This discipline is providing the professional community with increasing knowledge about learning processes, neuropsychological grounds and neurodevelopmental levels of each educational stage in order to prevent difficulties and develop abilities such as reading competence. Within this context, the following review aims to capture the diversity of existing neuropsychological-based reading and attention interventions in all the levels of school classrooms. The article offers multiple suggestions to improve the body of knowledge in this promising area of neuropsychology. In conclusion, the neuropsychological intervention focused on essential learning tools such as reading processes and attention processes, is pertinent and useful to improve learning achievement and to prevent difficulties and disorders.2017-1

Currently, the influence of product placement on film is very prominent. However, does product placement affect the minds of the audience? Many academics have related the effectiveness of this new form of public communication to the decisions of the exposed audience. The purpose of this research is to link the actual conceptualisation on this technique with the reality that faces the American brand Apple in the film industry. For this, an introduction of main items (product placement and cinema) will be completed through the theoretical development, to continue contextualising the Apple brand. All through a tour of its history, the relationship with the placement of the product and the brand as a lifestyle. Finally, to evaluate the participation of Apple in American cinema in a set period of years (2008-2017), to later analyze the impact of the placement of the product on the sales of the brand and the perceptive capacity presented.Universidad de Sevilla. The Use Of Technology In Higher Education. Pedagogical Orientations Within Education

    Get PDF
At the time of embarking on this examination of information and communication technologies in the higher education setting, a historical, pedagogical, psychological, sociological and educational approach was proposed. This served to join together a group of theories and ideas which enable the identification of both external and internal causes. This assists in understanding the increasingly rapid expansion of this prominent global phenomenon.  The first aim considered in the present study was to determine, via an initial diagnostic study, the use and frequency of use of technology in higher education. The second aim was linked with pedagogical orientations within education. The methodological design employed pertained to a descriptive study. More specifically, the study administered a questionnaire made up of Likert scales to a representative sample of university students enrolled on different courses. The population comprised students from the Education Sciences faculty at the University of Granada. The sample was formed by 350 students who responded to the questionnaire. Outcomes from the completed instruments reveal that a high proportion of young people spend a large proportion of their time using the internet, games consoles and mobile phones. Finally, it was indicated that it is necessary for a set of recommendations and pedagogical orientations to be compiled, designed and implemented to enable the correct management of technological resources

Factors Contributing to Mobile Phone Dependence Amongst Young People—Educational Implications

The use of mobile devices facilitates access to knowledge and is at the base of the education of the future. Although the digital society has contributed a number of benefits, it has also been associated with worrying behaviors. The study design consisted of a quantitative approach that was descriptive, inferential and ex post facto in nature. Its purpose was to better understand the opinion of young people regarding smartphone use and describe dependence deriving from regular use. The sample was formed of 420 students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Granada. Results indicate that mobile phone use has displaced use of other technologies such as the television and is associated with communication and recreational activities. In addition, a profile was identified for young people at greater risk of developing a dependence on their mobile devices. This profile constituted female smartphone users with recreational motives and individuals who exceeded mobile phone use by more than six hours a day. To improve the educational use of smartphones, prevention and intervention plans must be designed which ensure correct management of this device, taking advantage of the benefits they offer, while avoiding problems derived from inappropriate use
