HeinrichIn accordance with requirements for the Masters of Public Health degree, I completed my field experience with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) in the Fall of 2011. ODPHP is a policy office whose work involves collaborating and coordinating with various federal and nonfederal agencies in support of programming, information dissemination, et cetera related to national initiatives. ODPHP’s major undertakings include developing the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, and Healthy People 2010 & 2020. ODPHP is housed within the Office of Public Health and Science under the Assistant Secretary for Health. The primary focus for my experience was to assist members of the Prevention Science Team in fulfillment of team projects and activities, as a Visiting Prevention Scholar. As a member of the science team, I made several contributions including developing a physical activity consumer brochure to be used in addition to an existing Dietary Guidelines brochure. My experience at ODPHP has given me valuable insight into the process of how a government agency supports, advises, and provides leadership to its federal and nonfederal partners in the advancement of mandated programs and policies

Comparative Study Of Islamic Economic Law And The Capitalist

The implementation ofthe capitalist system has eliminated the Islamic values in economic practice. After the financial crisis hit the world, the capitalist system reaped many questions and its greatnessbegins to be doubted. The capitalist system implementationprecisely creates new problems in the economy. The concept of individualism which is the main key in capitalist practice only creates economic injustice and misery of the poor. The only economic theory that is expected as a light in dealing with economic problems is an economic system that is able to create justice,the welfare of all parties and blessings both the world and the hereafter. The theory is the Islamic economics which in practice is inseparable from Islamiceconomic law. The Effectiveness of PNPM-SPP Program on Society Welfare: Islamic Economic Perspective

Economic activities in rural areas are still dominated by micro business sectors. The majority of business agents are women who are always constrained by capital in economic activities. Though capital is one of the most important elements in moving the economy in a rural area. Limited capital can prevent creativity in business development. Looking at the facts, people should be able to get capital easily. Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat is a national integrated poverty reduction program and is a community empowerment program launched by the government. PNPM in one of its programs facilitates the community in Obtaining additional capital by providing a capital loan for women who have a business, namely Simpan Pinjam Perempuan (SPP) program. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Simpan Pinjam Perempuan (SPP) program and the Islamic economic perspective of the SPP program in an effort to prosper the Cantuk Banyuwangi community. The variables used to measure the effectiveness of the SPP program are the variables of achieving goals, integration, real change, and satisfaction. Program effectiveness is the dependent variable. The study was conducted on 80 SPP lenders. The selection of respondents was by Sampling Cluster method. As for the data processing, the data was done by quantitative statistical analysis method and used a qualitative descriptive method for analyzing qualitative analysis data. Based on the research, the results showed that the effectiveness of the SPP program in Cantuk Banyuwangi Village was very effective with a percentage of 93.3%

PENGARUH ORGANIZATIONAL ATTITUDES DAN ORGANIZATIONAL ETHICS TERHADAP SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational attitudes and organizational ethics on the adoption of sustainable technology in MSMEs in Batam City. This study uses a sampling method in the form of Non-Probability Sampling. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, the sample was taken as many as 150 respondents.The analytical method used in this research is quantitative analysis method and data collection technique by distributing online questionnaires to entrepreneurs and MSME consumers, especially in the culinary field in the city of Batam. This research uses Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software version 22.The results show that organizational attitude has a significant effect on the adoption of sustainable technology and organizational ethics has a significant effect on the adoption of sustainable technology

Pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek terhadap Kemampuan “4C” Siswa Sekolah Dasar pada Masa Pandemi

Today's world is competing to create and utilize technology and information. The rapid development of world civilization is also a challenge for the world of education. To prepare for this, education is expected to design and implement learning that can encourage the skills needed in the 21st century. Some of the skills needed to face the challenges of the 21st century are communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creative thinking (4Cs). Project-based learning is one of the learning methods that does not only focus on results, but also pays attention to every process that occurs, and is believed to be able to encourage the desire to research and ability to solve problems, think creatively and critically, and increase the collaboration and communication power of students. This study proves that the effect of project-based learning on improving the 4C ability of students Grade V SDKr. Shining Star has a 84.7% Of  success rate. This is shown during the learning process students are able to discuss with peers in group members and state that working with groups is more effective than working independently, besides that students are also able to present problem solving and produce products that are in accordance with the plans made by the group. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which makes 12 students as research subjects. Keywords: Learning; Project; 4C

IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN DARING BERBASIS GOOGLE MEET PADA MAHASISWA IKIP BUDI UTOMO MALANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji implementasi pembelajaran daring berbasis Google meet pada mahasiswa prodi pendidikan sejarah dan sosiologi angkatan 2020 IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek pada penelitian ini mengambil 45 mahasiswa pada kelas A di prodi Pendidikan Sejarah dan Sosiologi angkatan 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode triangulasi dari data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan adanya: (1) Implementasi pembelajaran daring berbasis Google meet pada mata kuliah pengantar antro-sosiologi berjalan dengan baik dan mayoritas mahasiswa merespon dengan baik karena adanya kemudahan akses, fitur whiteboard di aplikasi Google meet tersebut dan juga solusi dari dosen ketika mahasiswa mengalami gangguan sinyal dan pemadaman listrik yang terjadi di lingkungan mahasiswa. (2) Nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa di tingkat kategori sangat baik terhadap nilai persentasi 62% dan berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase sebanyak 37%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Sejarah dan Sosiologi Fakultas Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora IKIP Budi Utomo memperoleh nilai belajar yang sangat tinggi terhadap pembelajaran daring/online berbasis Google meet karena berbagai fitur unggulan yang menunjang proses perkuliahan selama masa pandemi COVID-19

Clima social laboral y compromiso organizacional en docentes de un centro privado de formación profesional de Trujillo

Se ha realizado una investigación sustantiva, con diseño descriptivo - correlacional entre Clima Social Laboral y Compromiso organizacional en docentes de un centro privado de formación profesional de Trujillo. Para ello se trabajó con una muestra de 111 docentes de un centro privado de formación profesional de Trujillo, con edades entre 26 y 60 años, de ambos géneros, con contrato vigente en el año 2017, empleando para su evaluación a la Escala de Clima Social Laboral (WES) de Moos, Moos y Trickett (1979) y la Escala de Compromiso organizacional de Meyer y Allen (1997) Los resultados muestran que predomina en los sujetos de estudio, un nivel medio de Clima Social Laboral a nivel general y en sus dimensiones (Relaciones, Autorrealización, Estabilidad/Cambio); y un nivel medio Compromiso Organizacional, a nivel general y en sus dimensiones (Compromiso Afectivo, Compromiso Normativo, Compromiso de Continuidad). En cuanto al análisis relacional, se encontró una correlación muy significativa, positiva, en grado medio entre Clima Social Laboral y Compromiso Organizacional, ocurriendo lo mismo entre las dimensiones de ambas variables de estudio.A substantive research has been carried out, with a descriptive - correlational design between Social Work Climate and Organizational Commitment in teachers of a private vocational training center in Trujillo. To this end, we worked with a sample of 111 teachers from a private vocational training center in Trujillo, aged between 26 and 60, of both genders, with a current contract in 2017, using the Social Climate Scale for their evaluation. Labor (WES) by Moos, Moos and Trickett (1979) and the Organizational Commitment Scale by Meyer and Allen (1997). The results show that the study subjects predominate, an average level of Labor Social Climate at a general level and in its dimensions (Relationships, Self-Realization, Stability / Change); and a medium level of Organizational Commitment, at a general level and in its dimensions (Affective Commitment, Regulatory Commitment, Commitment to Continuity). Regarding the relational analysis, a very significant, positive correlation was found between Labor Social Climate and Organizational Commitment, the same thing occurring between the dimensions of both study variables.Tesi

L’utilisation du tirage au sort dans la République helvétique : à la charnière de la disparition du hasard

Dans cet article, nous revenons sur les modes d’utilisations du tirage au sort dans la République helvétique (1798-1803), qui institue le premier embryon d’État centralisé en Suisse. Il apporte un éclairage nouveau sur les pratiques et les logiques politiques d’utilisation du hasard durant cette période. Cette contribution y décrit la complexité des procédures de sélection et de désélection des représentants politiques et montre que le sort y est principalement utilisé pour son impartialité et plus faiblement pour ses vertus égalitaires. Sur cette base, cet article montre que la République helvétique constitue une période charnière entre l’époque prérévolutionnaire et la Suisse fédérale de 1848, durant laquelle les fondements de nos systèmes démocratiques représentatifs modernes sont en train de se construire, et qu’elle représente un moment essentiel pour comprendre la disparition du tirage au sort de la scène politique européenne
