Though the people of Neithal are engaged in a difficult occupation like fishing, they have given more importance to sports. That's why they discovered something called entertainment and turned it into a game and started playing it. Sports are not only a means of ensuring physical well-being but are also a great tool for mental happiness and socializing Men, women, and children played this game in a variety of ways. The counting game is where girls used to count boats, lanterns, etc. from home. In the case of amulet dancing, too, the women, both of whom played by rolling the amulets on the beach sand. In the water game, both men and women played for the sake of competition and entertainment with water as a field. In the case of dice playing, too, the women, both of whom played by rolling the dice on the beach sand. In the water game, both men and women played for the sake of competition and entertainment with water as a field. In the swing play, they made a board with the horns of sharks and tied the paper on either side with the falls and played the swing. In playing with crabs, women hold and swing the crabs called alavan in their hands. Animal fighting is a sport in which men compete with goats, goats against goats, roosters against roosters, and play the bet. In the game of dolls, women make dolls with raw ore and play with them as if they are their children. In the “Orai” game, the girls would run on the beach sand wearing sounding anklets and play. In the silt game, big flowers are plucked and played in the fields and in the sand. Sand play is a game of building small houses on the sands of the beach

INTRODUCTION: Portal Hypertension causes Gastrointestinal Bleeding. It is most frequently due to Gastro Esophageal varices (65-70%) and isolated Gastric varices (10-15%). Endoscopic therapy is the only treatment modality that is widely accepted for the prevention of variceal bleeding, control of acute variceal bleeding, and prevention of variceal rebleeding. Endoscopic Variceal therapy includes Variceal Sclerotherapy and Variceal Band Ligation. The technique involves injection of a sclerosant into (intravariceal) or adjacent to (paravariceal) a varix. Some paravariceal injection usually takes place during attempted intravariceal therapy. The sclerosants used include sodium tetradecyl sulfate, sodium morrhuate, ethanolamine oleate, and absolute alcohol. AIM OF THE STUDY: To study the Esophageal Motility changes following Endoscopic Variceal Band Ligation or Sclerotherapy using High resolution Manometry. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Study Design : Prospective study. Total no. of subjects : 20. Patients who were diagnosed to have portal hypertension who were referred to the department of Gastroenterology at Madras Medical College Hospital were included in this study. The diagnosis of portal hypertension and its etiology was established by Clinical Biochemical Imaging and Histology if needed An informed consent was obtained from these patients, A baseline Esophageal Manometry is done for these patients using High Resolution Manometry Depending on the clinical situations these patients were subjected to Endoscopic Variceal Sclerotherapy and or Variceal Band Ligation. CONCLUSION: Endosocpic Sclerotherapy and Endoscopic Variceal Band Ligation causes Dysmotility. Dysmotility can occur a late complication due to persistent chronic inflammatory changes. High Resolution Manometry is a Novel method to identify focal segmental changes in motility following Endoscopic Sclerotherapy and Endoscopic Variceal Band Ligation. In this study there was manometric changes in the form of decreased amplitude and velocity of contraction in the Lower Esophagus. The motility changes were more commonly found in the Endoscopic sclerotherapy group. Though in our study the two groups were not comparable in Number. The number of sessions did not correlate with the Endoscopic Sclerotherapy group but in a group of patient who underwent both therapy they developed motility changes after third session. In this study there were no abnormal waves and Non peristaltic waves, no prolongation of duration of peristaltic waves. None of these patients had any symptoms. Endoscopic variceal sclerotherapy causes Esophageal motility changes six months after therapy. There was no motility changes following Endoscopic Variceal Band Ligation alone was used. These changes do not causes any dysmotility symptoms in patients

Small scale industries has been considered as device of economic growth and development in many developing countries and this constitute the backbone of an economy in maintaining a significant growth and in generating employment opportunities. The Government of India declared that ` 500 and ` 1000 notes will be no longer legal tender from midnight, 8th November 2016. This move is expected to cleanse the formal economic system, discard black money and counterfeit notes. The small business units who largely depend on Cash related transaction on daily basis witnessed more disturbances. Therefore an attempt has been made to identify the problems faced by the small business units and give suggestions to improve the working of small business units which were affected by demonetization in Coimbatore city. The study revealed that most of the respondents were unhappy about the implementation of demonetization because they faced loss due to cash crunch and had a great impact on their small business activities and their standard of living

Efficacy of transverse cerebellar diameter/abdominal circumference ratio: a gestational age independent parameter in assessing fetal growth restriction

Background: It is important to identify fetal growth restriction (FGR) antenatally because it is associated with increased perinatal morbidity and mortality. There is difficulty in diagnosis of fetal growth restriction using standard ultrasonographic parameters as they are gestational age related and are not reliable in cases of symmetrical growth restriction. Therefore, there is a need for gestational age independent biometric parameter, which can diagnose fetal growth restriction in unknown gestational age and can diagnose both symmetric and asymmetric fetal growth restriction. In this study transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD)/abdominal circumference (AC) ratio used to diagnose fetal growth restriction. Objectives of the study were to evaluate the validity of TCD/AC ratio in diagnosing fetal growth restriction and to find out the cut-off value of TCD/AC ratio for diagnosis of fetal growth restriction. Methods: This study was carried out for 12 months and sample size was 100. Transverse cerebellar diameter, abdominal circumference measured between 20-22wks and 32-34weeks of gestation and transverse cerebellar diameter and abdominal circumference ratio calculated. Results: TCD/AC ratio was fairly constant throughout the pregnancy. Fetuses with TCD/AC ratio more than 2SD of the mean were found growth restricted on examination. The TCD/AC ratio more accurate in diagnosing fetal growth restriction (FGR).Conclusions: As the TCD/AC ratio is constant, it is a gestational age - independent parameter, can diagnose FGR in antenatal women with unknown gestational age. Hence, TCD/AC ratio can be a screening test to diagnose FGR in the antenatal period

The ever-increasing need for power in today\u27s environment calls for a secure and effective energy supply network. Distributed renewable options such as Diesel Generator (DG), wind turbine (WT) and photovoltaic (PV) solar energy may be integrated inside a micro grid (MG) to supply electricity to customers in a sensible manner. In order to provide a more efficient and affordable source of electricity, the battery storage device is built into the micro grid. This article identifies the cost-based approach to calculate the optimum size of the Battery energy storage (BES) for MG operations. Some constraints, i.e., the power output of the Distributed Generators (DGs), the power and energy capacity of BES, the charging/discharge performance of BES, the working reserve and the fulfilment of the load requirement, should also be considered. In this article the Spider Monkey (SM) algorithm is a modern evolutionary technology that is used to build correction policies and to execute less costly dispatch. Four different cases have been studied. The results are compared with recently developed Fire Fly (FF) algorithm to corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm has low power loss and the operating cost of the proposed SM technique is 0.0129% less than existing FF algorithm based micro-grid system. Here, IEEE 33 bus system performed to prove the effectiveness of the proposed SM algorithm over the FF algorithm

In most soils, soil and fertilizer Phosphorus (P) are easily bound by either soil organic matter or chemicals and thus are unavailable to plants unless hydrolyzed to release inorganic phosphate. Therefore, the development of P-efficient rice varieties that can grow and yield better with low P supply is a key to improve crop production. P efficient plants play a major role in increasing crop yields due to shortage of inorganic P fertilizer resources, limited land and water resources and increasing environmental concerns. Based on the P uptake efficiency, four rice genotypes viz.,TNRH 180, CB08504, CB06732 and ADT 47 were selected from the field experiment and used in pot culture experiment with three levels of P using radio isotope technique to quantify the P acquisition efficiency (PAE) and P use efficiency (PUE) and also to determine the native P supplying power of the soils using 32P in low P soils. Growth and yield parameters, grain and straw yield and major nutrients uptake of rice genotypes were increased with enhanced level of phosphorus application. Among the four genotypes, TNRH 180 recorded the highest grain yield and uptake. Increasing the P application rate from 25 to 50 kg P2O5 ha-1 increased the %Pdff in grain and straw for all the genotypes. The mean per cent phosphorus utilization (PPU) ranged between 18.74 and 23.72. The PPU of the genotypes followed the order TNRH 180 (23.72 %) > CB08504 (23.36 %) > CB06732 (20.54%) > ADT 47 (18.74%). The PPU values were higher at lower level of P application (25 kg P2O5 ha-1) for the genotypes TNRH 180, CB08504 and CB06732. From this study showed that rice genotypes have the ability to utilize the both available and unavailable form of phosphorus by secreting some organic acids in the root portion to solubilize. Hence rice genotypes indicated above have the ability to increase phosphorus utilization efficiency
