Seeking And Evaluating The Regulations Of Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone
Regulation is the cornerstone for utilizing marine fisheries resources, and thus Indonesian Government had implemented its Constitution as basic laws and rules. Those regulations need further elaboration. Therefore, Indonesian Government established sets of laws related to the utilization of marine fisheries resources, and in its implementation, those laws and regulations should never deviate from the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The utilization of marine fisheries resources in Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone enables the possibility of cooperation and colaboration with other countries. Therefore, Indonesia is required to seek by evaluating and complementing the laws in accordance with its Constitution. Pengaturan merupakan landasan utama pemanfaatan sumber daya perikanan, Indonesia telah menyiapkan aturan dasar yaitu Landasan Konstitusional. Pengaturan tersebut perlu penjabaran lebih lanjut. Oleh karena itu Indonesia membentuk aturan-aturan yang terkait dengan pemanfaatan sumber daya ikan dan dalam implementasinya aturan tersebut tidak boleh menyimpang dari aturan yang paling dasar. Endovenous laser ablation: the role of intraluminal blood
AbstractObjectiveIn this histological study, the role of the intraluminal blood during endovenous laser ablation was assessed.MethodsIn 12 goats, 24 lateral saphenous veins were treated with a 1500-nm diode laser. Four goats were treated in an anti-Trendelenburg position (group 1). The next four goats were treated in a Trendelenburg position (group 2) and the remaining four goats in the Trendelenburg position with additional injection of tumescent liquid (group 3). Postoperatively, the veins were removed after 1 week and sent for histological examination. We measured the number of perforations. Vein wall necrosis and the perivenous tissue destruction were quantified using a graded scale.ResultsThe âcalculated total vein wall destructionâ was significantly higher in the third group (81.83%), as compared with groups one (61.25%) (p < 0.001) and two (65.92%) (p < 0.001). All three groups showed a significant difference in the perivenous tissue destruction scale (p < 0.001) with the lowest score occurring in the third group. Vein wall perforations were significantly more frequent in groups one and two as compared with the third group (T-test respectively p < 0.001, p = 0.02).ConclusionA higher intraluminal blood volume results in reduced total vein wall destruction. Injection of tumescent liquid prevents the perivenous tissue destruction and minimises the number of perforations
Evaluation of the phosphomannose isomerase-based selection system for gene transfer in grape
The suitability of the PMI-based system for efficient gene transfer in grape was assessed on V. vinifera âBrachettoâ and âChardonnayâ and the rootstock '110 Richter'. The effect of mannose on non-transformed tissues was evaluated during a long culture period in the crucial stages of morphogenesis from callus to plantlet. Grape tissues of the genotypes used were affected by mannose as the carbohydrate source, damage, however, appeared after extremely long culture times. In addition, plantlets were regenerated from embryogenic calli after co-culture with Agrobacterium LBA 4404 carrying the manA gene in the PMI-GUS-Intron plasmid based on the pNOV2819 vector by Syngenta (PositechÂź system). Plants recovered after selection in the presence of mannose were found to be non-transgenic for the manA gene. Accordingly, PMI seems to be an unsuitable alternative to traditional marker gene selection for successful gene transfer in grape.
Relaxation times of kinetically constrained spin models with glassy dynamics
We analyze the density and size dependence of the relaxation time for
kinetically constrained spin systems. These have been proposed as models for
strong or fragile glasses and for systems undergoing jamming transitions. For
the one (FA1f) or two (FA2f) spin facilitated Fredrickson-Andersen model at any
density and for the Knight model below the critical density at which
the glass transition occurs, we show that the persistence and the spin-spin
time auto-correlation functions decay exponentially. This excludes the
stretched exponential relaxation which was derived by numerical simulations.
For FA2f in , we also prove a super-Arrhenius scaling of the form
. For FA1f in = we
rigorously prove the power law scalings recently derived in \cite{JMS} while in
we obtain upper and lower bounds consistent with findings therein.
Our results are based on a novel multi-scale approach which allows to analyze
in presence of kinetic constraints and to connect time-scales and
dynamical heterogeneities. The techniques are flexible enough to allow a
variety of constraints and can also be applied to conservative stochastic

We report on a high statistics quenched lattice QCD calculation of the
deep-inelastic structure functions , , and of the proton
and neutron. The theoretical basis for the calculation is the operator product
expansion. We consider the moments of the leading twist operators up to spin
four. Using Wilson fermions the calculation is done for three values of
, and we perform the extrapolation to the chiral limit. The

open3noThe study was funded by the University of Bologna and by the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC).The inhibition of the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway in the treatment of cancers has recently reached an exciting stage with several cell cycle checkpoint inhibitors that are now being tested in several clinical trials in cancer patients. Although the great amount of pre-clinical and clinical data are from the solid tumor experience, only few studies have been done on leukemias using specific cell cycle checkpoint inhibitors. This review aims to summarize the most recent data found on the biological mechanisms of the response to DNA damages highlighting the role of the different elements of the DDR pathway in normal and cancer cells and focusing on the main genetic alteration or aberrant gene expression that has been found on acute and chronic leukemias.
