Meaning making through e-learning

Different approaches have been proposed to add more educational value to e-Learning. One of these views proposes modern pedagogical models that better fit the nature of the unique features of technology. A related approach is to embed modern learning and instructional design theory into new communication and interaction channels provided by information and communication technologies such as the Internet. This study presents a model for e-Learning illustrated with a specific case study of in-service teacher training in learning with digital media. After presenting the model we describe the design, implementation, and evaluation of an e-Learning program for school teachers that uses our model. We highlight the way teachers construct meaning by reflecting on teaching and learning. Intact e-communities were developed through interaction and communication by using Internet services to share meaning, views, and understanding. Games for the two membranes problem

In this paper we find viscosity solutions to the two membranes problem (that is a system with two obstacle-type equations) with two different $p-$Laplacian operators taking limits of value functions of a sequence of games. We analyze two-player zero-sum games that are played in two boards with different rules in each board. At each turn both players (one inside each board) have the choice of playing without changing board or to change to the other board (and then play one round of the other game). We show that the value functions corresponding to this kind of games converge uniformly to a viscosity solution of the two membranes problem. If in addition the possibility of having the choice to change boards depends on a coin toss we show that we also have convergence of the value functions to the two membranes problem that is supplemented with an extra condition inside the coincidence set

La Estrategia de Educación a Distancia del Ministerio de Educación Pública durante la Pandemia Covid19 y las Adecuaciones en la Mediación Pedagógica y Funciones Administrativas en el Profesorado de Inglés del Bachillerato San José de Alajuela durante 2020

The pandemic caused by the coronavirus has generated a number of adverse situations in the different scenarios in which human beings develop. Particularly in the educational field, the pandemic caused a massive closure of educational centers that had within their operation to dictate lessons in a face-to-face manner. The socioeconomic environment of the different societies that make up Latin America, especially Costa Rica, have high rates of poverty and extreme poverty, bringing high levels of social dissatisfaction and a high degree of economic and educational inequality for the people who make up the Costa Rican civil society.  In this context, the pandemic has brought a great crisis to the educational pillar because institutions have had to suspend their lessons and migrate to more feasible alternatives such as distance education through technological platforms. This migration has brought a great paradigm shift by incorporating the teaching staff and educational communities to update their way of teaching lessons, with the clear slogan of coping in a better and timely manner the negative impact that the pandemic has had on the activities that human beings perform as the educational part.La pandemia causada por el coronavirus ha generado un sinnúmero de situaciones adversas en los diferentes escenarios en los que se desenvuelven los seres humanos. Particularmente en el ámbito educativo, la pandemia causó un cierre masivo de centros educativos que tenían dentro de su operación el dictar lecciones de manera presencial. El entorno socioeconómico de las diferentes sociedades que conforman Latinoamérica, especialmente la costarricense, tienen grandes índices de pobreza y pobreza extrema trayendo altos grados de insatisfacción social y un alto grado de desigualdad económica y educativa para las personas que conforman la sociedad civil costarricense.  En este contexto la pandemia ha traído una gran crisis al pilar educativo porque las instituciones han tenido que suspender sus lecciones y migrarlas a alternativas más factibles como lo es la educación a distancia a través de plataformas tecnológicas. Esta migración ha traído un gran cambio de paradigma al incorporar al cuerpo docente y a las comunidades educativas a actualizar su manera de dictar lecciones, con la clara consigna de sobrellevar de una mejor y oportuna manera el impacto tan negativo que ha tenido la pandemia en las actividades que los seres humanos realizan como la parte educativa

Solving the two membranes problem for different operators by iterations of the obstacle problem

In this paper we analyze iterations of the obstacle problem for two different operators. We solve iteratively the obstacle problem from above or below for two different differential operators with obstacles given by the previous functions in the iterative process. When we start the iterations with a super or a subsolution of one of the operators this procedure generates two monotone sequences of functions that we show that converge to a solution to the two membranes problem for the two different operators. We perform our analysis in both the variational and the viscosity settings

Auditoria Administrativa : Auditoria Administrativa en el Sector Privado

La auditoría administrativa tiene como objetivo, analizar la aplicación de la auditoria administrativa a las empresas privadas mediante una investigación documental para el enriquecimiento de los conocimientos, que nace como una necesidad de evaluar el comportamiento parcial o total de una organización con el propósito de maximizar la eficacia del control interno de la empresa. La base teórica que sustenta este informe se aborda en 4 capítulos, que contienen las generalidades de la auditoria administrativa, que a lo largo de la historia, ha conferido una importancia singular. Lo que se ha traducido en que se le considere una herramienta fundamental para el desarrollo sano de las organizaciones. Así también, los aspectos a considerar y metodología que se lleva a cabo. En cuanto a su composición, abarca la organización vertical en sus vertientes con una sola sede, con unidades desconcentradas, descentralizadas, desconcentradas y descentralizadas, globales y desconcentradas, descentralizadas y globales; la organización horizontal en su diseño con unidades al mismo nivel, equipos de trabajo, en red de tecnología y en red global; la organización vertical/horizontal, en sus presentaciones función/proceso, proceso y estratégica, y la organización virtual, en sus versiones de unidades en el lugar de origen y unidades a nivel global. Las técnicas para el desarrollo de este informe, fue la recopilación de información de distintas fuentes bibliográficas, tomando como base los libros “AA-Gestión estratégica del cambio” 2da edición, del autor Benjamín Franklin, y “AA-Proceso y aplicación” 1era edición, del autor Alfonso Sotomayor. El diseño metodológico de este informe se basa en la normativa de seminario de graduación de la UNAN-Managua, haciendo uso de diferentes fuentes bibliográficas, desde libros de textos y sitios web. De igual manera se aplicaron las normas APA sexta edición. Conocimientos, actitudes y practicas de la minera lalo I para la promoción de la salud ocupacional en minería de la provincia de lima. Propuesta de un plan de comunicación 2016

La presente investigación ha tenido por objetivo identificar conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas en el personal minero de Lalo I en lo referido a la promoción de la salud ocupacional en minería. Esta investigación está basada en un diseño cualitativo para l o cual se aplicó un cuestionario, la cual fue validada por juicio de expertos. En tal sentido se ha identificado que el personal de la minera Lalo I posee un conocimiento alto acerca de la salud ocupacional en minería y la información que manejan fue obtenida en sus anteriores empleos. En cuanto a actitudes, se ha identificado que posee un nivel alto de actitudes favorables y predispuestas al cambio en temas de salud ocupacional, aunque esto aún no está reforzado por la minera puesto que no se aplica ninguna capacitación o información de estos temas para los trabajadores y eso que ellos mismos lo consideran importante. En las prácticas, se encontró un nivel bajo hacia ciertas prácticas de salud ocupacional dentro y fuera de la minera, para ello se propone reforzar los conocimientos y actitudes con una propuesta de un plan de comunicaciones basándonos en las motivaciones del trabajador. La propuesta está realizada con el fin de mejorar los conocimientos, apoyar la predisposición y generar una conciencia para la realización de las prácticas en el uso de los implementos de seguridad en donde el eje primordial es cuidar sus vidas Asimismo, promover la importancia del trabajo en conjunto de la minera a través de sus supervisores y áreas encargadas para un trabajo conjunto para el refuerzo de los temas de salud ocupacional. De este modo mejorar la percepción y participación de los trabajadores, generando una cultura de prevención en beneficio tanto para la minera como para los trabajadores.The present investigation has the objective of identifying knowledge, attitudes and practices in the mining personnel of Lalo I regarding the promotion of occupational health in mining. This research is based on a qualitative design for which a questionnaire was applied, which was validated by expert judgment. In this sense it has been identified that the personnel of the mining company Lalo I has a high knowledge about the occupational health in mining and the information that they handle was obtained in their previous jobs. In terms of attitudes, it has been identified that it has a high level of favorable attitudes and predisposed to change in occupational health issues, although this is not yet reinforced by the miner since no training or information on these issues is applied to workers and that which they themselves consider important. In the practices, a low level was found towards certain occupational health practices inside and outside the mine, for it is proposed to reinforce the knowledge and attitudes with a proposal of a communication plan based on the motivations of the worker. The proposal is made in order to improve knowledge, support the predisposition and generate an awareness for the realization of practices in the use of safety implements where the main axis is taken care of their lives Also, to promote the importance of the joint work of the mining company through its supervisors and areas in charge of a joint work to reinforce occupational health issues. In this way improve the perception and participation of workers, generating a culture of prevention to benefit both the mining and the workers
