Estimation of composition of cosmic rays with E sub zero approximately equals 10(17) - 10(18) eV
Fluctuations of the shower maximum depth obtained from analysis of electron and muon fluctuations and the extensive air showers (EAS) Cerenkov light on the Yakutsk array data and data of other arrays are considered. On the basis of these the estimation of composition of primaries with E sub 0 = 5.10 to the 17th power eV is received. Estimation of gamma-quanta flux with E sub 0 10 to the 17th power eV is given on the poor-muon showers
The maximum depth of shower with E sub 0 larger than 10(17) eV on average characteristics of EAS different components
The extensive air shower (EAS) development model independent method of the determination of a maximum depth of shower (X sub m) is considered. X sub m values obtained on various EAS parameters are in a good agreement
The Bulk Motion of Flat Edge-On Galaxies Based on 2MASS Photometry
We report the results of applying the 2MASS Tully-Fisher (TF) relations to
study the galaxy bulk flows. For 1141 all-sky distributed flat RFGC galaxies we
construct J, H, K_s TF relations and find that Kron magnitudes show
the smallest dispersion on the TF diagram. For the sample of 971 RFGC galaxies
with V_{3K} < 18000 km/s we find a dispersion and an
amplitude of bulk flow V= 199 +/-61 km/s, directed towards l=301 degr +/-18
degr, b=-2 degr +/-15 degr. Our determination of low-amplitude coherent flow is
in good agreement with a set of recent data derived from EFAR, PSCz, SCI/SCII
samples. The resultant two- dimensional smoothed peculiar velocity field traces
well the large-scale density variations in the galaxy distributions. The
regions of large positive peculiar velocities lie in the direction of the Great
Attractor and Shapley concentration. A significant negative peculiar velocity
is seen in the direction of Bootes and in the direction of the Local void. A
small positive peculiar velocity (100 -- 150 km/s) is seen towards the
Pisces-Perseus supercluster, as well as the Hercules - Coma - Corona Borealis

Correlated and zonal errors of global astrometric missions: a spherical harmonic solution
We propose a computer-efficient and accurate method of estimation of
spatially correlated errors in astrometric positions, parallaxes and proper
motions obtained by space and ground-based astrometry missions. In our method,
the simulated observational equations are set up and solved for the
coefficients of scalar and vector spherical harmonics representing the output
errors, rather than for individual objects in the output catalog. Both
accidental and systematic correlated errors of astrometric parameters can be
accurately estimated. The method is demonstrated on the example of the JMAPS
mission, but can be used for other projects of space astrometry, such as SIM or

Effect of frictional treatment on the microstructure and surface properties of low-carbon steel
The microstructure of annealed low-carbon (0.17 wt% C) steel subjected to frictional treatment with a sliding hard-alloy indenter is studied by EBSD analysis, as well as its micromechanical characteristics. It has been found that frictional treatment results in high dispersity of the structure in the steel surface, down to the submicro- and nanocrystalline state. Instrumented microindentation has revealed that, under all the loads, the values of the contact elastic modulus E ∗ of low-carbon (0.17 wt% C) steel after frictional treatment are lower than those in the initial annealed state. Particularly, the mean value of E ∗ decreases from 208 to 168 GPa under a load of 1 gf on the indenter, from 213 to 176 GPa under a load of 25 gf and from 204 to 155 GPa under a load of 200 gf. It is for the first time that the effect of a decrease in the elastic modulus is observed for a carbon steel subjected to frictional treatment. It also follows from the microindentation data that frictional treatment increases the capability of the surface of annealed low-carbon (0.17 wt% C) steel to withstand higher contact loads prior to plastic deformation. © 2018 Author(s)
Exact Multifractal Spectra for Arbitrary Laplacian Random Walks
Iterated conformal mappings are used to obtain exact multifractal spectra of
the harmonic measure for arbitrary Laplacian random walks in two dimensions.
Separate spectra are found to describe scaling of the growth measure in time,
of the measure near the growth tip, and of the measure away from the growth
tip. The spectra away from the tip coincide with those of conformally invariant
equilibrium systems with arbitrary central charge , with related
to the particular walk chosen, while the scaling in time and near the tip

Impact of landed property transformation on reproductive process in the agrarian process of regions
The article presents the results on land ownership transformation and its impact on the reproductive process in the agricultural sector of the Volga Region Federal District in conditions of the existing model.
The analysis of the consequences of the land reform, of which 115,4 million hectares of agricultural lands were transferred into common share ownership in the form of land shares without defining the boundaries on the ground, was carried out.
Availability of land shares which are not transformed into the land, fouls up and causes chaos and uncertainty in land relations, leading to the criminalization of the land market, speculative land transactions, hinders the development of the land turnover.
The position of the Volga Region Federal District and its individual regions in regard to the national indexes that characterize agricultural production, factors of reproduction, is established.
The conclusion concerning the low level of production profitability is made, and it hampers the extended reproduction and, consequently, the high demand for land for agricultural purposes in the future.peer-reviewe
