    Get PDF

    Get PDF
The text intends to discuss the meanings “love” was used in two circumstances: the demonstrations called “More Love in SP”, that took place during 2012, an election year in the capital of São Paulo, Brazil; and the hashtag #LoveWins on June 26, 2015 after the Supreme Court of the United States approved civil union between same sex couples. The main question is: how and why was “love” used in political debates? Apparently, the intention resided precisely in the capacity for transcendence of the term “love”, it could overcome partisan and sexual opposition. I assume that, by using a sentiment, the public agents claim a universal speech, unmarked by specific interests

This article analyzes the clipping that Os Satyros Theater Company presents on its theater. The objective is to investigate how this group created its history through the selection of press media publication. It aims to contribute to the historiography of the Brazilian theater to analyzes how certain narratives became “official” and were incorporated by theater professionals (companies, directors, actors and actresses etc.).The methodology highlights the importance of contrasting sources and documents in order to understand how historical narratives are created by theater professionals.

Musical theatre in Brazil underwent a radical change with the approach of the twenty-first century, when local and foreign contexts favored the creation ofnew transnational routes for the commerce of musicals. In this text, we analyze the processes that ledto the recent renaissance of musical theatre in Brazil, which basically happened in transnational terms. In the first section, we present the emergence of theatrical ‘technopolitics’ that enable the UK and the USA to export Broadway and West End shows, models and modes of production. In the secondsection, we discuss the contradictions on the importation and adaptation of such formulae to Brazil, a process made possible by the creation of a specificlegislation for culture funding, the Rouanet Law (Lei Rouanet).O teatro musical no Brasil sofreu uma mudança radical com a aproximação do século XXI, quando contextos locais e estrangeiros favoreceram a criação de novas rotas transnacionais para o comércio de musicais.

Antropologia e pandemia: escalas e conceitos

    Get PDF
Due to the profusion of intellectual responses to the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic, this article systematizes some publications carried out by humanities from March to June 2020. The proposal was initially thought of as content for undergraduate students and dealt with texts present in the volume Wuhan soup, on the n-1 website, the “CEMI Observatory – COVID-19” (Unicamp), the Anpocs Bulletin, and the anthropoLÓGICAS Epidêmicas website (UFRGS). Such production is marked by relatively short texts, in varied compositions, of fast writing and circulation. Some of them have an essayistic format, and others have an analytical approach. In this article, we discuss both the content and methodological perspectives of the material. We present a transversal reading of this production, suggesting two main thematic axes regarding 1) the problem of scale; 2) the problem of biopower and governments. With this effort, we emphasize the perspectives and concepts of social science to apprehend the contemporary world

Dental and composite resin discoloration induced by different hydraulic calcium silicate-based cements: two-year in vitro assessment

Few long-term studies assess the discoloration induced by hydraulic calcium silicate-based cement on dental structures. In addition, as far as we know, no long-term study has assessed the discoloration induced by these cement on composite resin. Objective: This in vitro study aimed to assess, during a period of two years, the discoloration potential of different hydraulic calcium silicate-based cements (hCSCs) on the enamel/dentin structure and composite resin restoration. Methodology: A total of 40 enamel/dentin discs were obtained from bovine incisors, and 40 composite resin discs (10 mm in diameter × 2 mm thick) were fabricated. A 0.8 mm-deep cavity was made in the center of each disc and filled with the following hCSCs (n=10): Original MTA (Angelus); MTA Repair HP (Angelus); NeoMTA Plus (Avalon); and Biodentine (Septodont). An initial color measurement was performed (T0 - baseline). After 7, 15, 30, 45, 90, 300 days, and two years, new color measurements were performed to determine the color (ΔE00), lightness (ΔL’), chroma (ΔC’), hue differences (ΔH’), and whiteness index (WID). Results: For enamel/dentin, the ΔE00 was significant among groups and periods (p<0.05). NeoMTA Plus had the greatest ΔE00. The NeoMTA Plus group had the greatest ΔE00 after two years for composite resin. Significant reduction in lightness was observed for all groups after two years (p<0.05). The most significant WID values were observed after 30 days for Biodentine (enamel/dentin) and MTA Repair HP groups (composite resin) (p<0.05). Conclusions: The hCSCs changed the colorimetric behavior of both substrates, leading to greater darkening over time. The Bi2O3 in the Original MTA seems relevant in the short periods of color change assessment

OBJECTIVE: To update recommendationsforthe treatment of psoriatic arthritis with biological therapies, endorsed by the Portuguese Society of Rheumatology (SPR). METHODS: These treatment recommendations were formulated by Portuguese rheumatologists based on literature evidence and consensus opinion. At a national meeting the 16 recommendations included in this document were discussed and updated. The level of agreement among Portuguese Rheumatologists was assessed using an online survey. A draft of the full text of the recommendations was then circulated and suggestions were incorporated. A final version was again circulated before publication. RESULTS: A consensus was achieved regarding the initiation, assessment of response and switching biological therapies in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Specific recommendations were developed for several disease domains: peripheral arthritis, axial disease, enthesitis and dactylitis. CONCLUSION: These recommendations may be used for guidance in deciding which patients with PsA should be treated with biological therapies. They cover a rapidly evolving area oftherapeutic intervention.Asmore evidence becomes available and more biological therapies are licensed, these recommendations will have to be updated
