The objective of this paper is to explore the sustainable management approach in film production by examining tangible green film policy solutions in Poland. Specifically, the article contributes to mapping the green film ecosystem in Poland. First, it points to different green screen practices, showing actions that promote an environmentally sustainable approach to film production. Artykuł stanowi przegląd ekosystemu zielonej produkcji filmowej w Polsce. Po pierwsze, wskazuje różne praktyki w zakresie zielonej produkcji rozpowszechniające zrównoważoną produkcję filmową. W artykule starano się wykazać, że zarządzanie informacją może być traktowane jako narzędzie minimalizowania kosztów funkcjonowania biblioteki. Postawiono wiele pytań, które powinny być pomocne w efektywnym ich wykorzystaniu przez kadrę menedżerską. Infodemia w pandemii : w kierunku infodemiologii

The purpose of this paper is to present a preliminary concept of an infodemiological approach to solving information problems that carry, and are likely to carry, emerging and as yet unknown threats. The analysis of the pandemic, infodemic, and related misinformation was limited to the sphere of issues related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic and the disease caused by it, termed, according to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) recommendations, COVID-19. The research was conducted using the desk research method and critical analysis of scientific literature. Infodemic was presented as a context of behaviour of information prosumers, and factors of information users’ susceptibility to disinformation were indicated. Key actions to support “information resilience” to disinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic are outlined with examples from the WHO, European institutions, the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO), and fact-checking platforms. The “infodemiological” approach – innovative on the ground in Poland – certainly requires further research and in-depth analysis

Warunkiem swobodnego rozwoju otwartej nauki na szczeblu globalnym jest otwarty dostęp do publikacji i danych badawczych. Celem wystąpienia jest usystematyzowanie wielości zagadnień, które wiążą się z podejmowaniem celowych i przemyślanych działań zmierzających do budowania nowego modelu komunikacji naukowej i udostępniania wiedzy w uczelni wyższej. Kontekstem rozważań jest perspektywa organizatora optymalizacji wykorzystania zasobów nauki (teoretyka i praktyka). Rezultatem badań literaturowych, studiowania najlepszych praktyk oraz obserwacji własnych jest zaproponowanie ram porządkujących oczekiwania, sposoby postępowania, strategie i przyjmowane standardy, co stanowić ma przyczynek do większej spójności środków i działań wzmacniających środowisko otwartej komunikacji naukowej na uczelni

Metodologiczne problemy prowadzenia audytu informacji

Przez wielu badaczy audyt informacyjny sytuowany jest jako kluczowe podejoecie do efektywnego zarz¹dzania informacj¹ w organizacjach. W referacie zaprezentowano cztery najczêoeciej cytowane metodologie prowadzenia audytu informacji. W celu przeprowadzenia analizy porównawczej wyró¿niono i zastosowano trzy wskaŸniki: wszechstronnooeæ metodologii, zastosowalnooeæ oraz u¿ytecznooeæ. W rozwa¿aniach nad rol¹ i zakresem audytu informacji wykorzystano „Macierz zakresu audytu informacji” zaproponowan ¹ przez Buchanan & Gibb (2007). Rozwa¿ono tak¿e umiejêtnooeci wymagane do prowadzenia audytu informacji. Methodological problems of conducting the information audit. Numerous researchers take the information audit as a key approach to effective information management in organizations. The study presents four most often cited methodologies of conducting the information audit. In order to perform a comparative analysis three indexes have been distinguished and applied: methodology comprehensiveness, applicability and usefulness. In the discussion on the role and scope of the information audit “the information audit scope matrix” as proposed by Buchanan & Gibb (2007) is used. The skills required to conduct the information audit are also discussed

FINANSOWANIE KINEMATOGRAFII W EUROPIE – ROLA PUBLICZNYCH FUNDUSZY WSPIERAJĄCYCH PRODUKCJĘ FILMOWĄ

Pomimo żarliwej deklaracji Louisa Lumière’a, że „kinematografia to sztuka bez przyszłości”, wygłoszonej podczas pierwszej publicznej projekcji filmu w 1895 roku, kino – często nazywane „siódmą sztuką” – osiągnęło niezwykły rozwój zarówno w sensie ekonomicznym, jak i artystycznym. W 2005 roku obchodzi swoje sto dziesiąte urodziny, i mimo skromnych początków, późniejsze wprowadzenie do filmu koloru i dźwięku sprawiło, że jego fenomen, zarówno ten magiczny, jak i ekonomiczny, wciąż zadziwia i przyciąga miliony widzów na całym świecie. Przez lata kino dostosowywało się do zmieniającego się otoczenia i w związku z tym przeszło samo wiele zmian. Najważniejsza – udźwiękowienie filmu – sprawiła, że kino stało się jeszcze bardziej atrakcyjne i popularne. Kolejne zmiany były spowodowane rozwojem nowych technologii, które umożliwiły transmitowanie filmów drogą telewizyjną, a więc dotarcie do dużo większej liczby widzów. Film nie był już tylko wyświetlany w salach kinowych, ale zaistniał w każdym domu dzięki telewizji, magnetowidom, odtwarzaczom dvd i komputerom

Bibliometric analysis in the evaluation of journals published by the Forest Research Institute: Forest Research Papers and Folia Forestalia Polonica Series A – Forestry

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in interest in publishing articles in journals recorded by global databases, in particular the Web of Science ™ Core Collection, which indexes journals found in the Journal Citation Reports. The publication of results in these journals has a significant impact on the assessment of the achievements of researchers and scientific institutions. Our study focused on the bibliometric analysis of two journals published by the Forest Research Institute: Forest Research Papers (Leśne Prace Badawcze) and Folia Forestalia Polonica Series A – Forestry. The results of these analyses were used to develop theoretical indices for the editorial boards of these journals in terms of requirements for including both periodicals in the Journal Citation Reports. The analysis covered the volumes published in 2000–2015 and the publication activity of the journals was evaluated on the basis of the numbers of articles, references, authors and journal citations. Bibliometric indicators such as the predicted Impact Factor, the Hirsch index, the Scimago Journal Rank and the Index Copernicus Value were used to evaluate the rank of the journals within the databases. In the examined period, 65 volumes of Forest Research Papers were published, with an average of 31 articles per year containing about 14,000 references and almost 900 contributing authors. During the same time frame, 30 volumes of Folia Forestalia Polonica Series A – Forestry were published, with an average of 14 articles per year. These articles included approximately 5,000 references and 600 authors. An increase in the bibliometric indicators for both journals was observed with the Impact Factor predicted to rise to 0.192 (Forest Research Papers) and 0.178 (Folia Forestalia Polonica Series A – Forestry). In order for the two examined journals to be included in the Journal Citation Reports the following requirements need to be met: (1) an increased number of articles published by authors with significant international authority in their field, (2) a greater number of researchers, especially from developed countries, in advisory boards, (3) more articles published in individual volumes to reach higher citation numbers in databases, and (4) promotion of the most cited articles

"Exploratory search" - kłopoty architekta informacji z terminologią

Information environments (co-) designed by information architects should significantly support the users in obtaining information. Using English-language literature as source of examples, the author characterizes user activity type referred to as exploratory search, especially the concept of information foraging, which she suggests calling “traversing information environments”. This article aims at clarifying and organizing Polish terminology related to exploratory practices and user experiences. The analysis of Polish sources on information science of the 21st century evidences the terminological disorder. The author believes that order, precision and terminological consistency are especially needed in the dynamically developing area of information architecture in Poland, especially if treated as an academic discipline. The findings contribute to the theory and methodology of the Polish school of information architecture. The author believes that a constructive discussion of information professionals might be initiated by the proposals presented in this article
