MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF RESONATOR CHAINS IN EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD
Subject of Research. The paper considers a spectral problem for chains of weakly coupled ball-shaped resonators under the action of an external magnetic field. Two basic geometries are studied composed of identical resonators: the chain with a single kink and the one with symmetric branching. The vector of magnetic field induction is assumed to be perpendicular to the plane including the centers of resonators that are forming the chain. The delta-like potentials with the same intensity are applied to all contact points. Method. The mathematical model of the chain consisting of identical resonators interacting with each other via a single point is constructed in the framework of the theory of self-adjoint extensions of symmetric operators. The modification of Neumann formulas was used for adjoint operator description. Both systems have a periodicity in parts and the model itself is constructed in such way that it becomes possible to use the transfer matrix approach to obtain the spectrum of the model Hamiltonian. Main Results. The structure of the spectrum for both chains is analytically described; namely, all equations and inequalities are obtained, which give the possibility to find the bands of the continuous spectrum, as well as the energy values ββrelated to the discrete spectrum. Numerical simulation clearly demonstrates the structure of the continuous spectrum of the systems depending on the model parameters. Practical Relevance. Since the model has different variable parameters, it can be used to construct real systems that have certain spectral properties. The geometries considered in this paper are the basic elements for the construction of more complex systems
Trade in services in the Baltic States: evolution and future prospects
Trade in services in the Baltic States has traditionally been overlooked. The main objective of this article is to assess the current situation and the future prospects of trade in those services used as intermediate inputs using data from the World Input-Output Database. Unlike previous works we do not only analyze direct trade but also indirect trade, that is, the trade in intermediate services contained in goods. The results show that although traditional services reported major shares in the total volume of intermediate services exports in the Baltic States, other categories of more knowledge-intensive services are gaining importance.

The Effect of Processing Route on Properties of HfNbTaTiZr High Entropy Alloy
High entropy alloys (HEA) have been one of the most attractive groups of materials for researchers in the last several years. Since HEAs are potential candidates for many (e.g., refractory, cryogenic, medical) applications, their properties are studied intensively. The most frequent method of HEA synthesis is arc or induction melting. Powder metallurgy is a perspective technique of alloy synthesis and therefore in this work the possibilities of synthesis of HfNbTaTiZr HEA from powders were studied. Blended elemental powders were sintered, hot isostatically pressed, and subsequently swaged using a special technique of swaging where the sample is enveloped by a titanium alloy. This method does not result in a full density alloy due to cracking during swaging. Spark plasma sintering (SPS) of mechanically alloyed powders resulted in a fully dense but brittle specimen. The most promising result was obtained by SPS treatment of gas atomized powder with low oxygen content. The microstructure of HfNbTaTiZr specimen prepared this way can be refined by high pressure torsion deformation resulting in a high hardness of 410 HV10 and very fine microstructure with grain size well below 500 nm.11Ysciescopu

Influence of Heat Treatment on Defect Structures in Single-Crystalline Blade Roots Studied by X-ray Topography and Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy
Single-crystalline superalloy CMSX-4 is studied in the as-cast state and after heat treatment, with material being taken from turbine blade castings. The effect of the heat treatment on the defect structure of the root area near the selector/root connection is emphasized. Multiscale analysis is performed to correlate results obtained by X-ray topography and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS). Electron microscopy observations were also carried out to characterize the inhomogeneity in dendritic structure. The X-ray topography was used to compare defects of the misorientation nature, occurring in as-cast and treated states. The type and concentration of defects before and after heat treatment in different root areas were determined using the PALS method, which enables voids, mono-vacancies, and dislocations to be taken into account. In this way, differences in the concentration of defects caused by heat treatment are rationalized

Background. Inhibition of fibroblast growth factor receptor type 2 (FGFR2) appears to be appropriate in patients with tumors expressing or amplifying FGFR2. The toxicity of allosteric FGFR2 inhibitors has not been previously studied.Purpose. Evaluation of the toxicity of the anticancer drug alofanib (RPT835), allosteric inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 type (FGFR2), in standard experimental in-vivo models in rodents and non-rodents.Material and methods. The general toxic effect of the alofanib was studied in an acute and chronic experiment on outbred animals (rats and rabbits) of both sexes. An experimental study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of handling laboratory animals.Results. The assumption that inhibition of FGFR2 provides a low level of toxicity has been proved. It was established that alofanib belongs to the 4 class of low-toxic chemical substances according to the classification of hazard levels of toxic effects of drugs and to the low-risk drugs by the value of the index of the therapeutic action, as well as to the 3 class (low-toxic drugs) according to the class of hazards for clinical application. Alofanib doesnΒ»t cause allergenic and immunotoxic effects as well as doesnΒ»t have pyrogenic properties. Increase of phosphates level (class-specific adverse effect of FGFR2 inhibitors) was statistically significant but less evident. During the study was noticed such an adverse effect as inhibition of spermatogenesis.Conclusion. Alofanib belongs to the classes of low-hazard and low-toxic chemicals and can be studied in a clinical study.ΠΠΊΡΡΠ°Π»ΡΠ½ΠΎΡΡΡ. The study involved 20 rats, with two burns on each. The rats were divided into 4 groups: untreated; treated with levomekol ointment; treated with levomekol ointment associated
with nanoparticles and an external magnetic field; and treated with magnetic field alone. Histological
examination was conducted on Day 14, and in all groups, in the thermal burn zone of the skin there were
signs of deep three- and four-degree
burns with necrosis spread through the dermis, reaching the muscle.
In the group with levomekol ointment associated with nanoparticles and magnetic field, inflammation
was decreased, and focal granulation tissue formation was observed. Thus, histological studies of the
burn wound process in laboratory animals showed that the use of an innovative biologically active
wound healing agent based on nanoparticles in combination with the levomecol ointment improved
tissue regeneration and accelerated epithelialization, which enhanced the effectiveness of burn wound
treatment. The use of an external magnetic field facilitated targeted delivery of the therapeutic nanosystem
and maintenance of the optimal concentration of the drug in the woun
INFORMATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE FORMATION IN THE TEXT ACTIVITY PROCESS
The paper is devoted to the problem of fostering the informational and communicative competence, regarded as the capability of meaningful work with information, its personalized understanding and implementation in professional activity. As a solution to the problem, the author indicates the developing potential of text activity, performed in a dialog enriched by ideas of hermeneutics and meaning-making. The competence in question should be developed stage-by-stage by role-playing the professionally focused situations; applying the symbolic contextual approach by A. A. Verbitsky; using different tasks to enable understanding, comprehension of new semantics, correlation with students' personal experience; and promoting self-understanding, selfawareness and value attitude. The above activitiesΒ should result in training competent experts with a broad cultural outlook and capability to adapt to and work in the modern information society, find creative solutions to the complex challenges, and communicate in the global cross-cultural environment

In the article the demand to develop research activity of modern professionals which should form the basis of practice-oriented training within the multilevel system of Russian education. The research culture can be developed under the condition of forming information-communicative competence as an ability to understand and develop humanitarian meanings of subject information in communication and professional activity. The methodological basis of this research is formed by: the competence approach (I. A. Zimnyaya, A. V. Khutorskoy, etc.), the socio-personal approach (V. I. Zagvyazinsky), the semiosociopsychological theory (T. M. Dridze), the bases of pedagogical hermeneutics (A. F. Zakirova), the laws of meaningmaking (E. G. Belyakova), and contextual training (A. A. Verbitsky). The process of fostering the information-communicative competence is presented employing the example of teacher-training activity, as if university and school teachers don't have research culture, they can't broadcast it to future humanitarian, natural-science and engineering professionals to develop their innovative potential. The technology of fostering the information-communicative competence is based on the mechanism of reading comprehension as intelligent work with texts in the conditions of a dialogue and the process is built in the logics of its development: motivation and activation of subject experience; understanding of the subject content of the text; interpretation of the humanitarian context; semantic summary of the new experience. With help of reading comprehension it becomes possible to foster abilities of working with information, using dialogue and group interaction. At the same time this allows to get into the contents of subject texts, to comprehend humanitarian meanings of professional activity, and to realize the readiness for professional activity
