Gaussian modeling and Schmidt modes of SPDS biphoton states
A double-Gaussian model and the Schmidt modes are found for the biphoton wave
function characterizing spontaneous parametric down-conversion with the
degenerate collinear phase-matching of the type I and with a pulsed pump. The
obtained results are valid for all durations of the pump pulses, short, long
and intermediately long

Structural Behaviour and Charge-Compensation Mechanism in Li2Fe1−xCoxSeO Solid Solutions during Reversible Delithiation
The constantly growing demand for renewable electrical energy keeps the continuation of battery-related research imperative. In spite of significant progress made in the development of Na- and K-ion systems, Li-ion batteries (LIBs) still prevail in the fields of portative devices and electric or hybrid vehicles. Since the amount of lithium on our planet is significantly limited, studies dedicated to the search for and development of novel materials, which would make LIBs more efficient in terms of their specific characteristics and life lengths, are necessary. Investigations of less industry-related systems are also important, as they provide general knowledge which helps in understanding directions and strategies for the improvement of applied materials. The current paper represents a comprehensive study of cubic Li2Fe1−xCoxSeO compounds with an anti-perovskite structure. These solid solutions demonstrate both cationic and anionic electrochemical activity in lithium cells while being applied as cathodes. Cobalt cations remain inactive; however, their amount in the structure defines if the Se0/Se2− or Fe3+/Fe2+ redox couple dominates the charge compensation mechanism upon (de)lithiation. Apart from that, cobalt affects the structural stability of the materials during cycling. These effects were evaluated by means of operando XRD and XAS techniques. The outcomes can be useful for both fundamental and practice-relevant research

Estimation of the total inelasticity coefficient in interaction of greater than or equal to 20 TeV hadrons with lead
Experimental data on the interaction mean free path of hadrons with energy E 20 TeV in lead obtained with multilayer X-ray emulsion chambers(XEC) are compared with results of simulation of nuclear-electromagnetic cascades in lead chamber. It is shown that, to explain experimental data, the value of the inelasticity coefficients, K .8 should be assumed

The article presents the review of the use of scientific and pedagogical heritage of Gilm Khairevich Kamay (the representative of famous Kazan Chemistry School, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor), for the development of schoolchildren interest in the study of chemistry. The urgency of this problem is determined by the need to use effective pedagogical and technological methods for activation the cognitive interest of students in chemistry, for better digestion of knowledge. The importance of this task is intensified as a result of the emerging contradictions between the increased theorization of school chemistry course, and the lack of close connection of the studied material with real life. The teacher has to use methodical methods for the formation of students' interest in chemistry, by means of realization the indispensible connection between learning and life.
