, some potential assets for the implementation of online teacher training, such as appropriate ICT hardware and positive beliefs held by all university members, have not been encouraged much. As a result the effort of online teacher training on the university has not been run optimally. This study aimed to investigate the possible implementation of online teacher training (OTT) programs for English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers in Indonesia working with computer-assisted language learning (CALL). The study identified possible factors affecting online teacher training and explored ways of improving the existing 'online' teacher training activities especially in CALL. It employed a design-based research approach which is characterized by a direct iterative intervention into an existing educational practice. The study was conducted in a teacher training college in the Islamic university providing OTT facilities. Participants in the study were student teachers/instructors, administrators, and ICT administrators. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, document reviews and online questionnaires. During the DBR study possible factors affecting the implementation of online teacher training were identified and used as consideration when developing the online CALL teacher training (OCTT) prototypes. The OCTT prototypes were then tried out in two cycles. The results of the implementation of the OCTT prototypes resulted in three outcomes that a DBR study should bring about: generated principles, research artefact, and professional development and learning experience (Herrington, Reeves, & Oliver, 2010). The three were realized in the form of eight generated online teacher training principles. As a result of the study, an online CALL teacher training syllabus, materials and a course were produced, and the first fully online teacher professional development experience was created by the student teachers, as well as professional collaborative work was engaged in with the local instructors and other staff on the research site

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh manajemen laba terhadap return saham pada perusahaan pertambangan dan perusahaan manufaktur yang go public di Bursa Efek Indonesia dan untuk menganalisi sperbedaan antara return pada perusahaan pertambangan dan perusahaan manufaktur di BEI. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 29 perusahaan, terdiri 6 perusahaan pertambangan dan 23 perusahaan manufaktur yang go publik di Bursa Efek Indonesia, dengan metode pooling data (2012-2014), sehingga jumlahsampel (n) = 87. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel dengan kriteria-kriteria yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian bahwa secara parsial (individu) tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan manajemen laba terhadap return saham, baik perusahaan pertambangan dan perusahaan manufaktur. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa besar kecilnya manajemen laba yang dilakukan pihak manajemen perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan pada kenaikan return saham perusahaan. Pada uji chowtes t diperoleh nilai F hitung sebesar 12,10 lebih besar dibandingkan F tabel taraf signifikansi 5% sebesar 7,88 sehingga diperoleh hasil ada perbedaan yang signifikan return saham perusahaan pertambangan dan perusahaan manufaktur. Kecenderungan tindakan manajemen laba (rata-rata nilai diskresionerakrual) pada perusahaan pertambangan sebesar 0,0040 sedangkan tindakan manajemen laba (rata-rata nilai diskresionerakrual) pada perusahaan manufaktur sebesar 0,0058 yang menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan pertambangan lebih kecil kecenderungan melakukan manajemen laba dibandingkan dengan perusahaan manufaktur.     Pada pembelajaran semasa daring adalah persiapan pembelajaran yang dilakukan di rumah. Kebijakan pembelajaran daring telah ditetapkan oleh menteri pendidikan untuk mengurangi penyebaran Covid-19. MI Al-Ikhlash Surabaya menjalankan pembelajaran sesuai kebijakan selama pandemi melalui teknologi informasi. Pembelajaran yang diterapkan dari kelas bawah hingga atas tidak lepas dari internet berbasis web dan media mobile learning. Dengan adanya media pembelajaran berbasis internet, seluruh siswa MI Al-Ikhlash Surabaya menyesuaikan dan dapat mengikuti pembelajaran daring. Saat pembelajaran pondok ramadhan, salah satu tindakan guru agama untuk memberikan materi puasa ramadhan memberikan salah satu pembelajaran berbasis web adalah Wikipedia. Maka peneliti membahas mengenai bagaimana keberhasilan keimplementasian dari Wikipedia dalam pembelajaran pondok romadhon selama daring di MI Al-Ikhlash Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan untuk penelitian ini adalah jenis kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah Wikipedia dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar selama pembelajaran daring. Yaitu bisa diterapkan dengan bentuk ringkasan dari sumber Wikipedia bersifat potensi gratis. Kelebihan Wikipedia pada penelitian ini adalah menjadi bahan bacaan dan membentuk karakter literasi siswa. Sedangkan kekurangan Wikipedia pada penelitian ini adalah kurangnya minat baca kepada siswa, terkendalanya jaringan kurang menarik untuk siswa karena guru memantau dari jarak jauh

    Considerations for the development of Computer-assisted Language Learning (CALL) teacher training course: a practical experience from a CALL course development in Indonesia

    The need for technology training for teachers will keep on growing in line with the development of technology itself. Although technology nowadays is more and more user friendly and may need no specific training on how to use it, teachers need to possess the knowledge that underpins the idea of using it for teaching and learning process. Teachers need to have solid pedagogical knowledge on how to use the technology to deliver contents to their students. Therefore, a technology-training course for teachers is always necessary. This paper presents the partial results of a design based study/research (DBR) on the development of online technology training for teachers with focus on CALL in Indonesia. Questions regarding factors affecting online CALL course and ways to improve the course in terms of training materials, activities, as well as the administration of the training are addressed in the study. Based on the study, some considerations on how to design such technology-training course are proposed. The considerations are ranging from aspects associated with technology competence for teacher standards, constructivism in online learning, adult learning theory, online instructional models, the technology, pedagogy and content knowledge (TPACK) framework and open educational resources (OER). Information regarding those aspects will be useful to assist other CALL teacher training course developers later to inform their decision in the development of the course which is based on a good theoretical understanding as well as highly practical in learning activitie

    4C (Critical thinking, Creativity & Innovation, Collabotion, Communication) is an acronym for a set of 21st century skills to be achieved during learning in today's classes. One way to achieve these skills can be facilitated through a variety of learning experiences provided by teachers in the classroom. One of the learning experiences that can be assigned to students is the assignment to make infographics. An assignment that centers on the creation of attractive visual communication and utilizes current digital technology. The assignment will be very useful to provide nuances of learning variations, especially in the current era of online learning. Many studies have shown the effectiveness of infographics to support students’ learning in the classroom. It is therefore, interesting to discuss here. In this article, a conceptual study of the potential attainment of the four skills above is described theoretically and supported by relevant and actual literature.Abstrak4C (Critical thinking, Creativity & Innovation, Collabotion, Communication) merupakan  keterampilan abad 21 yang hendak dicapai dalam pembelajaran di kelas-kelas dewasa ini. Kompleks lokalisasi ini kemudian ditutup oleh walikota Surabaya pada tahun 2014. Hal ini tentu akan memicu gejolak baik secara sosial khususnya perekonomian. Penelitian ini betujuan menggali lebih jauh long term effect dari upaya penutupan itu untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan seputar sejauh mana program pemerintah pasca penutupan lokalisasi itu berdampak pada penyelesain permasalahan ekonomi ,akhlak dan pendidikan masyarakat disana. Data-data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan juga kajian dokumen terkait. Hasil dari penelitian menujukkan bahwa upaya serius pemerintah mulai terlihat menggeliat dan berkembang positif. Kampung tematik yg diinisiasi pemerintah untuk mengatasi permasalahan ekonomi dan masalah sosial lain mulai tampak berkembang pasti meskipun tergolong lambat.
