Pedagogía y epistemología en el Teeteto de Platón

In the present article a study ofthe Teetetum is offered, putting our attention in the pedagogical and epistemological teachings that underlie inside the debates that sustains Plato with the brilliant mathematic youngster Teeteto: intellectual modesty, amazement, necessary timefor deepening, method (Mayeutic) and the difference between opinión (doxa) and science (episteme). Teachings that are valia today as they were yesterday, for all those who desired to ac^uire fundamental knowledge of any kind, and for the teachers that have taken conscience that the real teacher is not the one that transmits knowledge, but the one that helps his students to be the buüders and craftsmen of their own knowledge

THE DEBATE ABOUT WOMEN RIGHTS IN THE TIME OF ILUSTRATION

RESUMEN En el presente artículo ofrecemos una síntesis del debate que sobre los Derechos de la Mujer se desarrolló en la época de la ilustración, debate que si bien empezó a gestarse en el seno mismo de la Enciclopedia, tuvo su expresión en el pensamiento de varias mujeres ilustradas que empezaron a cuestionar la universalidad de una deelaración de derechos que incluía sólo a los hombres, dejando por fuera a más de la mitad de la humanidad, es decir a las mujeres. Atención especial merece Olympe de Gouges quíen redactó la primera Declaración Universal de Derechos de la Mujer, en donde no sólo se extienden a la mujer todos los derechos que ya habían sido concedidos a los hombres, sino que se pide la intervención de la ley no sólo para asegurar a todos, hombres y mujeres, la posIbilidad de gozar de igualdad de derechos, sino también para acabar con las diferencias de poderes, libertades y capacidades producidas por siglos de ignorancia, abnegación y sometimiento de las mujeres.  SUMMARY In this article we present a synthesis of the debate about Women's Rights developed during the Enlightment times, debate that although started to be conceived at the heart of the Encyclopedia, had its expression in the thought of several enlightened women who began to question the universality of a Rights Declaration which included only men, leaving out more than half of the humanity, that is women. Special attention is given to Olympe de Gouges who wrote the first Universal Declaration of Women's Rights where not only all the rights given to men are extended to women but also it is asked the participation of the law to make sure the possibility that men and women had the same rights and to finish the differences of powers, freedom and capacities resulting from centuries of ignorance, self-denial and submission of women

Análisis bibliométrico de Economía Azul / Bibliometric Analysis of Blue Economy

Poster del congreso VI ENCUENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE ESPECIALIZACIÓN PARA LA INVESTIGACIÓN EN ECONOMÍA Y EMPRESAThis is the first attempt at bibliometric analysis with SciMAT software from indexed article in the database Web of Science. It was conducted with general terms, only using the first original term Blue Economy. SciMat is a mapping analysis tool created to carry out mapping analysis in a longitudinal environment. Among other results, it is shown: Blue Economy is a new topic -first published as articles in 2002-. From each of the periods studied. (1) 2002-2017: the most important topics are two: 'Blue economy' and 'Economics'. (2) Secondly, between 2018-2019, the most representative words are: 'Carbon‑Economies', 'Fishing', and 'Oceans'. (3) Finally, in the last two years, 2020-2021 the most relevant cluster is the 'Blue Economy' itself. As limitations, ‘Blue-green economy' and 'Blue economy' maybe could be merged into one category or cluster, depending on whether considering or not the same definition.Universidad de Málaga. Global Tobacco Economics Consortium

A 50% increase in cigarette prices would lead to millions of life-years gained through smoking cessation, across the study countries (India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Vietnam, Armenia, China, Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Thailand, and Chile). About 15.5 million men would avoid catastrophic health expenditures and 8.8 million would avoid falling below the World Bank definition of extreme poverty. Despite differences in socioeconomic class and health finance arrangements, a 50% increase in tobacco prices strongly favours those in the bottom income group for life-years saved, out-of-pocket expenses from tobacco attributable treatment costs averted, and avoidance of catastrophic health expenditures or poverty

PROYECCIONES DE EPIDEMIA EN VENEZUELA POR CORONAVIRUS 2019 Y SUS PREPARATIVOS PARA EL 5 DE MARZO DE 2020

Es de suma atención para las autoridades sanitarias y la población a escala global el comportamiento de la epidemia de China y su propagación al resto del mundo, desde la declaración el pasado 30 de enero de 2020, de la Epidemia del Covid-2019 en China de preocupación internacional.  Para el momento de escribir este artículo el último informe de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), Situación del Coronavirus el 4 de marzo de 2020 a las 10 a.m., desprende los siguientes datos: A escala global el número de casos confirmados asciende a 93.090, con casos nuevos diarios 2.223 en China y en 76 países fuera de China. El ritmo diario es de 4 países, así, la velocidad de propagación internacional es alta, por lo tanto, de mantenerse esta candencia serán reportados al menos 150 países para el fin de este mes de marzo. En Venezuela para el 5 de marzo no ha habido caso confirmado por laboratorio clínico. El alto riesgo de epidemia cada vez está más cerca debido a la notificación de casos confirmados en países vecinos, así como, en las islas del mar Caribe. Además, porque muchos países vecinos con los que se tiene alta migración e intercambio comercial fronterizos ya reportan casos confirmados de Convid-2019, Brasil y Ecuador, y más reciente Argentina y Chile que se añaden a la lista el día de hoy en el reporte de OMS. En colaboración con el profesor Econ. Nelson Croce y de un grupo de estudiantes de Medicina de la Escuela Luis Razetti, de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, se hizo el ejercicio práctico estadístico para estimar el número de potenciales afectados en nuestro país y los recursos necesarios para su atención
