portugueses. Desta forma foi possível identificar as visões e expectativas desses
profissionais quanto à tecnologia, compreendendo questões relevantes a serem avaliadas
Increasingly present in our daily lives, Augmented Reality (AR) is a current and recurrent
theme in numerous fields of action, and in the museum space it could not be different.
Today, museums are constantly challenged to present their objects in a more interactive
and attractive way, attending the sociocultural changes of the last decades. The use of
new technology in the museum, such as AR, is an attempt to answer the challenges
imposed by the new generation of visitors.
Thus, while there are numerous studies that examine the benefits of using AR in
museums and the experiences of its visitors, there is few research that further examines
museum professionals' perspectives and experiences with AR within the museum space.
The present study seeks to explore and describe the perspectives and perceptions of
museum professionals who have been involved in the creation or application of AR
technology within the museum. In order to achieve this goal, we employed the grounded
theory using semi structured interviews with professionals from 10 Portuguese museums
as a data collection technique. In this way it was possible to identify the visions and
expectations of these professionals regarding the technology, understanding relevant
issues to be evaluated in the use of AR in these environments. The results obtained in the
interviews helped identify six categories of advantages and seven categories of challenges
and limitations that allow us to understand and outline a set of guidelines to achieve the
full potential of AR in the museum sector.
With this research we aim to understand where we currently stand in terms of the
production of AR experiences in museums. Evaluating, in a comprehensive way, how
Portuguese museums are dealing and working with this technology. We believe that the
results obtained may contribute to a deeper understanding of AR implementation in
museums
Objective: To identify, from a group of children, the etiological factors of halitosis, as well as to determine its prevalence and ascertain the diagnostic and treatment methods used in clinical practice.
Methods: Cross-sectional study using two online questionnaires. The first one filled-out by parents/legal guardians of children from 2 to 12 years of age and the other by dentists who normally examine children.
Results: 138 children participated in this study, of which 43.5%, according to their parents/legal guardians, had halitosis. Concerning to tongue hygiene, from the 60 children with halitosis only 31.7% had daily hygiene habits. On the other hand, 65% of children with halitosis used to sleep with their mouth open and 20% of these children were showing a breathing problem. Regarding the association between mouth breathing and the time of day when children had halitosis, it was found that approximately 45% had halitosis only in the morning. From the 31 dentists, 71% used organoleptic methods as a method of determining halitosis and 66.7% considered oral hygiene instructions as the main treatment for halitosis.
Conclusion: The prevalence of halitosis had a high result and its association with the absence of tongue hygiene was proven. With regard to its respiratory etiology, there was also a consistent association with halitosis. Regarding its gastric etiology, more studies are needed
The high turnover rate of IT professionals is currently one of the biggest challenges that organizations are facing. This difficulty has been aggravated by the transformations of the labor force that is dominating this specific labor market - the millennial - more flexible and predisposed to change, making talent retention difficult.
The present project aims to promote the rotation of tasks and emerges as a response of a desire for diversity of tasks and new professional challenges that have been pointed out in the literature as some of the main reasons that lead the employees to leave their companies.
In the first phase, we analyzed the exit interviews (2018), aiming to identify the reasons that lead employees to leave the organization, in order to identify strategies that may contain their exit movements. This resulted in an outline of our internal mobility project which was, in a second phase, discussed within two focus groups, involving a total of twenty employees from the pilot group that was chosen to implement the project. This phase allowed the identification of the employees' objectives and their main concerns regarding the project and, thus, introducing points of improvement that led to the final project.
It is hoped that the rotation of employees that this project influences might benefit, on one hand, the professional development of employees, through greater learning experiences, autonomy in the performance of their tasks and the possibility to experience new challenges and, on the other hand, the retention of employees in the company.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
As UCCI-MDR integram a RNCCI
estatísticos a precisão e a exatidão.
Abstract - Background: With the growing importance of improving the quality of care and focusing
the health system on the citizen, collaboration with stakeholders through satisfaction
assessment is essential. The UCCI-MDR integrates the RNCCI developed with the
objective of providing long-term care to people with functional limitations and chronic
conditions, regardless of age. However, a population that is older is the one who, mostly,
enjoys the system. This study aims at the development of a research instrument, and its
validation through the analysis of validity and reliability.
Methodology: The research methodology adopted presupposes a quantitative
approach, of an exploratory nature, using the questionnaire method by selfadministration
and by interview. Of the 9 units contacted 4 collaborated with the present
project, obtaining a total sample n = 41, except for the test-retest (n = 31). To validate
the questionnaire, statistical methods were used to evaluate the validity and reliability.
Results: The sample is characterized by a female population, with a mean age of 59.34
years and the main degree of kinship is child. About validity, the instrument was validated
by experts on the content, and it was not possible to obtain conclusive results regarding
the validation of the criterion. Regarding the precision, a very good internal consistency
was obtained with a Cronbach's alpha = 0.938, for the total of the items. Regarding the
test-retest the results vary between 0,649 e 0,783 in the ICC analysis and in the t-student
test, except for one dimension, there are no statistically significant differences in the
means between test and retest.
Conclusion: Despite the limitations of the underlying research, the research instrument
developed is reliable, since it presents a very good internal consistency and temporal
stability by the test-retest. It is also validated when in content, but not in terms of criteria
and construct
This study in the area of the History of International Relations has as subject the Jews exodus in the context of the British and German foreign policy and balance of powers during the World Wars and their impact on regional microcosm of Madeira Island. This island appears as a case study that illustrates the two world powers crash and their relation with the Jewish diaspora.
The nineteenth century marks the arrival of Jewish families motivated by commercial interests, which gained high-status in Madeiran society, based on the charges they occupied and through their marriages. In the period preceding the outbreak of the Second World War the island received several Jews escaping Nazi Germany. During the conflict it was also possible to find Jews from Eastern Europe, refugees from Gibraltar and the descendants of the families who settled in the nineteenth century.
Currently this presence is fundable in Madeira by a cemetery in a high state of degradation, a few foreign Jews residing, a group of people seeking their Jewish roots (Bnei Anussim) and some descendants of the first families that are assimilated in Madeiran society
Optical/NIR stellar absorption and emission-line indices from luminous infrared galaxies
We analyze a set of optical-to-near-infrared long-slit nuclear spectra of 16
infrared-luminous spiral galaxies. All of the studied sources present H
emission, which reflects the star-forming nature of our sample, and they
clearly display H I emission lines in the optical. Their continua contain many
strong stellar absorption lines, with the most common features due to Ca I, Ca
II, Fe I, Na I, Mg I, in addition to prominent absorption bands of TiO, VO,
ZrO, CN and CO. We report a homogeneous set of equivalent width (EW)
measurements for 45 indices, from optical to NIR species for the 16
star-forming galaxies as well as for 19 early type galaxies where we collected
the data from the literature. This selected set of emission and
absorption-feature measurements can be used to test predictions of the
forthcoming generations of stellar population models. We find correlations
among the different absorption features and propose here correlations between
optical and NIR indices, as well as among different NIR indices, and compare
them with model predictions. While for the optical absorption features the
models consistently agree with the observations, the NIR indices are much harder
to interpret. For early-type spirals the measurements agree roughly with the
models, while for star-forming objects they fail to predict the strengths of
these indices.Comment: accepted for publication in MNRA
The pathogenic and colonization potential of Candida africana
The Candida albicans population displays high genetic diversity illustrated by 18-well differentiated genetic clusters. Cluster 13, also known as Candida africana, is an outlying cluster and includes strains first described as atypical C. albicans isolates of vaginal origin, showing apparent tropism for the female genital tract. In our study, we combined in vitro, and in vivo models to explore the colonization and pathogenic potential of C. africana. We report that C. africana has similar fitness to C. albicans when it comes to colonization of the oral and vaginal mucosa, however it has decreased fitness in gastro-intestinal colonization and systemic infection. Interestingly, despite high population homogeneity, our in vitro data highlighted for the first time a variability in terms of growth rate, biofilm formation and filamentation properties between C. africana strains. Overall, our data lays the foundations for exploring specific features of C. africana that might contribute to its apparent niche restriction

Staphylococcus saprophyticus Recovered from Humans, Food, and Recreational Waters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Staphylococcus saprophyticus is an important agent of urinary tract infection (UTI) in young women, but information about this pathogen in human microbiota and in common environment is lacking. The aim of this study was to characterize S. saprophyticus isolates from genitoanal microbiota of 621 pregnant women, 10 minas cheese packs, and five beaches in Rio de Janeiro city and compare PFGE profiles of these isolates with five UTI PFGE clusters described in this city. We investigated 65 S. saprophyticus isolates from microbiota, 13 from minas cheese, and 30 from beaches and 32 UTI isolates. Antimicrobial resistance was determined by disk diffusion, MIC by agar dilution, and PCR. Erythromycin-resistance genes erm(C), msr(A), msr(B), mph(C), and lin(A) were found in 93% of isolates. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole resistance correlated with dfrG or dfrA genes. Three cefoxitin-resistant isolates carried the mecA gene. All isolates obtained from cheese were susceptible to all antimicrobial agents. Six of 10 pregnant women with >1 isolate had monoclonal colonization. Isolates from pregnant women shared 100% similarity with UTI PFGE cluster types A and E obtained almost 10 years previously, suggesting temporal persistence of S. saprophyticus. Antimicrobial resistance of beach isolates reflected the profiles of human isolates. Taken together, results indicate a shared source for human and environmental isolates
