Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations and the Calogero-Sutherland-Moser integrable models with exchange terms
It is shown that from some solutions of generalized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov
equations one can construct eigenfunctions of the Calogero-Sutherland-Moser
Hamiltonians with exchange terms, which are characterized by any given
permutational symmetry under particle exchange. This generalizes some results
previously derived by Matsuo and Cherednik for the ordinary
Calogero-Sutherland-Moser Hamiltonians.Comment: 13 pages, LaTeX, no figures, to be published in J. Phys.
Development of laminar flow control wing surface porous structure
It was concluded that the chordwise air collection method, which actually combines chordwise and spanwise air collection, is the best of the designs conceived up to this time for full chord laminar flow control (LFC). Its shallower ducting improved structural efficiency of the main wing box resulting in a reduction in wing weight, and it provided continuous support of the chordwise panel joints, better matching of suction and clearing airflow requirements, and simplified duct to suction source minifolding. Laminar flow control on both the upper and lower surfaces was previously reduced to LFC suction on the upper surface only, back to 85 percent chord. The study concludes that, in addition to reduced wing area and other practical advantages, this system would be lighter because of the increase in effective structural wing thickness
Generalization of a result of Matsuo and Cherednik to the Calogero-Sutherland- Moser integrable models with exchange terms
A few years ago, Matsuo and Cherednik proved that from some solutions of the
Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations, which first appeared in conformal field
theory, one can obtain wave functions for the Calogero integrable system. In
the present communication, it is shown that from some solutions of generalized
KZ equations, one can construct wave functions, characterized by any given
permutational symmetry, for some Calogero-Sutherland-Moser integrable models
with exchange terms. Such models include the spin generalizations of the
original Calogero and Sutherland ones, as well as that with -function

Multi-Phonon -Vibrational Bands and the Triaxial Projected Shell Model
We present a fully quantum-mechanical, microscopic, unified treatment of
ground-state band and multi-phonon -vibrational bands using shell model
diagonalization with the triaxial projected shell model. The results agree very
well with data on the g- and -band spectra in Er, as well
as with recently measured 2-phonon -bandhead energies in
Er and Er. Multi-phonon -excitation energies are

The 2020 IDS release of the Antwerp COR*-database. Evaluation, development and transformation of a pre-existing database
The Antwerp COR*-IDS database 2020 is a transformed and harmonized historical demographic database
in a cross-nationally comparable format designed to be open and easy to use for international researchers.
The database is constructed from the 2010 release of the Antwerp COR*-historical demographic database,
which was created using a letter sample of the whole district of Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium). It has a
total sample size of +/- 33,000 residents of Antwerp. The sample spans nearly seven decades. The data is
collected from historical records: including population registers and vital registration records covering births,
marriages, in/external migrations and deaths. The database covers up to three linked generations (in some
cases more), and contains micro-data on individual level life courses, and relationships deriving from addressbased
household composition methods. An important characteristic is the sample's large migrant population,
including the timings of their demographic events and living arrangements, whilst resident in the district of
Antwerp. In addition, the sample also contains a large array of occupational level information. This paper
presents the processes, methodologies and documentation regarding the evaluation and development of a
pre-existing historical database. This includes the systematic evaluation of the original samples, methodologies
for address based reconstructing of households, and the geocoding of a historical database which took place

Many-body correlations in a multistep variational approach
We discuss a multistep variational approach for the study of many-body
correlations. The approach is developed in a boson formalism (bosons
representing particle-hole excitations) and based on an iterative sequence of
diagonalizations in subspaces of the full boson space. Purpose of these
diagonalizations is that of searching for the best approximation of the ground
state of the system. The procedure also leads us to define a set of excited
states and, at the same time, of operators which generate these states as a
result of their action on the ground state. We examine the cases in which these
operators carry one-particle one-hole and up to two-particle two-hole
excitations. We also explore the possibility of associating bosons to
Tamm-Dancoff excitations and of describing the spectrum in terms of only a
selected group of these. Tests within an exactly solvable three-level model are

Fluctuation properties of strength functions associated with giant resonances
We performed fluctuation analysis by means of the local scaling dimension for
the strength function of the isoscalar (IS) and the isovector (IV) giant
quadrupole resonances (GQR) in Ca, where the strength functions are
obtained by the shell model calculation within up to the 2p2h configurations.
It is found that at small energy scale, fluctuation of the strength function
almost obeys the Gaussian orthogonal ensemble (GOE) random matrix theory limit.
On the other hand, we found a deviation from the GOE limit at the intermediate
energy scale about 1.7MeV for the IS and at 0.9MeV for the IV. The results
imply that different types of fluctuations coexist at different energy scales.
Detailed analysis strongly suggests that GOE fluctuation at small energy scale
is due to the complicated nature of 2p2h states and that fluctuation at the
intermediate energy scale is associated with the spreading width of the
Tamm-Dancoff 1p1h states.Comment: 14 pages including 13figure
Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions in the six-state clock model
Classical 2D clock model is known to have a critical phase with
Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless(BKT) transitions. These transitions have
logarithmic corrections which make numerical analysis difficult. In order to
resolve this difficulty, one of the authors has proposed the method called
level spectroscopy, which is based on the conformal field theory. We extend
this method to the multi-degenerated case. As an example, we study the
classical 2D 6-clock model which can be mapped to the quantum self-dual 1D
6-clock model. Additionally, we confirm that the self-dual point has a precise
numerical agreement with the analytical result, and we argue the degeneracy of
the excitation states at the self-dual point from the effective field
theoretical point of view.Comment: 18pages, 7figure
Anharmonic double-phonon excitations in the interacting boson model
Double- vibrations in deformed nuclei are analyzed in the context of
the interacting boson model. A simple extension of the original version of the
model towards higher-order interactions is required to explain the observed
anharmonicities of nuclear vibrations. The influence of three- and four-body
interactions on the moments of inertia of ground- and -bands, and on
the relative position of single- and double- bands is studied
in detail. As an example of a realistic calculation, spectra and transitions of
the highly -anharmonic nuclei Dy, Er, and Er
