The purpose of this paper is to investigate what services have to be developed further for the innovative growth of an organisation. The study will highlight strategic measures that are needed to be taken by the Center for Industrial Certification as an effort to improve the quality of services. The research uses descriptive explorative methods by means of data available for analysis using a Likert Scale and adopting a mixed methodology, qualitative and quantitative (Sekaran, 2003). Population and sample include a proportion of the industrial sector comprising of 391 companies which have obtained the certificate of the Indonesian National Standard (INS). The dependent variable is the level of customer satisfaction and independent variables are Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy. The Product Certification Body should be aware and understand the main priority needed and expected from certification service users. It is necessary to identify and clearly define the attributes of services based on customer requirements. One method of improvement is to improve the quality of the services provided to customers by using the Servqual (Service Quality) method. The research illustrates that the customers’ INS certification can better understand the procedures and mechanisms for providing ISO certification. Assigning priority measures needed to be done, as an effort to improve the quality of service. The results of the study were able to determine the classification of the attributes of service certification on the basis of the relationship between the level of customer satisfaction and the degree of fulfilment of certification.peer-reviewe

Sporadic dementia of Alzheimer’s type (SDAT) pathogenesis has not been revealed completely due to the difficulty in creating an appropriate animal model. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of single-dose intraperitoneal (IP) induction of streptozotocin (STZ) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on the β-amyloid levels and the brain function of experimental rats. Eighteen rats were divided into three groups i.e. control, TRE1 (STZ 60 mg.kg-1 BW + LPS 3 mg.kg-1 BW), and TRE2 (STZ 30 mg.kg-1 BW + LPS 1.5 mg.kg-1 BW). The substances were administered in a single dose. Behavioral tests were started at day-30 after injection, we performed Morris water maze (MWM) and novel object recognition (NOR) tests. Afterward, we measured whole brain and serum β-amyloid levels, as one of the biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), using the ELISA method. In MWM tests, the escape latency and time spent in the target quadrant of treatment groups were significantly higher than those in control at the day-5 MWM test and probe trial. The rats in treatment groups have negative discrimination indexes in NOR tasks, indicating that the rats could not remember the familiar object. Intraperitoneal STZ and LPS significantly increase soluble brain β-amyloid levels of treatment groups than those in the control group. In conclusion, the treatment of STZ (60 mg.kg-1 BW) and LPS (3 mg.kg-1 BW) indicated spatial and recognition memory impairment, along with an increase of brain soluble β-amyloid level in rats

Tax is an important component of state revenue. The amount of tax contribution can ensure stability for the availability of sources of state revenue. This study aims to determine (1) The effect of the application of e-filing on taxpayer compliance. (2) The effect of understanding tax on taxpayer compliance. (3) The effect of tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance. The population of this research is the taxpayers who use e-Filing at KPP Pratama Batu, Batu City. Sampling used in this study is non-probability sampling with the sampling technique using incidental sampling, the determination of the number of samples calculated using the Slovin formula using 99 samples. The results of this study indicate that the application of the e-Filing system tax, understanding of taxes and tax sanctions has a positive effect on taxpayer compliance. Keywords: e-Filing, Tax Understanding, Tax Sanctions, Taxpayer                     Complianc

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that often occurs in women of reproductive age. The main therapy currently used to treat PCOS patients is insulin sensitizer. In PCOS, there is an imbalance in the intestinal flora which causes activation of the immune system and an inflammatory response that leads to insulin resistance. The effect of probiotic supplementation on insulin resistance can have an impact on changes in reproductive hormone levels in PCOS women. Objective: Analyze the effect of probiotic supplementation on levels of FSH, LH, and folliculogenesis in a study of PCOS Wistar rats. Methods: Experimental research with a post-test only controlled group design. The research sample was 35 Wistar rats which were divided into 5 groups, (K-) were healthy rats, (K+) were PCOS rats without treatment, (P1) were PCOS rats received Metformin, (P2) were PCOS rats received Probiotics, and (P3) were PCOS rats that received Metformin + Probiotics. The intervention was carried out for 14 days. The dependent variables were levels of FSH, LH and folliculogenesis. Research data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA test, Fisher Exact test. Differences between groups and controls were tested with Dunnett's post hoc test. Significant p<0.05Results: Metformin + probiotic supplementation resulted in increased FSH levels, decreased LH levels and increased folliculogenesis when compared to the PCOS rats without treatment (K+).Conclusion: Metformin + probiotic supplementation causes levels of FSH, LH and folliculogenesis activity in PCOS rats to resemble healthy rats
