Sampling and Reconstruction of Signals in a Reproducing Kernel Subspace of Lp(Rd)L^p({\Bbb R}^d)

In this paper, we consider sampling and reconstruction of signals in a reproducing kernel subspace of L^p(\Rd), 1\le p\le \infty, associated with an idempotent integral operator whose kernel has certain off-diagonal decay and regularity. The space of pp-integrable non-uniform splines and the shift-invariant spaces generated by finitely many localized functions are our model examples of such reproducing kernel subspaces of L^p(\Rd). We show that a signal in such reproducing kernel subspaces can be reconstructed in a stable way from its samples taken on a relatively-separated set with sufficiently small gap. We also study the exponential convergence, consistency, and the asymptotic pointwise error estimate of the iterative approximation-projection algorithm and the iterative frame algorithm for reconstructing a signal in those reproducing kernel spaces from its samples with sufficiently small gap

Design and Development of an Infrared Heater For Waste Plastic Gasification

    Get PDF
This paper outlines the design, manufacture and analysis of a far infrared ceramic heater for plastic gasification purposes.  The study includes the theoretical overview of the mathematical modelling of the far infrared ceramic heater. This study gives a novel energy conversion system of waste plastic materials. In this system, waste plastics are converted into gaseous fuel by gasification using infrared gasifier system. The derived gaseous fuels can then be used in fuel cell for purposes of electricity production. In this study two types of waste plastics (high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene) have been used as feedstock for the infrared gasifier. Analysis of the spectral properties of the waste plastics has been performed. Gasification of plastic waste as carbonaceous material, basic reactions during the gasification of plastics and gasification results has been analysed. The ceramic infrared heaters developed in this research are fully functional and all test results obtained are accurate to a very fair degree. The results obtained from the gasification experiment shows that using infrared heaters on gasification is practically sound because of significant advantages of infrared heating compared to the landfill and incineration. The work is intended to develop a low-cost ceramic infrared heater solution to be used in plastic waste gasification

Hybrid features-based prediction for novel phish websites

    Get PDF
Phishers frequently craft novel deceptions on their websites and circumvent existing anti-phishing techniques for insecure intrusions, users’ digital identity theft, and then illegal profits. This raises the needs to incorporate new features for detecting novel phish websites and optimizing the existing anti-phishing techniques. In this light, 58 new hybrid features were proposed in this paper and their prediction susceptibilities were evaluated by using feature co-occurrence criterion and a baseline machine learning algorithm. Empirical test and analysis showed the significant outcomes of the proposed features on detection performance. As a result, the most influential features are identified, and new insights are offered for further detection improvement

Application of natural fibre composite in the aviation industry: a review

    Get PDF
The evolution in aviation industry continues to evolve in this current era. The aviation industry is engaged in the research, development and manufacturing of flight vehicles. The critical item such as the propulsion systems, avionics system, operating and maintenance of flight vehicle are rigorously improved year by year. The interior components of aircraft are gaining serious attention in replacing the synthetic fibre with natural fibre composite material. The researchers conducted are mainly for civil, security and transportation. However, the focus on aircraft interior still immature and need further investigation. Therefore, this paper is reviewing the potential of natural fibre in the aviation industry

    ON DIRECT PRODUCT pure − 1 − 2 − 3 SUBGROUPS IN ABELIAN GROUP Gn×Gm

    Get PDF
In this paper, we shall define new subgroups which are called pure−1−2−3 in abelian groups Gn×Gm for all n,m∈N which are a family of pure subgroups. In[1],[2]H.M.A.Abdullah  gave the some general properties of pure− 1−2−3 in abelian group G, but here, we shall prove more than properties on this subgroups in ModGn×Gm, which are not valid for pure subgroups

Testing extreme value copulas to estimate the quantile

    Get PDF
We generalize the test proposed by Kojadinovic, Segers and Yan which is used for testing whether the data belongs to the family of extreme value copulas. We prove that the generalized test can be applied whatever the alternative hypothesis. We also study the effect of using different extreme value copulas in the context of risk estimation. To measure the risk we use a quantile. Our results have been motivated by a bivariate sample of losses from a real database of auto insurance claims
