    Latar belakang : Pengelasan adalah suatu proses pengikatan metalurgi pada sambungan logam atau logam paduan menggunakan energi panas, yang dilakukan pada saat logam dalam keadaan cair. Pengelasan memiliki potensi bahaya yang sangat tinggi yang disebabkan oleh adanya beberapa bahaya, salah satunya adalah radiasi. Hal ini menyebabkan proses metabolisme tubuh berinteraksi dengan panas dan lingkungan akan menyebabkan pekerja mengalami heat stress. Tubuh kehilangan banyak cairan dan elektrolit tubuh karena digunakan untuk menjaga tubuh dalam keadaan suhu normal. Hal ini menempatkan pekerja pada risiko dehidrasi. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan Usia, Masa Kerja, dan Iklim Kerja dengan kejadian dehidrasi pada pekerja bengkel las PT. X Sleman untuk pekerja industri di bengkel las di Sleman. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pekerja las di PT. Bengkel Las X Sleman. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling dari 35 responden di bengkel las industri di Sleman. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah umur, masa kerja, dan iklim kerja. Variabel terikat adalah kejadian dehidrasi. Sedangkan variabel yang mengganggu adalah jenis kelamin, status gizi, silau, kebisingan. Hasil: Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran serta dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p-value variabel usia dengan kejadian dehidrasi 0,044<0,05 menggunakan uji Chi-Square, masa kerja dengan kejadian dehidrasi 0,044<0,05, iklim kerja dengan kejadian dehidrasi. 0,018<0,05. Kesimpulan: hasil penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara umur, masa kerja, dan iklim kerja dengan kejadian dehidrasi pada pekerja bengkel las di PT. X Sleman.     Chemical composition and antioxidant activity of essential oil, various organic extracts of Cistus ladanifer and Cistus libanotis growing in Eastern Morocco

    In the present work, we studied the chemical composition of the essential oil of Cistus ladanifer and Cistus libanotis growing in Eastern Morocco. The essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation and their chemical composition was analysed using gas chromatography- mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Camphene, borneol, cyclohexanol-2, 2, 6 tremethyl, terpineol-4 and α-pinene were the main constituents of the essential oil of C. ladanifer, while in the essential oil of C. libanotis we obtained terpineol-4, γ-terpinene, camphene, sabinene, α-terpinene and α-pinene. The antioxidant potential of various extracts (water, ethanol, ethanol: water (50:50), methanol, methanol: water (50:50), acetonitrile) and essential oils of C. ladanifer and C. libanotis were carried out by the method of 1,1-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazylhydrate (DPPH) free radical scavenging. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined. The result show that C. ladanifer of the leaves of methanol: water (50:50) extract had the highest value of total phenolic content and the lowest was present in ethanol: water (50:50) extract of the stem and acetonitrile extract of the flowers of C. libanotis.     Kesalahan berbahasa merupakan peristiwa yang dilakukan secara sengaja maupun tidak dan dilakukan oleh pengguna bahasa. Peristiwa tersebut dapat diketahui melalui sebuah acuan pada kompetensi yang terjadi secara sistematis dan konsisten. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kesalahan berbahasa tataran semantik pada berita daring laman sindonews.com. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan dalam tataran semantik dengan objek kajian berupa berita daring pada laman sindonews.com. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah teknik simak dan catat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan berbahasa tataran semantik pada berita daring laman sindonews.com meliputi kesalahan 1) gejala hiperkorek, 2) gejala pleonasme, 3) pilihan kata atau diksi, dan 4) ambiguitas. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa berita daring ke depannya harus lebih berhati-hati saat mempublikasikan berita. Media berita daring harus jeli dan mengoreksi penulisan berita yang hendak dipublikasikan. Kesalahan berbahasa pada berita daring dapat berakibat fatal karena perbedaan persepsi dan makna dari setiap pembaca

    Histopathology of prostate tissue after vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy for localized prostate cancer

    Low-risk prostate adenocarcinoma is classically managed either with active surveillance or radical therapy (such as external radiotherapy or radical prostatectomy), but both have significant side effects. Vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP) is a focal therapy proposed as an alternative approach for localized, low-volume, and low-Gleason score (≤6) carcinomas. We report histological modifications observed in prostate biopsies of 56 patients, performed 6 months after VTP using the photosensitizer TOOKAD® Soluble (WST11) and low-energy laser administered in the tumor area transperineally by optic fibers. In 53 patients, we observed sharply demarcated hyaline fibrotic scars, with or without rare atrophic glands, sometimes reduced to corpora amylacea surrounded by giant multinuclear macrophages. Mild chronic inflammation, hemosiderin, and coagulative necrosis were also observed. When residual cancer was present in a treated lobe (17 patients), it was always located outside the scar, most often close to the prostate capsule, and it showed no therapy-related modification. Histopathological interpretation of post-WST11 VTP prostate biopsies was straightforward, in contrast with that of prostate biopsies after radio or hormonal therapy, which introduces lesions difficult to interpret. VTP resulted in complete ablation of cancer in the targeted area

    Computational fluid dynamics study of dusty air flow over NACA 63415 airfoil for wind turbine applications

    Gulf and South African countries have enormous potential for wind energy. However, the emergence of sand storms in this region postulates performance and reliability challenges on wind turbines. This study investigates the effects of debris flow on wind turbine blade performance. In this paper, two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and the transition SST turbulence model are used to analyze the aerodynamic performance of NACA 63415 airfoil under clean and sandy conditions. The numerical simulation of the airfoil under clean surface condition is performed at Reynolds number 460Ă—103, and the numerical results have a good consistency with the experimental data. The Discrete Phase Model has been used to investigate the role sand particles play in the aerodynamic performance degradation. The pressure and lift coefficients of the airfoil have been computed under different sand particles flow rates. The performance of the airfoil under different angle of attacks has been studied. Results showed that the blade lift coefficient can deteriorate by 28% in conditions relevant to the Gulf and South African countries sand storms. As a result, the numerical simulation method has been verified to be economically available for accurate estimation of the sand particles effect on the wind turbine blades

    This paper presents a novel approach based on electromagnetic waves (EM) to classify food packages that hold water as one of the main ingredients from the inside into contaminated or uncontaminated products. A non-destructive technique that can handle a real-time food production line is proposed to achieve this goal. This technique combines the operation of a microwave sensing system (MW) with a machine learning (ML) classifier. An accuracy of 100% has been obtained from training the aforementioned ML tool on a dataset constructed from the retrieved scattering parameters of about 500 measuring samples

    Conidiobolomycose rhinofaciale avec localisations cervicales, thoraciques et brachiales : à propos d’un cas nigérian

    We report here the clinical case of a Nigerian adult patient who received medical care during October 2010, at the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Buruli ulcer in Pobè (Benin). He presented a massive facial tumor associated with several subcutaneous (cervical, thoracic and upper limbs) nodules, evolving since several years. Tissue samples collected at Pobè medical center were addressed to the mycology and histology laboratories of Angers University Hospital (France), according to the medical exchange agreement between the two institutions about the diagnosis and treatment of Buruli ulcer disease. Histological examination showed a Splendore-Hoeppli phenomenon, consisting of a granulomatous reaction made of eosinophilic polynuclear cells surrounding rare, large and irregular, non-septate hyphae. A filamentous fungus was isolated by cultivation of the clinical samples, which was identified as Conidiobolus coronatus. The patient was treated orally with daily doses of ketoconazole (400 mg per day). After 4 months of treatment, a marked regression of the facial lesion was obtained. A first constructive facial surgery was achieved, but the patient did not attend the second step. This case report allows us to remind the mycological diagnosis of this exotic mycosis, but also to emphasize the main difficulties encountered in medical management in the developing countries

    Study of the bryological flora at the archaeological site of Chellah, Morocco

    The Chellah archaeological site in Rabat, listed as a cultural asset since 2012 on UNESCO's World Heritage List, is subject to significant biodeterioration. The aim of this study is to identify the bryophytes that have an important impact on the destruction of the substrate. For this purpose, three prospectionswere carried out in autumn 2014, spring 2015 and winter 2016. The systematic sampling carried out allowed us to identify 20 species of bryophytes belonging to 10 botanical families, of which 4are dominant with 13 species equivalent to 65% of the total. The four families are Pottiaceae, Brachyceciaceae, Funariaceae and Bryaceae; they belong to the class of Muscinae. The liverworts are represented by only 6 species, representing 30% of the total population. Among the 20 species inventoried, 3 are newly observed in the region of Rabat: Entosthodon pulchellus (H. Philib.) Brugués; Dydimodon Fallax Hedw. and Trichostomum crispulum Bruch. When bryophytes settle on substrates, a preliminary soilis initiated to the detriment of the quality of materials and their durability
