LINK RATE AUTO NEGOTIATION BETWEEN ECPRI IWFS IN 5G/LTE-A FRONTHAUL/XHAUL PACKET NETWORK

    Get PDF
The enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI) specification presents a probabilistic method for link rate negotiation in an eCPRI and Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) interworking scenario which gets further complicated and more time consuming due to presence of two interim CPRI links and one fronthaul network path, generally resulting in multiple iterations of CPRI negotiations in the interim links. To address these types of challenges techniques are presented herein that support, among other things, bringing the eCPRI link rate negotiation on par with the rate negotiation which is employed in a direct point-to-point connected CPRI link so that, among other things, the multiple iterations may be reduced or eliminated. That is, a Radio Equipment Controller (REC) and the Radio Equipment (RE) start the link rate negotiation at the same time or the REC\u27s transmit (Tx) cycle and RE\u27s receive (Rx) cycles are phase aligned and start at the same time (similar to the direct point-to-point CPRI link)

While enabling oneself eligible for deduction from the partial or total tax liabilities, choosing the best investment is one of the most important decisions a taxpayer in India can make. One of the alternative investment avenues, tax saving bonds in India is considered as an option to serve any investor with two purpose

TECHNIQUES TO ENABLE TIME OF DAY LOADING IN PLUGGABLE OPTICS BASED ON OBTAINING A 1PPS SIGNAL UTILIZING A REPURPOSED PIN FOR AN OPTICAL CONNECTOR

    Get PDF
Obtaining a 1 Pulse Per Second (1PPS) signal is essential for delivering latency and jitter sensitive applications over a packet network through pluggable optics based on a disaggregated solution that may be applicable to service provider (SP) routing and/or server products for various applications. Techniques are presented herein that enable a 1PPS signal to be provided from a network router to an enhanced Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP+) device by re-purposing an existing pin of an SFP+ connector for the SFP+ device

Brief Announcement: On Secure m-Party Computation, Commuting Permutation Systems and Unassisted Non-Interactive MPC

A fundamental problem in the theory of secure multi-party computation (MPC) is to characterize functions with more than 2 parties which admit MPC protocols with information-theoretic security against passive corruption. This question has seen little progress since the work of Chor and Ishai (2001), which demonstrated difficulties in resolving it. In this work, we make significant progress towards resolving this question in the important case of aggregating functionalities, in which m parties P1,...,Pm hold inputs x1,...,xm and an aggregating party P0 must learn f(x1,...,xm). We give a necessary condition and a slightly stronger sufficient condition for f to admit a secure protocol. Both the conditions are stated in terms of an algebraic structure we introduce called Commuting Permutations Systems (CPS), which may be of independent combinatorial interest. When our sufficiency condition is met, we obtain a perfectly secure protocol with minimal interaction, that fits the model of Non-Interactive MPC or NIMPC (Beimel et al., 2014), but without the need for a trusted party to generate correlated randomness. We define Unassisted Non-Interactive MPC (UNIMPC) to capture this variant. We also present an NIMPC protocol for all functionalities, which is simpler and more efficient than the one given in the prior work

Modelling an above knee prosthesis-a kinematics approach

    Get PDF
An attempt has been made to mathematically model a totally mechanical passive type pneumatic damper controlled AK prosthesis for swing control. An Alimco, India made AK prosthesis was taken and was upgraded to a pneumatic damper controlled one. A CAD model of the same was made on ProE software and moment of inertia was found and the data were used for calculating the swing time using kinematics model approach. The prosthesis coupled with an electronic interface was experimented to find the swing time. The experimental results matched the theoretical ones within acceptable limits and it is concluded that kinematics model approach as given by the authors is an effective tool to design passive AK prosthesis and the model can also be used for designing active knee

Cubic B-spline collocation method for coupled system of ordinary differential equations with various boundary conditions

    Get PDF
This paper is concerned with collocation approach using cubic B-spline to solve coupled system of boundary value problems with various boundary conditions. The collocation equations are methodically derived using cubic B splines, for problems with Dirichlet data and an iterative method with assured convergence is described to solve the resulting system of algebraic equations. Problems with Cauchy or mixed boundary condition have been converted into series of Dirichlet problems using the bisection method. Nonlinear problem is linearized using quasilinearization to be handled by our method. Fourth order equation is converted into a coupled second order equations and solved by the proposed method . Several illustrative examples are presented with their error norms and order of convergence.Publisher's Versio

Cardiovascular and biochemical studies on the effects of thrombin and dabigatran and the interaction with vasopressor molecules

    Get PDF
Background: The effect of serine protease thrombin and its directly acting inhibitor dabigatran were evaluated on the heart rate, blood pressure, and phospholipase C (PLC) enzyme activity and the intracellular calcium levels in the platelets. Methods: Heart rate and blood pressure were estimated using electrophysiology equipment. Results: While thrombin was unable to significantly affect the heart rate and blood pressure, the inhibitor dabigatran was able to reduce the heart rate appreciably but its effects on the blood pressure were minimal. The thrombin induced increase in PLC enzyme activity, and intracellular calcium levels were attenuated by dabigatran in the platelets. The posterior pituitary hormone, vasopressin, and the adrenergic agonist noradrenaline were used to stimulate the PLC and calcium levels in platelets. Conclusion: The thrombin inhibitor, dabigatran reduces vascular oxidative stress and inflammation, improves endothelial function, and decreases atherosclerosis in rodents

Evaluation of the effect of metformin on the inhibitory effect of oxytocin on potassium chloride stimulated goat ileum

    Get PDF
The posterior pituitary hormone, oxytocin is expressed in the myenteric and submucous ganglia and nerve fibers along the entire human gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The role for oxytocin in the physiology and pathophysiology of the bowel remains to be clearly elucidated. Many studies have described that oxytocin exerts stimulatory or inhibitory effects on gut functions. Recently, mRNA for oxytocin and its receptor was found throughout the entire human GI tract. In this study, we examined the responses of the posterior pituitary hormone, oxytocin on the contractile responses to KCl and the effect of metformin on these responses as it affects the glucose transport and causes monoamine release in the gut

Maintaining Approximate Maximum Weighted Matching in Fully Dynamic Graphs

    Get PDF
We present a fully dynamic algorithm for maintaining approximate maximum weight matching in general weighted graphs. The algorithm maintains a matching M{\cal M} whose weight is at least 1/8M1/8 M^{*} where MM^{*} is the weight of the maximum weight matching. The algorithm achieves an expected amortized O(lognlogC)O(\log n \log \mathcal C) time per edge insertion or deletion, where C\mathcal C is the ratio of the weights of the highest weight edge to the smallest weight edge in the given graph. Using a simple randomized scaling technique, we are able to obtain a matching whith expected approximation ratio 4.9108
