    WELLNESS TOURISM IN UBUD. “A QUALITATIVE APPROACH TO STUDY THE ASPECTS OF WELLNESS TOURISM DEVELOPMENT”

    This study aims to describe the aspects of wellness tourism development in Ubud. Adopted from Corbin theory (2006)  which states the body, mind and spirit as part of the five dimensions of wellness, namely physical wellness, emotional wellness, social wellness, intellectual wellness, and spiritual wellness, authors would therefore to identify product wellness, wellness activities, wellness dimension and life cycle of development of wellness tourism in Ubud. This study uses qualitative research methods, starting with literature studies related research about wellness tourism and in-depth interviews with wellness service providers in Ubud. In this study, the authors reviewed the literatures and analyzed the information collected from eight wellness service providers. The eight informants are determined by considering the type of wellness service scale such as spa resorts, health resorts, retreat centers, and wellness centers, located in Ubud. The results showed that wellness tourism in Ubud had fulfilled aspects and dimensions of wellness. This is reflected from the identification which was resulted where the highest-demanded wellness products in Ubud, namely yoga retreats, meditation retreats, spiritual retreats, detoxes and spa resorts. While wellness activities in Ubud are considered more relevant to Balinese-Hinduism lifestyles such as customs, cultural-religion activities and valuable-local knowledge of Balinese herbs in which are part of the wellness experience offered in Ubud.     Pengaruh Dosis dan Waktu Pemberian Kompos Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bayam Cabut (Amarathus gangeticus)

    Bayam merupakan tanaman sayuran yang cukup digemari oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Ketersediaan unsur hara pada media tanam merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat menentukan terhadap pertumbuhan bayam cabut. Pemupukan tanaman untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara dan pertumbuhan tanaman bayam dapat dilakukan menggunkan kompos. Penelitian tentang pengaruh dosis dan waktu pemberian kompos terhadap pertumbuhan bayam cabut sudah dilakuakan di Desa Terong tawah pada bulan Juni sampai dengan November 2020. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh dosis kompos terhadap pertumbuhan bayam cabut, (2). pengaruh waktu pemberian kompos terhadap pertumbuhan bayam cabut, (3) pengaruh interaksi antara dosis dan waktu pemberian kompos terhadap pertumbuhan bayam cabut, (4) kadar optimum kompos  yang harus diberikan  pada lahan pertanian agar bayam cabut tumbuh secara optimal. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan rancangan 2 faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Parameter pertumbuhan yang diukur adalah tinggi batang, jumlah daun, panjang daun dan diameter batang bayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perbedaan dosis kompos berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi batang, jumlah daun, panjang daun dan diameter batang bayam cabut, (2) perbedaan waktu pemberian kompos berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan yang diukur, (3) interaksi antara dosis dan waktu pemberian kompos tidak berpengaruh nyata semua parameter pertumbuhan yang diukur, (4) dosis optimum kompos adalah 1,5 kg per 1 m2 lahan pertanian, (5) pemberian kompos 28 hari sebelum tanam memberikan hasil pertumbuhan bayam cabut yang lebih baik dari pada perlakuan lainnya

    PENGARUH PENERAPAN METODE OBSERVASI YANG DIVARIASIKAN DENGAN LKS WORD SQUARE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 8 MATARAM

    Abstak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode observasi yang divariasikan dengan LKS words square terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Jenis penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan desain penelitian posttest-only control design. Data hasil penelitian berupa hasil belajar (kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor), dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,32 lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol masing-masing sebesar 70,08. Ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen mencapai 92% dan kelas kontrol mencapai 70%. Uji hipótesis dengan uji-t polled varian terhadap hasil belajar (Kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor) antara kelas ekeperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar biologi yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapanan  metode observasi yang divariasikan dengan LKS word square berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram tahun ajaran 2011/2012.Kata kunci: Metode Observasi, LKS Word Square, Hasil belajar Abstract. This research is held to know the effect of using the observation method varied with LKS word square to achievement  results of student class VIII student of biology SMP Negeri 8 Mataram academic year 2011/2012. This kind of research is a experiment with posttest-only control design. The results showed that the average post-test experiment class are 77.32 they are greater than the average post-test control 70.08. Exhaustiveness studied experiment class 92% and control class 70%. Test the hypothesis with the t-test variant polled on learning outcomes (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) between classes ekeperimen and control which means that there are biological differences in learning outcomes significantly between experiment and control class.     Efektivitas Penerapan Model Pembelajaran POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) Untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Konsep IPA

    Penguasaaan konsep IPA siswa SMPN 2 Kayangan masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya penguasaan konsep IPA siswa disebabkan karena pembelajaran IPA cenderung masih berpusat pada guru (teacher centered learning). Solusinya adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) yang mampu  meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) dalam meningkatan penguasaan konsep IPA siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kayangan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non Equivalence Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kayangan tahun 2019. Pengambilan  sampel  dilakukan  dengan Purposive Sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas VII1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu tes penguasaan konsep berupa soal pilihan ganda. Model pembelajaran POE dan konvensional kedua-duanya dapat efektif meningkatkan penguasaan konsep IPA kelas VII di SMPN 2 Kayangan, akan tetapi peningkatan nilai rata-rata N-gain untuk kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model POE lebih tinggi (0.8) dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (0.6).

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji mitos larangan pernikahan ngalorngulon dari perpektif masyarakat suku Jawa di Desa Tambak Rejo Kecamatan Muncar Kabupaten Banyuwangi.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah study kepustakaan dan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi . Study kepustakaan, yaitu menelaah sumber-sumber, baik itu buku, artikel, referensi-referensi yang berkaitan dengan perkawinan ngalor-ngulon, sedangkan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi adalah memperoleh sumber dari pandangan masyarakat Desa Tambak Rejo terhadap pernikahan ngalor-ngulon dan praktik pantangan pernikahan tersebut, baik yang bersumber wawancara ataupun dengan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian masyarakat didesa tambak rejo masih mempercayai larangan pernikahan teesebut, namun ada beberapa masyarakat yang kurang percaya pantangan tersebut dikarenakan tidak ada dalam ajaran agama. Mas, sedangkan dampak dari pantangan pernikahan ngalor-ngulon bagi yang percaya dan mematuhi maka kehidupannya merasa tenang karena tidak melanggar hukum adat, sedangkan bagi masyarakat yang tidak mempercayai pantangan tersebut maka akan berserah kepada tuhan YME karena rejeki dan maut ada ditangan tuha

    Response of Long Bean Vegetative Growth Due to Different Types of Mulch and Doses of Vermicompost

    Long beans are plants of the Leguminoceae family that grow on vines. Long bean growth rate is influenced by various factors. Some of the external factors that determine the growth rate of long beans are the availability of nutrients and the application of mulch on agricultural land. Research on the vegetative growth response of long bean due to different types of mulch and doses of vermicompost fertilizer has been carried out in Mertak Umbak Village, Central Lombok. This study aims to analyze: (1) the vegetative growth response of long bean due to different types of mulch, (2) the vegetative growth response of long bean due to different doses of vermicompost, (3) the effect of a combination of types of mulch and vermicompost dosage on long bean growth. Research data were analyzed using Anova. The research results show that: (1) the vermicompost treatment significantly affected the increase in total leaf and plant height, but did not have a significant effect on the length and width of long bean leaves, (2) the application of mulch had a significant effect on all observed growth parameters, the highest growth parameters were observed in the application of plastic mulch black silver, (3) the interaction of mulch type and vermicompost dosage had a significant effect on plant height but did not have a significant effect on other growth parameters

    The effect of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor)

    Spinach is a plant usually cultivated for its leaves to be consumed as green vegetables. Spinach contains vitamins, protein, fat, carbohydrates, and minerals. Research on the effect of Vermicompost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of spinach has been carried out from July to September 2021 in Lombok, Indonesia. The objectives of the study are to determine:  (1) the effect of Vermicompost on the growth of spinach, (2) the effect of NPK fertilizer on the growth of spinach, (3) the interaction effect of Vermicompost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of spinach. This research was conducted experimentally using a factorial, completely randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0 g, 0.5 g, 1 g, and 1.5 g for each plant. The second factor is the dose of Vermicompost, which consists of 5 levels, namely 0 kg, 0.6 kg, 1.2 kg, 1.8 kg, and 2.4 kg for 1 m2 of agricultural land. The vermicompost treatment was carried out ten days before planting. The NPK fertilizer treatment was carried out ten and 20 days after planting. Spinach growth parameters were stem diameter, plant height, total leaf, leaf length, and leaf width. The results of the study were: (1) the treatment of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, stem height, and stem diameter of spinach, (2) the application of Vermicompost had a significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and stem height but did not significantly affect the diameter of the stems, (3) the optimum dose of NPK fertilizer was 1 gram per plant, (4) treatment 1.8 kg vermicompost resulted in better growth of spinach compared to other

    Melon is an annual plant, growing creeping with a stem length of about 3 meters. The vegetative and generative growth of melons is influenced by genetic and environmental factors. Environmental factors that affect the growth of melons include the abundance of nutrients in the growing media. Research has been carried out on the effectiveness of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment on melon vegetative growth, with the aim of analyzing the effectiveness of vermicompost in increasing stem length, number, length and width of leaves and stem diameter of melons. effectiveness of NPK fertilizer in increasing stem length, number, length and width of leaves and stem diameter of melons. Effectiveness of the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer in stimulating melon growth.     The Effect of Vermicompost and NPK Fertilizer on Growth of Long Beans (Vigna sinensis L.)

    Long beans are short-lived plants that are widely cultivated in Indonesia. To stimulate the growth of long beans, it is necessary to fertilize with the appropriate dose for its growth. Research on the effect of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer has been carried out in Mertak Umbak Village, Central Lombok. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of the application of vermicompost on the growth of long beans, the effect of the application of NPK fertilizer on the growth of long beans and the interaction effect of the application of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of long beans. The research was carried out with a 2-factor design and 4 replications. The research data were analyzed by analysis of variance. In this study, the results showed that the treatment of vermicompost significantly increased the number of leaves and plant height, but could not increase the length and width of the long bean leaves, the application of NPK fertilizer could increase the leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves and stem length of long beans and the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment did not significantly affect all measured long bean growth parameter

    Vegetative Growth of Green Eggplant Due to Treatment of Vermicompost and NPK Fertilizer

    Green eggplant is native to the tropics. Green eggplant is one of the most popular vegetable ingredients in Indonesia. The availability of nutrients in the growing media is one of the most determining factors for the growth and yield of green eggplant. Research on vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment has been carried out from April to August 2021. This study aims to determine: (1) vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost treatment, (2) green eggplant vegetative growth due to NPK fertilizer treatment, (3) green eggplant vegetative growth due to interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment. This research was conducted in a factorial completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor is the application of NPK fertilizer which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is the treatment of vermicompost which consists of 5 levels. Research data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed: (1) treatment of NPK fertilizer with different doses significantly effected the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf length, and stem height of green eggplant. The optimum dose of NPK fertilizer was 2 grams for one plant, which produced the number of leaves, diameter stems, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant were better than treatments at other doses. (2) The treatment of vermicompost had a significant effect on the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf blade length, and stem height of green eggplant, the optimum dose of vermicompost was 1.8 kgà for 1 m2 of agricultural land, resulting in stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and green eggplant stem height was better than other treatments (3) the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant
