Cilj. Aim. In this study we presented our experience with peripherally inserted central venous catheter (PICC) in patients with hematological malignancies. Methods. In the period from 2009 to 2012, a total of 105 PICCs were inserted in 90 patients. Patients with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma treated with DA-EPOCH comprised almost 40% of the cohort. Results. The total PICC in-dwell time was 14781 days with a median of 129 days (range 8–570 days). Malposition of the PICC occurred in 12 patients (11.4%) with a successful reposition or re-insertion. In 39 patients (37%) PICC was removed before the end of treatment due to suspected or proven infection (30 patients, 29%; 2.03 per 1000 PICC days), thrombosis associated with PICC in four patients (3.8%), occlusion of the PICC (two patients), misplaced catheter (two patients), and suspected thromboembolism in a single patient. Conclusion. PICC is a safe and convenient long-term venous access in patients with hematological malignancies

Diseases that occur greatly affect human life, but not only him but also the overall functioning of the state in which he lives. The economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 corona virus is unique in economic history so far in terms of the manner and speed of its occurrence, global coverage and consequences. No economic crisis so far has occurred so quickly with a deep decline in economic activity and has not affected the whole world at the same time. The corona crisis and lockdown we had during the spring of 2020 made us aware of all the weaknesses of Croatian agriculture and food production. The crisis has raised the issue of low levels of selfsufficiency in almost all industries. In Croatia, the reduction in consumption and corporate activity has led to a sharp drop in GDP, which is why the Government has taken a number of measures since the beginning of the epidemic to preserve jobs, corporate liquidity and macroeconomic stability. The Government of the Republic of Croatia has prepared a National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the period 2021-2026, the aim of which is to recover all those activities affected by this crisis. Recover, improve, but also remove all the shortcomings that have plagued our agriculture, health, education system, etc. The aim of the research is to present the role and significance of pandemics in society from a theoretical point of view and to identify the consequences that disease occurrences can cause through history, present and future, reflecting on the economy. During the research, attention was focused on the use of the latest available data in order to process the topic of the thesis as credibly and qualitatively as possible. The method of synthesis and description was applied during the interpretation of the obtained results as well as the formation of conclusions

Sheep farming is a branch of cattle breeding which gradually increases its size in the Republic of Croatia and brings with it significant and valuable by-products that are of course utilized, and one of these is sheep's wool. The title "Development of innovative products as a tool to revitalize the sheep breeding sector" clearly points to the fact that the places for innovation in agriculture certainly have. The core of business is the business plan for the purchase and processing of sheep wool in thermal insulation, which solves a significant environmental problem, while on the other hand stimulates agricultural production. Wool is a raw material that has many positive properties and a wide range of products that can be obtained from it.A fully developed business plan clearly defines the mission and vision of the business, a detailed description of the technological process and the marketing and financial plan. It is an indispensable part of SWOT analysis where the strengths and weaknesses of the entrepreneurial project are presented. Projections for the first five years of operations are included, including sensitivity analysis that confirms the project is profitable
