As a financial institution that has a strategic role in the national economic growth, a bank should be managed professionally, rationally and accountably in addition to having strong commitment to protect its customers from any wrong doing. In order that banking system is sound, dynamic, profesional and accountable, banks should operate under several principles such as prudentiality, safety, profitability and efficiency

A novel Multi-permittivity Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wideband Applications

    Get PDF
In this paper, a novel multi-permittivity cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna for wideband application is presented. The multi-permittivity cylinder is formed by combining two different permittivity material sectors in such a way that each sector (with constant permittivity) is 90 degree apart. A direct microstrip line coupling terminated with T-stub at the open end is used to excite the multi-permittivity cylindrical dielectric resonator. The angular position of the multi sector dielectric resonator with respect to the longitudinal axis of the microstrip line and length of the additional strip at the open end of the feeding circuit is key parameters for wideband operation of the antenna. By optimizing all parameters of the proposed antenna, wideband impedance bandwidth of 56% (12.1 GHz - 21.65 GHz) is achieved. The average gain of the antenna throughout the bandwidth is 5.9 dB with good radiation properties in both E-plane and H-plane. A well matched simulation and experimental results show that the antenna is suitable for wideband applications

Investigation on Aromaticity Index and Double-Bond Equivalent of Aromatic Compounds and Ionic Liquids for Fuel Desulphurization

    Get PDF
Aromaticity index (AI) and double-bond equivalent (DBE) were studied to seek a simpler approach in identifying suitable ionic liquids for the desulphurization process. Manifestation of interaction mechanism by COSMO-RS and Raman spectroscopy is discussed. The findings demonstrate that AI and DBE calculations can be used to analyze and arrogate potential combination of cation and anion for fuel desulphurization purposes

Properties of Polyurethane Foam/Coconut Coir Fiber as a Core Material and as a Sandwich Composites Component

    Get PDF
This research focuses on the fabrication and characterization of the sandwich composites panel using glass fiber composite skin and polyurethane foam reinforced coconut coir fiber core. The main objectives are to characterize the physical and mechanical properties and to elucidate the effect of coconut coir fibers in polyurethane foam cores and sandwich composites panel. Coconut coir fibers were used as reinforcement in polyurethane foams in which later were applied as the core in sandwich composites ranged from 5 wt% to 20 wt%. The physical and mechanical properties found to be significant at 5 wt% coconut coir fiber in polyurethane foam cores as well as in sandwich composites. It was found that composites properties serve better in sandwich composites construction

Effects of Solder Temperature on Pin Through-Hole during Wave Soldering: Thermal-Fluid Structure Interaction Analysis

    Get PDF
An efficient simulation technique was proposed to examine the thermal-fluid structure interaction in the effects of solder temperature on pin through-hole during wave soldering. This study investigated the capillary flow behavior as well as the displacement, temperature distribution, and von Mises stress of a pin passed through a solder material. A single pin throughhole connector mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) was simulated using a 3D model solved by FLUENT. The ABAQUS solver was employed to analyze the pin structure at solder temperatures of 456.15 K (183∘C)

CSLM: Levenberg Marquardt based Back Propagation Algorithm Optimized with Cuckoo Search

    Get PDF
Training an artificial neural network is an optimization task, since it is desired to find optimal weight sets for a neural network during training process. Traditional training algorithms such as back propagation have some drawbacks such as getting stuck in local minima and slow speed of convergence. This study combines the best features of two algorithms; i.e. Levenberg Marquardt back propagation (LMBP) and Cuckoo Search (CS) for improving the convergence speed of artificial neural networks (ANN) training. The proposed CSLM algorithm is trained on XOR and OR datasets. The experimental results show that the proposed CSLM algorithm has better performance than other similar hybrid variants used in this study

Validation and Experimental Evaluation of Magnetorheological Brake-by-Wire System

    Get PDF
Magnetorheological brake is one of x-by-wire system which is performing better than conventional brake system. MR brake consists of a rotating disc that is immersed with magnetorheological fluid in an enclosure of an electromagnetic coil. The applied magnetic field will increase the yield strength of the MR fluid where this fluid was used to decrease the speed of the rotating shaft. The purpose of this paper is to develop a mathematical model to represent MR brake with a test rig. The MR brake model is developed based on actual torque characteristic which is coupled with motion of a test rig. Next, the experimental are performed using MR brake test rig and obtained three output responses known as angular velocity response, torque and load displacement. Furthermore, the MR brake was subjected to various loads and current. Finally, the simulation results of MR brake model are verified with experimental results

A looking-out portal (LOP) approach to enhance qualitative aspects of bandwidth utilisation in academic networks

    Get PDF
Campuses of educational institutions periodically need to increase network bandwidth to keep up with increased demand and this decision is based on the quantitative aspects of the network bandwidth utilisation. The qualitative utilisation of the bandwidth is seldom looked into. Improving the qualitative utilisation of the bandwidth may not even necessitate a network upgrade. Although blacklist-based access control techniques help to a certain degree, the findings of this research indicate otherwise. A multi-tier, whitelist-based, looking-out portal (LOP) approach is presented that promises to improve the qualitative utilisation of the network while positively impacting pertinent resource identification and location of sources on the internet. The authors draw on their years of experience serving as students and staff in various campuses of universities and colleges in various countries while making recommendations

Nursing services in the hospital are the main factor to decide the health service quality. The society need good quality of health services, because of that, the nurses have to improve their performance optimally. The purpose of the study is to analyze the factors that influence the nurses performance at The Third Hospital of 16.06.01 in the city of Ambon. The method of the research is a survey analytical research using cross-sectional approach to find out the correlation between competency, job satisfaction, motivation, supervision and leadership with the nurses performance at the same time. The research instrument is a questionairre. The result shows that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction (p= 0.000,r=1000) with nurses performance and supervision factors (p=0.039,r= -0.635) with nurses performance. But there is not a relation between the competency (p= 0.599,r= 0.190) with nurses performance ,motivation (p= 0.615,r= 0.180) and leadership (p= 0.946,r= -0.024) and the nurses performance. The result of regression analysis shows there are no correlation between competency, job satisfaction, motivation, supervision and leadership with the nurses performance simultanously (p= 0.007). The result of the second regression analysis shows that there are correlation between job satisfaction(p= 0.001,B=0.588) and supervision (p= 0.019,B= -0.347) and the job satisfaction has dominant influence to the nurses performance. This research show that there are correlation between job satisfaction and supervision with the nurses performence. It is recommended that the hospital should focus on the nurses job satisfaction and nursing supervision.
