Supersymmetric null-surfaces

Single trace operators with the large R-charge in supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory correspond to the null-surfaces in $AdS_5\times S^5$. We argue that the moduli space of the null-surfaces is the space of contours in the super-Grassmanian parametrizing the complex $(2|2)$-dimensional subspaces of the complex $(4|4)$-dimensional space. The odd coordinates on this super-Grassmanian correspond to the fermionic degrees of freedom of the superstring.Comment: v4: added a reference to the earlier work; corrected the formula for the stabilizer of the BMN vacuum; added the discussion of the complex structure of the odd coordinates in Section 3.

Характеристика инфекций, вызванных вирусами гепатитов В и С у больных хронической почечной недостаточностью, находящихся на программном гемодиализе

The authors carried out serological and biochemical testing of blood serum of undergone hemodialysis 434 patients with chronic renal failure and constantly living in Baku for determination of hepatitis B and C viral infections spreading and pathogenic peculiarities of theses infections course at such patients. It was demonstrated that frequency of these infections' serologic markers detection among above mentioned patients was significantly higher than analogous indexes at healthy inhabitants of Baku. Besides it was shown that at more than 2/ 3 of patients both infections coursed in pathogenetical variants which were not accompanied with appearance in the blood biochemical signs of liver dysfunction.Автоpы осуществили сеpологическое и биохимическое исследование сывоpоток кpови находящихся на гемодиализе 434 больных хpонической почечной недостаточностью, постоянных жителей г. Баку с целью опpеделения хаpактеpа pаспpостpанения инфекций, вызванных виpусами гепатита В (ВГВ) и гепатита С (ВГС) и выяснения патогенетических особенностей течения этих инфекций. Было установлено, что сpеди таких больных частота выявления сеpологических маpкеpов указанных виpусных инфекций значительно пpевосходила аналогичные показатели сpеди здоpовых лиц из контpольной гpуппы. Кpоме того, было показано, что обе виpусные инфекции более чем у 2/ 3 инфицированных больных ХПH пpотекали в патогенетических вариантах, не сопровождавшихся появлением в кpови биохимических признаков дисфункции печени

The spectrum features of UHECRs below and surrounding GZK

The energy spectrum of UHECRs is discussed on the basis of the Yakutsk array database analysis. In the region E=0.1 to 30 EeV the showers are detected under trigger-500, while at energies above 30 EeV the whole acceptance area for trigger-1000 is used in order to utilize all the data available in the region of GZK cutoff.Comment: Invited talk at CRIS2004: GZK and surroundings, Catania, Italy, 31.05.04. Fast Particles Confinement in Stellarators with Both Poloidal-Pseudo-Symmetry and Quasi-Isodynamicity

"By analytical and computational consideration it is shown that the condition of quasi-isodynamicity for the configurations with poloidal direction of the contours of the magnetic field strength on the magnetic surfaces can be fulfilled with high enough accuracy for compact configuration. It is shown that for the configurations with toroidal direction of these contours the condition of quasi-isodynamicity is equivalent to the condition of quasi-symmetry, so that there is no the gap between these two conditions. The further optimization is required to stabilize the ballooning modes in the considered configuration.

Comparative characterization of two tests for measurement of hepatitis B virus DNA in the blood serum and plasma, based on the use of two different detection methods

Two tests for measurements of hepatitis B virus DNA in human serum and plasma, VERSANT HBV 3.0 (based on the use of branched DNA chains) and Biotitre-B (a realtime PCR variant), were compared. Serum specimens from patients (n=56) with documented viral hepatitis were tested. For specimens with DNA values in the linear range in both tests the correlations were evaluated by Pearson's method. The sensitivity of the two tests, and reproducibility of the results of HBV DNA measurements were evaluated using a panel of recombinant virus DNA dilutions with a step of 1 lg HBV DNA copies per ml (from 7 to 3 lg). Three measurements for each concentration of the reference sample were carried out in each test. Clinical specificity of the two tests was evaluated by the analysis of HBV-negative serum samples, collected from donors not reactive by HBsAg and anti-HBc (n=60). Of 56 samples with documented infection, the results of testing by VERSANT HBV 3.0 and Biotitre-B did not agree in 4 (7.1%) samples. Pearson's correlation coefficient of for results obtained in VERSANT HBV 3.0 and Biotitre-B in linear range for both tests was 0.712. Evaluation of reproducibility of the tests using a panel of recombinant HBV DNA showed higher reproducibility of VERSANT HBV 3.0 test with coefficient of variations from 0.79 to 2.79% vs. 2.39-10.69% for Biotitre-B reference test. All 60 serum samples from donors areactive by HBsAg and anti-HBc were negative by HBV DNA when tested by VERSANT HBV 3.0 and Biotitre-B. Hence, clinical specificity of both tests was 100%. The results indicate high specificity of both tests and good agreement of their results, the reproducibility of VERSANT HBV 3.0 test being higher. © 2008 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc
