Irreducible Lie-Yamaguti algebras

Lie-Yamaguti algebras (or generalized Lie triple systems) are binary-ternary algebras intimately related to reductive homogeneous spaces. The Lie-Yamaguti algebras which are irreducible as modules over their Lie inner derivation algebra are the algebraic counterpart of the isotropy irreducible homogeneous spaces. These systems will be shown to split into three disjoint types: adjoint type, non-simple type and generic type. The systems of the first two types will be classified and most of them will be shown to be related to a Generalized Tits Construction of Lie algebras.Comment: 25 page

A Simulated Annealing Method to Cover Dynamic Load Balancing in Grid Environment

High-performance scheduling is critical to the achievement of application performance on the computational grid. New scheduling algorithms are in demand for addressing new concerns arising in the grid environment. One of the main phases of scheduling on a grid is related to the load balancing problem therefore having a high-performance method to deal with the load balancing problem is essential to obtain a satisfactory high-performance scheduling. This paper presents SAGE, a new high-performance method to cover the dynamic load balancing problem by means of a simulated annealing algorithm. Even though this problem has been addressed with several different approaches only one of these methods is related with simulated annealing algorithm. Preliminary results show that SAGE not only makes it possible to find a good solution to the problem (effectiveness) but also in a reasonable amount of time (efficiency)

Ranking Alternatives on the Basis of the Intensity of Dominance and Fuzzy Logic within MAUT

We introduce dominance measuring methods to derive a ranking of alternatives to deal with incomplete information in multi-criteria decision making problems on the basis of Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). We consider the situation where the alternative performances are represented by uniformly distributed intervals, and there exists imprecision concerning the decision-makers¿ preferences, by means of classes of individual utility functions and imprecise weights represented by weight intervals or fuzzy weights, respectively. An additive multi-attribute utility model is used to evaluate the alternatives under consideration, which is considered a valid approach in most practical cases. The approaches we propose are based on the dominance values between pairs of alternatives that can be computed by linear programming, which are then transformed into dominance intensities from which a dominance intensity measure is derived. The methods proposed are compared with other existing dominance measuring methods and other methodologies by Monte Carlo simulation techniques. The performance is analyzed in terms of two measures of efficacy: hit ratio, the proportion of all cases in which the method selects the same best alternative as in the TRUE ranking, and the Rank-order correlation, which represents how similar the overall rank structures of alternatives are in the TRUE ranking and in the ranking derived from the method. Rethinking Ephemeral Architecture. Advanced Geometry for Citizen-Managed Spaces

In recent years there have been a high amount of citizen initiatives that address the complex problems of the contemporary city. There are empty or disused spaces that have been reused for urban gardens, for social use, to encourage integration and civic activities activation, etc. Traditional architectural processes do not provide realistic solutions to these initiatives that, along with limited financial resources, have led to the emergence of architectures and self-constructed facilities, almost as an emergency mode, without necessary planning, media and constructive knowledge. The democratization of technology, thanks to laboratories of digital production, combined with knowledge of the properties of different surfaces through the CAD-CAM tools, offers new opportunities for the development of a lightweight, flexible and low impact architecture, very according to the needs of citizens' initiatives that naturally arise in our cities. The new existing scenario contemplates the figure of the architect, or engineer, not only as an agent of the market, but as a professional able to propose efficient solutions to problems from within, bringing their specific knowledge and serving as bridges between the new technological solutions and the challenges of society

Il fenomeno della violenza domestica e della violenza di genere in Spagna: analisi di alcuni aspetti del suo trattamento processuale

Sia nell'ordinamento giuridico spagnolo sia, in generale, nel diritto comparato, può constatarsi, in materia di violenza di genere, l'esistenza di due posizioni molto differenziate. Mentre, da un lato, vi sono i sostenitori della c.d. victim choice, dall'altro lato si collocano coloro che ritengono meglio applicare le c.d. no–drop policies. Nell'ordinamento giuridico spagnolo è possibile verificare la sussistenza di manifestazioni di entrambe le tendenze, allo studio delle quali si dedica il presente lavoro. Nel medesimo, si sottolineano con particolare attenzione le difficoltà derivanti dalle frequenti ritrattazioni e molteplici rifiuti a deporre delle vittime di questo tipo di violenza.Tant dans le système juridique espagnol que, en général, dans le droit comparé, il existe, en matière de violences liées au genre, deux positions : d’un côté, certains sont partisans d’une approche dite victim choice, de l’autre quelques-uns préfèreraient appliquer celle appelée no–drop policies. Dans le système juridique espagnol, ces deux positions coexistent et cet article a comme objectif de les examiner. En outre, dans ce texte, l’auteur souligne tout particulièrement les difficultés dues aux nombreux refus de déposer plainte et aux rétractations fréquentes des victimes, fréquents dans le cadre de ce type de violence.Both in the Spanish legal system as, in general, in comparative law, there are two distinct approaches to gender violence. On the one hand, there are supporters of “victim choice”, on the other hand, an approach supporting the benefits of the implementation of no-drop policies might prevail. La formación en competencias del profesorado de Magisterio en la especialidad de Educación Física

La convergencia de las universidades españolas en un espacio común europeo supone cambios metodológicos y, por ello, es necesario realizar análisis de las competencias que adquierenlos alumnos en nuestras universidades. En este estudio, se analizan y se comparan las competencias profesionales que, según su propio juicio, deberían tener los estudiantes de primer y tercer curso de la titulación de Magisterio en la especialidad de Educación Física de la Universidad de Huelva, de acuerdo con lo que aparece en el libro blanco. Los resultados muestran un perfil «clásico» del docente con gran peso en competencias instrumentales, excesivamente centrado en su contexto próximo de trabajo y poco preocupado por el panorama cambiante de la educación.La convergència de les universitats espanyoles en un espai comú europeu comporta canvis metodològics i, per això, cal realitzar anàlisis de les competències que adquireixen els alumnes a les nostres universitats. En aquest estudi, s'hi analitzen i s'hi comparen les competències professionals que, segons el seu propi parer, haurien de tenir els estudiants de primer i tercer curs de la titulació de Magisteri en l'especialitat d'Educació Física de la Universitat de Huelva, d'acord amb el que apareix al llibre blanc. Els resultats mostren un perfil «clàssic» del docent amb un gran pes en competències instrumentals, excessivament centrat en el seu context proper de treball i poc preocupat pel panorama canviant de l'educació.The convergence of the Spanish Universities to a Space Common European supposes methodological changes and for it is necessary to carry out analysis of the competitions that the students acquire in our universities. In this study they are analyzed and the professional competitions are compared that should have, to the students of 1º trial and 3º course of Teaching's course in Physical Education of university of Huelva, with which you/they appear in the white book. The results show a «classic» profile of the educational one with great weight in instrumental competitions and excessively centered in their next context of work and not very concerned for the changing panorama of the education

La controvertida Ley Orgánica 4/2015 ha venido acompañada de polémica desde sus trabajos preparatorios. Si bien algunos aspectos de dicha Ley —conocida por algunos con el sobrenombre de «ley mordaza»— han sido objeto de exhaustivos análisis (así sucede, por ejemplo, con la afectación que supone respecto de los derechos de reunión y manifestación, así como en cuanto a la libertad de expresión), la cuestión de la retención policial en ella regulada ha merecido, por el contrario, escasa atención.
