    An alternative method to solve combined economic emission dispatch problems using flower pollination algorithm

    Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA) is a new biologically inspired meta-heuristic optimization technique based the pollination process of flowers. FPA mimics the flower pollination characteristics in order to survival by the fittest. This research presents implementation of FPA optimization in solving Combined Economic Emission Dispatch (CEED) problems in power system which minimize total generation cost by minimizing fuel cost and emission. Increasing in power demand requires effective solution to provide sufficient electricity to customer with minimum cost of operation at the same time considering emission. CEED actually is a multi-objective problem and need complex programming to solve it. The problem becomes complicated when there is practical constraints to be considered as well. To simplify the programming, objective of economic dispatch (ED) and emission dispatch (EmD) are combined into a single function by price penalty factor and analysed using weighted sum method to choose the best compromising result. In this research, the valve point loading effect problem in power system also will be considered. The proposed algorithm are tested on four different test systems which are: 6-generating unit and 11-generating unit without valve point effect with no transmission loss, 10-generating unit with having valve point effect and transmission loss, and lastly 40-generating unit with having valve point effect without transmission loss. The results of these four different test cases were compared with the optimization techniques reported in recent literature in order to observe the effectiveness of FPA.     While economic growth has undeniably enhanced individuals' quality of life, it has also played a role in numerous environmental issues, such as pollution, depletion of natural resources, escalating greenhouse gas emissions, and the consequential phenomena of global warming and climate change. This study examines the antecedents of green purchase intention (GPI) and pro-environmental behaviour (PEB) and the role of green purchase attitude (GPA) and green trust (GTR) as mediators. The results revealed that green knowledge, social status and perceived value are significant predictors of GPI, which significantly predicted PEB, while GPA and GTR are significant mediators. &nbsp

This championship flag was first given to the winning baseball team during the Chosun National Athletic Meet in July, 1920 and therefore carries importance in Korean sports history. The conservation process began with the following goals: to understand the current condition of the relic, to reduce the soils, to repair and reinforce the deteriorated areas, and to prevent further major damages to the relic

    Cross-shelf exchange in the northwestern Black Sea

    The transports of water, heat, and salt between the northwestern shelf and deep interior of the Black Sea are investigated using a high-resolution three-dimensional primitive equation model. From April to August 2005, both onshore and offshore cross-shelf break transports in the top 20 m were 0.24 Sv on average, which is equivalent to the replacement of 60% of the volume of surface shelf waters (0–20 m) per month. Two main exchange mechanisms are studied: Ekman transport, and transport by mesoscale eddies and associated meanders of the Rim Current. The Ekman drift causes nearly uniform onshore or offshore flow over a large section of the shelf break, but it is confined to the upper layers. In contrast, eddies and meanders penetrate deep down to the bottom, but they are restricted laterally. During the strong wind events of 15–22 April and 1–4 July, some 0.66 × 1012 and 0.44 × 1012 m3 of water were removed from the northwestern shelf, respectively. In comparison, the single long-lived Sevastopol Eddy generated a much larger offshore transfer of 2.84 × 1012 m3 over the period 23 April to 30 June, which is equivalent to 102% of the volume of northwestern shelf waters. Over the study period, salt exchanges increased the average density of the shelf waters by 0.67 kg m−3 and reduced the density contrast between the shelf and deep sea, while lateral heat exchanges reduced the density of the shelf waters by 0.16 kg m−3 and sharpened the shelf break front

    Coexisting Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm of the Pancreas and Type 1 Autoimmune Pancreatitis

    Type 1 autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP1) is an IgG4-related systemic disease that mimics tumors. We report a rare case of AIP1 accompanied by mucinous cystic neoplasm (MCN). A pancreatic lesion was incidentally detected in a woman in her 60s. After 6 years of follow-up, the lesion abruptly increased in size. Computed tomography showed a 3.5 cm unilocular cyst in the tail of the pancreas and distal pancreatectomy was performed. On microscopic examination, the cyst was lined by mucinous and non-mucinous epithelial cells with mild cytologic atypia. The surrounding stroma comprised ovarian-type spindle cells with progesterone receptor positivity. The pericystic pancreas exhibited multifocal lymphoid follicles, lymphoplasmacytic infiltrations, obliterative phlebitis, and storiform fibrosis. IgG4-positive plasma cell infiltration (215 cells high-power field) and the IgG4/IgG ratio (57%) were increased. Cases of MCN coexisting with AIP1 are extremely rare; only two such cases have been reported in the English-language literature. This third case featured low-grade MCN with AIP1

    Idiopathic Isolated Omental Panniculitis Confirmed by Percutaneous CT-Guided Biopsy

    The preoperative diagnosis of intraabdominal panniculitis is difficult due to its rarity. However, the increased use of abdominal computed tomography (CT) for a variety of indications has increased the diagnosis of intraabdominal panniculitis, including omental panniculitis. The characteristic CT features of intraabdominal panniculitis are increased attenuation of the adipose tissue, the fat-ring sign, a tumoral pseudocapsule, soft-tissue nodules, and a left-sided orientation of mass maximum transverse diameter. Recognition of these features is valuable in the diagnosis of panniculitis, and hence percutaneous CT-guided biopsy to determine their presence may prevent unwarranted surgery. We report the case of a 61-year-old man found to have an idiopathic isolated omental panniculitis that was diagnosed by abdominal CT and percutaneous CT-guided biopsy

    Coinfection of hepatitis A virus genotype IA and IIIA complicated with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, prolonged cholestasis, and false-positive immunoglobulin M anti-hepatitis E virus: a case report

    A 37-year-old male presented with fever and jaundice was diagnosed as hepatitis A complicated with progressive cholestasis and severe autoimmune hemolytic anemia. He was treated with high-dose prednisolone (1.5 mg/kg), and eventually recovered. His initial serum contained genotype IA hepatitis A virus (HAV), which was subsequently replaced by genotype IIIA HAV. Moreover, at the time of development of hemolytic anemia, he became positive for immunoglobulin M (IgM) anti-hepatitis E virus (HEV). We detected HAV antigens in the liver biopsy specimen, while we detected neither HEV antigen in the liver nor HEV RNA in his serum. This is the first report of hepatitis A coinfected with two different genotypes manifesting with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, prolonged cholestasis, and false-positive IgM anti-HEV
