Chronic systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) underlies many diseases (sepsis, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus). According to research data of recent years the key role in the development of SIRS is played by the activation of various nuclear transcription factors. The work was aimed at studying the role of such transcription factor as activator protein 1 (AP-1) in the development of oxidative and nitrosative stress in soft periodontal tissues during chronic systemic inflammatory response (SIRS). The experiment was carried out on 24 the Wistar rats. We induced SIRS by bacterial lipopolysaccharide of Salmonella typhi (0.4 μg/kg) intraperitoneal injection. We studied changes in the functioning of the nitric oxide (NO) cycle, the production of superoxide anion radical (O2•-) and the activity of antioxidant enzymes in soft periodontal tissues homogenate. We used SR11302 as an Ap-1 inhibitor (15 mg/kg) for 2 months. We established that during the SIRS modeling, the activity of antioxidant enzymes in soft periodontal tissues decreased with a simultaneous increase in the production of O2•-. SIRS elevated the production of NO by inducible NO-synthase (iNOS) and nitrite reductases. The nonoxidative cleavage of L-arginine under this condition was also increased. The concentration of peroxynitrite (ONOO–) was shown to be elevated more than 2-fold. The inhibition of AP-1 by SR11302 normalized the functional state of the NO cycle, reduced O2•- production and restored the activity of antioxidant enzymes. In this way, under SIRS conditions, “vicious circle” of ONOO– formation is formed. SIRS in soft periodontal tissues poses a threat of oxidative and nitrosative stress development. Usage of AP-1 activation inhibitor SR11302 breaks “vicious circle” of ONOO– formation

The article proves that the concept of centralized energy supply is losing its significance, and the ideology of the new paradigm of energy development, among the basic provisions of which there is the need for the advanced development of distributed energy systems, comes to replace it. The aim of the article is to develop and test a methodological approach to assessing the level of development of distributed generation in Ukraine and its regions. There defined the essence of the concept “distributed generation” and its main principles: 1 – proximity of the location of production facilities to consumers; 2 – flexibility of production facilities; 3 – use of diversified nomenclature of primary fuel and energy resources (PFER). The methodological approach to assessing the development level of distributed generation in Ukraine and its regions is proposed. Within the framework of the approach: the indicator of covering demand by local production of regions of Ukraine is calculated; the degree of adequacy of local production for covering electricity demand in them is estimated; the indicators of development of distributed generation in regions of Ukraine are calculated; the structure of the power generation park in the country is studied, and the indicator of flexibility of production facilities in its regions is calculated; the level of flexibility of facilities in regions of the country is assessed; the structure of the power generation park in Ukraine by type of PFER is analyzed, and the indicator of diversification of production facilities in regions of the country by type of PFEPs is calculated; the level of diversification of facilities in regions of Ukraine by type of PFEPs is assessed; based on individual indicators, including the indicators of covering demand by production, energy flexibility, and diversification of facilities, the integral indicator of the development level of distributed generation in regions of Ukraine in 2017 is calculated

Background. Identification of crop varieties is presently one of the most important aspects due a significant annual increase in the number of newly developed cultivars. Application of molecular markers makes it possible to identify cultivars and secure protection of plant breeders’ rights. Marker techniques based on SSR loci and PawS markers were evaluated for their efficiency in revealing the DNA polymorphism in Russian red clover cultivars, and the research results are presented in this publication.Materials and Methods. The total genome DNA was extracted by a modified SDS method from 30 seedlings per each cultivar. Nine simple sequence repeats (SSR) and 4 PawS markers were used for genotyping. The basic genetic diversity parameters were measured and analyzed using the software resources GelAnalyzer 2010а, MStools v.3, and Statistica 7.0.Results and conclusion. The mean level of intervarietal DNA polymorphism in red clover was 38.6%. Cultivar-specific amplicons were obtained for 4 accessions (cvs. ‘Trifon’, ‘Topaz’, ‘Trio’ and ‘Mars’) with SSR loci RCS1307 and RCS3095. These loci were found appropriate for identification and certification of such cultivars. The tested PawS markers (individually and in combinations) proved non-informative for the analysis of intervarietal DNA polymorphism in red clover. The only primer pair PawS5+PawS16 generated reproducible PCR products, but unique amplicons were absent in the DNA profiles. The data obtained in this study may be helpful for further identification and certification of Russian red clover cultivars and promising breeding materials

The purpose of the work was to study the state of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant system in periodontal tissues under the influence of the local pathogenic factor on the gums in rats against modeled systemic inflammatory response (SIR)reproduction. The study was carried out on 40 white male rats of the Wistar line weighing 180-220 g, divided into 4 groups: the 1stincluded intact animals, the 2nd was made up by animals subjected to SIR modeling, the 3rdincluded animals, which were subjected to modeled acute gingivitis by applying 5% sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution onto their gums, and the 4thgroup involved rats with acute gingivitis induced by 5% NaOH solution against modeled SIR. SIR was induced by intraperitoneal administration of lipopolysaccharide Salmonella typhi (pyrogenalum) in a dose that stimulated rise in temperature by 1.5 °C. During the following seven weeks of the experiment, rats were given 4 MPD / kg of body weight once a week. To simulate the action of local pathogenic factor affecting the gums we used the modeled acute gingivitis. For this purpose we irrigated the rats’ gums with 5% NaOH solution through 10 s. The simulation of SIRis ac-companied by the development of decompensated LPO in periodontal tissues, by the decrease in their antioxidant poten-tial as well as the activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase. The application of 5% NaOH solution onto thegums is accompanied by the development of compensated LPO in periodontal tissues with an increase in the activity of superox-ide dismutase and catalase. The application of 5% NaOH solution onto the gums against modeled SIR causes an in-crease in the production of by-products of LPO in periodontal tissues and reduced their antioxidant potential, as well as the activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase compared to separate simulations of SIR and acute gingivitis.

The Government Regulation and Support of Synthetic Liquid Fuels Production in Ukraine

The article proves that today motor fuels is an important component of both energy and national security of any country in the world, since it provides transport and equipment with the necessary energy resource. After the invasion of the territory of Ukraine by the armed forces of the russian federation and the destruction caused by shelling and hostilities of a number of oil and gas processing plants, it is necessary to restore or create a new production of motor fuels on the country’s own raw material base as soon as possible. The only energy resource that can partially meet Ukraine’s needs for motor fuels through the country’s own production is coal and lignite. The establishment of the production of synthetic liquid fuels (SLF) from coal and lignite in the regions of Ukraine will help strengthen the country’s energy security, and national security in particular. At the same time, the creation and development of SLF production requires proper government support and regulation. The aim of the study is to determine the features and directions of improving government regulation and supporting the production of SLF in Ukraine. Based on the carried out study, it is proved that the lack of both production and market of synthetic analogues and components of liquid motor fuels in Ukraine determines that the regulatory field of enterprises for the production of SLF is represented by the current regulatory framework for economic relations in the sphere of oil and oil products turnover. Therefore, it is highly likely that the development of SLF production in Ukraine will take place in the regulatory field, which does not take into account the specifics of new industries. This inconsistency can create undesirable additional barriers to their entry into the national market of petroleum products. It is recommended to allocate synthetic analogues of motor fuels into a separate commodity group, for which it is advisable to establish a special excise tax rate and other preferences that can provide sufficient investment flow for the creation of SLF production facilities
