ÖZGÜR VE MEDENİ BİR ANKARA İÇİN

A1 Türk Dili ve Yazını dersi kapsamında yazılmış olan bu uzun tezde, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu’nun Ankara adlı romanında Avrupa halkına ve medeniyetine bakış açılarının, Türk halkının özgürlüğüne kavuşma ve gelişme sürecine etkileri odak figürler üzerinden incelenmiştir. Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu’nun Ankara adlı romanında Kurtuluş Savaşı sırasında milli beraberlik duygusu içinde hizmet vermiş bazı aydınların savaş yıllarının zorluğundan kurtulduktan sonra birtakım arsa spekülasyonları ve taahhüt işleriyle zengin olup refaha ulaştığında milli mücadele duygularını kaybetmeleri eleştirilir. Yapıtta Kurtuluş Savaşı ve sonrasındaki gelişmeler odak figürler üzerinden yansıtılmıştır. Bu incelemede roman Savaş zamanı, Savaştan sonra, Cumhuriyetin onuncu yılından sonra, olmak üzere üç bölümde değerlendirilmiştir. Romanın ilk iki bölümünde gerçekçi oluşumlar yansıtılır. Üçüncü bölümünde tarihsel olarak uyumsuz bir yazınsal gerçeklik içinde laik ve medeni Türkiye, Kurtuluş Savaşı ve sonrasında yazınsal alanda hizmet vermiş bir figür olan Neşet Sabit üzerinden verilir. Yapıtın ikinci ve üçüncü bölümlerinde Avrupa taklitçiliğinin öz değerlerine yabancılaşan bir aydın yarattığı eleştirisine gidilir. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda romanda savaş sırasında aynı amaca yönelik bir tutum birliği içinde olan insanların savaş sonrasında bu gerçeklikten uzaklaştıkları, özenti içindeki Avrupalılaşma yanlısı davranışlarıyla başlangıçtaki amaçlarından uzaklaştıkları gözlenmiştir

Local and global process of stimuli in autism using face

Special Issue: Abstracts of the XXIX International Congress of Psychology, Monday 21st July 2008.The aim of the study was how people with autism configure faces. We collected data from autistic and normal children. In a lighted room participants were presented with 24 stimuli constructed by three dots configuring a face. Stimuli were provided in upright or inverted and symmetric or asymetric, which are determined by the relative distances and positions among dots making either face or no face. The error rate was measured. The results showed that autistics showed a significant error when the face stimili were presented inverted fashion, suggesting that they focused on local feature in face processing

Legal Framework of Investment in Turkey

Turkey has always been a country that attracts the attention of investors due to its geopolitical position. Legislation regarding investment is shaped in line with the social and economic policies of the country. It is seen that our country has accepted investment-friendly regulations in the process up to now. In this context, the “Foreign Direct Investments Law” dated 2003 and numbered 4875 is the Law which should be examined as a priority. This Law brought two important changes in investment law. One of these innovations is the transition from the permission system to the notification system in foreign investment. The other innovation is related to who can be considered as a foreign investor. With the new regulation, Turkish citizens residing abroad will also be able to get investor status. We define stocks and capital market investments less than 10% and not giving a control on the company as indirect investments. Within the scope of our study, direct investments, indirect investments and their legal framework will be explained in accordance with the relevant legislation

Effects of contemporary orthodontic composites on tooth color following short-term fixed orthodontic treatment: A controlled clinical study

Background/aim: To determine the color alterations of natural teeth associated with different orthodontic composites used in comprehensive short-term treatment. Materials and methods: Twenty-two patients were treated with fixed appliances and 22 untreated subjects were also evaluated. Lower incisors were bonded with different orthodontic composites: 42 with Grengloo, 41 with Light Bond, 31 with Kurasper F, and 32 with Transbond XT. The color parameters of the Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage (CIE) were measured for each tooth with a spectrophotometer. Color assessment in relation to time, adhesive material, and their interaction was made with 2-way mixed analysis of variance (ANOVA) and 1-way ANOVA for the color differences (ΔE*). Further analyses were done using Tukey’s honestly significant difference tests and paired-samples t-tests. Results: The color of teeth was affected by treatment. The mean L* and a* values increased, whereas the mean b* values decreased. Total color differences of teeth demonstrated visible color changes clinically after treatment, ranging from 1.12 to 3.34 ΔE units. However, there were no significant differences for color of enamel. Conclusion: Teeth may be discolored with fixed appliances during treatment. Moreover, contemporary orthodontic composites have similar effects of enamel discoloration. © TÜBİTAK
