    Pendekatan pembelajaran sangat mempengaruhi tinggi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Di kelas IV SDN 1 Tinggolobibi, banyak siswa yang hasil belajar pada mata pelajran IPS masih belum memuaskan. Maka perlu penggunaan suatu media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar yang salah satunya adalah dengan penggunaan media gambar dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan membantu siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Tongolobibi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, yang terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi hasil belajar siswa yang diambil dari pemberian soal tes pada akhir siklus, kemampuan guru dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran yang diambil dari lembar observasi kegiatan guru, aktivitas siswa yang diambil dari lembar observasi kegiatan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tindakan siklus I terdapat 10 orang siswa yang tuntas secara individu dari 15 siswa sehingga presentase ketuntasan klasikal 66,66% dan daya serap klasikal sebesar 72,08% sedangkan hasil observasi siswa 66,66% dan observasi guru 84,09%. Pada tindakan siklus II terdapat 14 siswa yang tuntas secara invidu sehingga presentase ketuntasan klasikal 93,33% dan daya serap klasikal 79,58% sedangkan hasil observasi siswa 91,66% dan hasil observasi guru 93,18% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hal ini berarti pembelajaran pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan daya serap klasikal minimal 70% dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal minimal 80%. Berdasarkan daya serap klasikal dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada kegiatan pembelajaran siklus II, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbaikan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media gambar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV SDN 1 Tonggolobibi

    This study aimed to reveal the difference of the basic ability of scientific work development between students who are teached using discovery learning and conventional learning. This study used quasy experiment with The Non Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design. The subyek which are 58 VIII grade students in one of junior high school in Palu City are chosen with simple random sampling. Data were collected by observation sheets (check list) and were analyzed by normality, homogenity, and t-test using IBM SPSS Statistic 22 program. The result shows that the significance of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.00 < 0.005, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 was accepted. In addition, the data of the basic ability of scientific work development showed that the value for students teached by the discovery learning model is 58.28% and students teached by the conventional learning model is 47.13%, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference on the basic ability of scientific work development between students who are teached using discovery learning and conventional learning in the material of sight and optical devices

    Protein Digestibility, Nitrogen Retention, and Meat Protein Mass of Broiler Chickens Fed on Mulberry Leaves Fermented with Rumen Liquid

    The aim of the experiment was to determine the optimal levels in the utilization of mulberry leaves fermented with rumen liquid as well as unfermented mulberry leaves, based on its effects on protein digestibility, nitrogen retention, and protein mass of broiler chickens. One hundred CP 707 day old chicks, unsex, were randomly assigned to receive one of five treatments diets were T0 (basal diet), T1 (10% unfermented mulberry leaf), T2 (10% fermented mulberry leaf), T3 (20% unfermented mulberry leaf), and T4 (20% fermented mulberry leaf). Replication for each treatment was four so that the total experimental unit was 20 and each experimental unit consisted of five chickens. The results showed that the administration of 10% mulberry leaves increased the digestibility of protein fermentation, but had no effects on nitrogen retention and protein mass of meat

    Pengaruh In Ovo Feeding L-Arginine terhadap Konsumsi Pakan, Pertambahan Berat Badan, dan Konversi Pakan Ayam Kampung

    Ayam kampung memiliki resistesi terhadap penyakit dan kemampuan adaptasi yang tinggi, tapi memiliki pertumbuhan lambat dan efisiensi konversi pakan yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pertumbuhan dan efisiensi konversi pakan ayam kampung dengan perlakuan in ovo feeding L-arginine. Sebanyak 135 butir telur ayam kampung fertil dimasukkan kedalam mesin tetas semi-otomatis dan dibagi menjadi lima kelompok perlakuan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan pertama yaitu tanpa injeksi (kontrol negatif); perlakuan ke-2 diinjeksi dengan saline 0,9% (kontrol positif); perlakuan ke-3, ke-4, dan ke-5 masing-masing diinjeksi dengan L-Arginine 0,5%, 1,0%, dan 1,5%. In Ovo Feeding dilakukan pada hari ke-10 inkubasi dengan injeksi kedalam albumen. Setelah menetas, DOC dipindahkan kedalam pen dengan alas litter, sesuai dengan perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi pakan perlakuan in ovo feeding L-arginine dengan kontrol tidak berbeda. In ovo feeding L-arginine menghasilkan pertambahan berat badan yang lebih tinggi dan konversi pakan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol positif. Injeksi L-arginine 0,5% merupakan konsentrasi optimum untuk meningkatkan pertambahan berat badan dan menurunkan konversi pakan ayam kampung. In ovo feeding L-arginine meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan dan efisiensi konversi pakan ayam kampung, dengan konsentrasi optimum 0,5%

    Free-floating right heart thrombus is a rare phenomenon and has dismal rognosis. The optimal management of free-floating right thrombus remains controversial with no clear consensus. We present a case of right atrial free-floating thrombus in 56-year-old woman in chemotherapy inducedcardiomyopathy. Three weeks of warfarin treatment showed complete thrombus resolution. To the best of our knowledge, no such case has previously been reported in Indonesia

    Peningkatan Kualitas Ampas Sagu Melalui Fermentasi Sebagai Bahan Pakan Ternak

    The aim of this research was to improve the nutrient of sago waste through fermentation with various microbescombination, inoculum dosage and fermentation length. The experiment used complete randomized design (CRD) with3x3x3 factorial and twice repetition. The first factor was three kind of microbe (A): (1) Neurospora sp (2) Pennicillium sp,(3) Trichoderma harzianum. The second factor was inoculume dosage (B): (1) 3%, (2) 6%, and (3) 9%. The third factorwas fermentation length (C): (1) 4 day, (2) 7day and (3) 10 day. The parameters were dry matter, crude protein and crudefiber. The results of study showed that there were no significant (P>0.05) interaction between factor A, B and C, than factorA and B, factor A and C, factor B and C, to dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber of fermented sagos waste. But everyfactor A, B and C were significantly (P<0.01) affected to dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber of fermented sagos waste.The conclusion was sagos waste which was fermented by Pennicillium sp, inoculume dosage 9% andfermentation length 10 day showed a better content. This condition can be seen in dry matter 64.21%, crudeprotein 14.08%, and crude fiber 13.67
