This article deals with the status of discourse markers, according to different approaches of discourse. In a first moment, we will discuss the distinction between discourse markers and other linguistic forms, often taken as non-discursive. Different proposals, concerning categories and functions of linguistic markers, will then be analysed. Focusing on socio-discursive interactionism theoretical framework, in the third moment we develop the notion of types of discourse, thus providing evidence for different discursive uses, even within the discourse markers’ class. Concluding remarks will point out the convenience of moving from a logical and grammatical point of view to a rhetorical and hermeneutic approach.publishersversionpublishe
Faria sentido, no contexto destes
artigos..
alguns comentários
UID/LIN/03213/2013In this paper I will be dealing with a previous work (Coutinho, 1997), also focusing on the relationship between text and representation. After discussing some of the epistemological and theoretical points of view then assumed, I will emphasize texts as ‘(macro)signs’ through which the so-called reality is continuously (re)shaped and commented. By analyzing a few comments online available, the textual status of comments will be discussed: to comment (as a goal) or a comment (as textual genre)?publishersversionpublishe
Para um modelo didático do conto policial
In order to contribute for the training of teachers on the issue of teaching textual genres, this article focuses on the conception of a didactic model of the genre detective short stories adapted to the process of learning the Portuguese language in Brazil and in Portugal. The proposal is based both on the theoretical reflection on this genre, in the fields of Textual Linguistics and Literature, and on the linguistic analysis of the text that it adopts (“The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet”, in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle). The analysis focuses on the most relevant aspects that characterize the textual genre, according to its social functioning, which include the interaction, among thematic, organizational and enunciative aspects. The deriving didactic model of genre based on the above referred aspects (henceforward referred to as MD) will neither neglect the identification of what can be taught in higher education (3rd and 4th Ciclos, in the case of Brazil, and 2nd and 3rd Ciclos, in the case of Portugal) nor the question of the progression in learning. We will emphasise the theoretical and methodological framework of Sociodiscursive Interactionism (henceforth referred to as ISD), in particular the textual architecture model proposed by Bronckart (1999) and the MD, developed by the groups GRAFE and ALTER (with special reference to Dolz and Schneuwly 1996, 1997, 1999; Schneuwly et al., 2004; De Pietro et al., 1996; Machado and Cristóvão, 2006; Machado, 2009).
