La filosofía de Schopenhauer da pie a considerar al infinito fuera del ámbito meramente especulativo y en las implicaciones de este concepto en la vida. Con este concepto, la voluntad humana pierde su medida y confunde a la individualidad desmedidamente acrecentada con la totalidad. Desde un punto de vista contrario, el ascetismo, la posibilidad del vacío, desgarra a la individualidad en pos de la unidad con la totalidad. The influence of crack-imbalance orientation and orbital evolution for an extended cracked Jeffcott rotor

Vibration peaks occurring at rational fractions of the fundamental rotating critical speed, here named Local Resonances, facilitate cracked shaft detection during machine shut-down. A modified Jeffcott-rotor on journal bearings accounting for gravity effects and oscillating around nontrivial equilibrium points is employed. Modal parameter selection allows this linear model to represent first mode characteristics of real machines. Orbit evolution and vibration patterns are analyzed, yielding useful results. Crack detection results indicate that, instead of 1x and 2x components, analysis of the remaining local resonances should have priority; this is due to crack-residual imbalance interaction and to 2x multiple induced origins. Therefore, local resonances and orbital evolution around 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 of the critical speed are emphasized for various crack-imbalance orientations

Complejo de Titanio derivados de Ligantes 3-(4´-R-Fenil)-3-Hidroxi-2Propenditiato de Metilo

Se sintetizaron los ligantes 3-(4’-R-fenil)-3-hidroxi-2-propenditioato de metilo [R = H(1), MeO(2), Me(3), Cl(4) y Br(5)], realizando ciertas modificaciones a lo informado en la literatura. Se caracterizaron por IR, RMN de 1H y 13C, así como Análisis Elemental. Se obtuvieron cristales adecuados de 1, 2, 4 y 5 para su estudio por Difracción de Rayos X. A partir del análisis de las distancias de enlace se puede concluir la deslocalización electrónica del fragmento S1C1C2C3O1, además de la presencia de un puente de hidrogeno intramolecular. Se sintetizaron cinco complejos LRTiCpCl [(R = H(6), MeO(7), Me(8), Cl(9) y Br(10)], a partir de reacción de la sal del ligante y CpTiCl3. Los complejos 6-10 se obtuvieron como sólidos de color amarillo oscuro que se caracterizaron por IR, RMN de 1H y 13C y Análisis Elemental. Se obtuvieron cristales rojos de la evaporación lenta de una solución concentrada de los compuestos 6-10 en CH2Cl2, que fueron estudiados de Difracción de Rayos X. En todos los casos se observa una molécula con geometría de pirámide de base cuadrada, con el átomo de titanio en el centro de la pirámide, el anillo Cp en posición apical, en la base se encuentran dos átomos de cloro y el ligante coordinado por los átomos de O y S, formando un quelato de seis miembros

Sistema automático para la producción de humus

Investigación TecnológicaSe implementa un sistema de automatización de tipo on off para supervisión de las variables de temperatura y humedad que se encuentran en un prototipo para la producción de humus. Con base en la información recibida de los sensores se realiza la activación o desactivación de una motobomba. The 19 kDa Mycobacterium tuberculosis

We describe the association of caspase-dependent and caspase-independent mechanisms in macrophage apoptosis induced by LpqH, a 19 kDa Mycobacterium tuberculosis lipoprotein. LpqH triggered TLR2 activation, with upregulation of death receptors and ligands, which was followed by a death receptor signaling cascade with activation of initiator caspase 8 and executioner caspase 3. In this caspase-mediated phase, mitochondrial factors were involved in loss of mitochondrial transmembrane potential (ΔΨm), release of cytochrome c, and caspase 9 activation. Interestingly, a caspase-independent pathway was also identified; by immunoblot, the mitochondrial apoptosis inducing factor (AIF) was demonstrated in nuclei and cytosol of LpqH-treated macrophages. Confocal microscopy revealed translocation of AIF to the nuclei of the majority of apoptotic cells. These findings emphasize the complex and redundant nature of the macrophage death response to mycobacteria

Experimental realisation of an AC-link shunt-series power flow controller

They can provide a series of network services such as active and reactive power control, voltage regulation and harmonic and imbalance compensation that facilitate the integration of these new resources. Despite dc links are usually proposed for this purpose, it is also possible to interconnect radial distribution feeders by means of ac links with direct ac/ac power conversion. This study presents the experimental validation of a current control loop based on feedback linearisation for an ac-link shunt-series power flow controller based on a vector switching matrix converter. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control in both steady-state and transient conditions
