Markova Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education Abstract. The article addresses some information about psychological problems, emotional state, personal, behavioral and family-associated patterns in adolescents with atopic dermatitis, which served a basis for differentiation of targets and measures of psychological help. There were defined such targets of psychological interventions as follows: physical discomfort, self-perception of the appearance, poor therapy compliance, reduced mental activity, high levels of anxiety, depressive manifestations, disharmonious personal features, a destabilizing profile of coping strategies, distancing and avoidance strategies, problems in child-parent relationships, imbalanced marital relationships, affected self-acceptance, imbalanced in the internality-externality axis, high escapism. As psychological interventions there were used some techniques of Gestalt therapy, rational therapy, art therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychological training. Family therapy was an important component of psychological help for adolescents with atopic dermatitis.Key words: atopic dermatitis, adolescents, psychological help

The rotation rates of massive stars: How slow are the slow ones?

Context: Rotation plays a key role in the life cycles of stars with masses above 8 Msun. Hence, accurate knowledge of the rotation rates of such massive stars is critical for understanding their properties and for constraining models of their evolution. Aims: This paper investigates the reliability of current methods used to derive projected rotation speeds v sin i from line-broadening signatures in the photospheric spectra of massive stars, focusing on stars that are not rapidly rotating. Methods: We use slowly rotating magnetic O-stars with well-determined rotation periods to test the Fourier transform (FT) and goodness-of-fit (GOF) methods typically used to infer projected rotation rates of massive stars. Results: For our two magnetic test stars with measured rotation periods longer than one year, i.e., with v sin i < 1 km/s, we derive v sin i ~ 40-50 km/s from both the FT and GOF methods. These severe overestimates are most likely caused by an insufficient treatment of the competing broadening mechanisms referred to as microturbulence and macroturbulence. Conclusions: These findings warn us not to rely uncritically on results from current standard techniques to derive projected rotation speeds of massive stars in the presence of significant additional line broadening, at least when v sin i <~ 50 km/s. This may, for example, be crucial for i) determining the statistical distribution of observed rotation rates of massive stars, ii) interpreting the evolutionary status and spin-down histories of rotationally braked B-supergiants, and iii) explaining the deficiency of observed O-stars with spectroscopically inferred v sin i ~ 0 km/s. Further investigations of potential shortcomings of the above techniques are presently under way.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in A&A Letter

The author is engaged in a comprehensive, comparative study of the administrative procedure in Ukraine. In our country, there is no mechanism for the functioning of this institution for a number of objective and subjective reasons, which complicates the study. In this regard, the author refers to the doctrinal legislative and historical experience of such countries as the USA and European countries (Germany, France), since these countries have a fundamental and centuries-old history of the process of formation, development and modernization of the administrative procedure at different historical stages. The history creates law. The purpose of the work is to review the evolution of the administrative procedure and identify key historical and political events that triggered the mechanism of the administrative procedure in the above countries. The result of historical and legal research are the doctrinal concepts of scientists, which influenced the further formation and development of the administrative procedure. During the study, the author received unique knowledge that will be helpful not only in expanding the horizons of scientific knowledge, but also applying them during the writing a doctoral dissertation, which will be the first research work of this level in Ukraine

The article substantiates the necessity to develop methods of computer simulation of neural networks in the spreadsheet environment. The systematic review of their application to simulating artificial neural networks is performed. The authors distinguish basic approaches to solving the problem of network computer simulation training in the spreadsheet environment, joint application of spreadsheets and tools of neural network simulation, application of third-party add-ins to spreadsheets, development of macros using the embedded languages of spreadsheets; use of standard spreadsheet add-ins for non-linear optimization, creation of neural networks in the spreadsheet environment without add-ins and macros. It is shown that to acquire neural simulation competences in the spreadsheet environment, one should master the models based on the historical and genetic approach. The article considers ways of building neural network models in cloud-based spreadsheets, Google Sheets. The model is based on the problem of classifying multidimensional data provided in “The Use of Multiple Measurements in Taxonomic Problems” by R. A. Fisher. Edgar Anderson’s role in collecting and preparing the data in the 1920s–1930s is discussed as well as some peculiarities of data selection.
