Pemanfaatan Forum Komunikasi Komite Sekolah dalam Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan SMA di Kabupaten Gowa

The role and functions of school committees communication forum in improving the quality of high school education. This study aimed to overview the implementation of the school committee and a forum for communication in high school Gowa, the picture quality of high school education in Gowa, picture of the relationship between the roles and functions of school committees communication forum with the quality of high school education in Gowa. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the use of a communication forum of the school committee in improving the quality of high school education in Gowa has been going well. With the meeting of the forum held both routine and incidental communication among school committee forum administrators, board of school committee leadership communication forum, board communication forum with the school committee and the school leadership coordination meeting of the school committee leadership communication forum with the school, so that the role and forum functions as a conduit of communication school committee consideration, support, control, and mediators have a positive impact in enhancing the quality of education through the input, process and output of education

Nutritional Status, Nutrient Intakes and Physical Activity in Relation to Physical Fitness

The study focused on the physical fitness of Senior High School's students at Sragen, Central Java in 2010. The purpose of this study was to determine the relations between nutritional status, nutrient intakes, and physical activity to physical fitness measured by fitness test using Indonesia's Physical Fitness Test for aged 16-19 years minus pull-up test. This study was a cross-sectional design. The data was collected from 198 Senior High School's students at Sragen; Central Java aged 16-19 years. The result showed that 63.6 percentage of respondent belonged to the weak condition. Sports activity and sex were significantly related to physical fitness. The researcher suggests that students should keep their sports activity goes on in the regular and active condition especially for female students

The Correlation between Teachers’ Personality and Students’ Motivation in Learning English

This research examined the correlation between teacher' personality and students’ motivation in learning English. The research population consisted of all second grade of SMAN 2 Enrekang. A total of 66 students were selected as sample to Stratified random method. The data collection tool was teacher personality and students’ motivation questionnaires. The indicators of teacher personality were adapted from the Minister of National Education Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 (2007) regarding standards of academic qualifications and teacher competencies and the indicators of student motivation were instrumental and integrative motivation. The expert validation was used in this research. The data analysis technique used the product moment correlation formula. The result showed the significance (2-tailed) value of the teacher personality and student motivation variables were at 0.000 < 0,05 and had a degree of relationship 0.832 (very strong correlation). This research has shown that teacher personality was correlated with students' learning motivation

A Comparative Study of Student Satisfaction Levels on Online Learning Using K-NN and Naïve Bayes

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia led to restrictions on human social activities to minimize transmission. Teaching-learning is also affected when students must stay home and follow distance learning based on Government Regulation Number 21 of 2020, the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy, issued on March 31, 2020. This has led to the emergence of learning support applications such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Google Meet, E-Learning, and many more. However, this new learning culture requires adaptation for effective implementation. During the adaptation process, researchers want to measure the level of student satisfaction and find out the best algorithm for classifying the level of student satisfaction. This measurement uses two data mining algorithms, K-Nearest Neighbour (K-NN) and Naïve Bayes, and the Islamic State University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau students as the research object. Different algorithms have varying strengths and weaknesses in handling specific data types and classification tasks. By comparing both algorithms, we can assess their generalization capabilities. A model that performs well on training data but fails to generalize to unseen data may not be as effective as a more robust algorithm that exhibits better generalization performance. K-NN classification with a value of k = 3 gets good results. Based on the study results, the conclusion is that K-NN is more optimal in classifying student satisfaction levels than Naïve Bayes with an accuracy ratio of 85% : 80%, precision of 85% : 84%, and recall of 99% : 93%

Initiatives to Prolong Aging Assets Life Cycle: A Case Study in Royal Malaysian Navy

The research represents a case study on Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) assets. Most of the assets are aging and were used more than its useful and economical life. The study demonstrates on initiatives used in maintaining and prolongs the life of aging assets in RMN. The asset life cycle stages were elaborates to allow the research of this area. The paper is based on review of literature and RMN experiences in managing aging assets. In additions, the study identifies new way of maintaining the assets for longer period without replacement. The paper also reveals that by applying these initiatives, RMN assets performance has increased and are able to be used extensively. The authors have recommended these initiatives to be the guidelines in the military and other sectors especially for logistics and transports industry in future

Pengaruh Penambahan Air Kelapa terhadap Pertumbuhan Stek Mikro Tanaman Krisan (Chrysanthemum Indicum) secara In Vitro

Langkah antisipatif pemenuhan kebutuhan massal benih krisan bermutu yang dilakukan dengan perbanyakan secara in vitro. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air kelapa terhadap stek mikro tanaman Krisan yang ditanam secara in vitro, serta perlakuan mana yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di laboratorium Botani Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN Alauddin Makassar. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu penambahan air kelapa yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan yakni 0 ml/l, 50 ml/l, 100 ml/l, dan 150 ml/l. parameter yang diamati adalah pembentukan jumlah akar, jumlah daun, tinggi planlet , dan berat planlet. Data yang diperoleh setelah dianalisa secara statistik inferensial yaitu uji F (varians) pada taraf kepercayaan α 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan air kelapa dengan konsentrasi 150 ml/ memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pembentukan jumlah daun, jumlah akar, tinggi planlet dan berat planlet

Pembuatan Keju Dengan Menggunakan Enzim Renin Mucor Pusillus Amobil

This study was aimed to understand the goog condition of temperature and pH in the cheese making with immobilized rennin enzyme from M. pusillus. Rennin from M. pusillus was produced using corn starch as substrate, incubated at 370C for 116 hours. Immobilization was conducted with entrapment method using alginate. Proteolytic and milk-clotting activities of enzyme was measured. Furthemore, the immobilized enzyme was used in the cheese production with defferent temperatures (32, 37 and 420C) and pH (5.0, 5.5 and 6.0) using Split Plot Design. It was conducted a test of pH, titratable acidity and texture for produced cheese. The result showed that the alginate matrix can be used to immobilized rennin enzyme from M. pusillus. Immobilization of rennin enxyme from M. pusillus has proteolitic activity value 0.1395 unit/ml/minute and milk-clotting activity value 6090 unit/mg protein/minute. The temperatures (32, 37 and 420C) in the cheese making using immobilized rennin enzyme M. pusillus gave a highly significant different effect (P<0,01) on texture and pH of fresh cheese. The pH (5.0, 5.5 and 6.0) gave a highly significant different effect (P<0,01) on pH and titratable acidity of fresh cheese. It is concluded that alginate can be used in the rennin enzyme immobilization. Temperature and pH gave a highly significant different effect on texture, pH and titratable acidity of fresh cheese. The temperature of 370C and pH 6.0 can be used to make a good quality cheese with immobilized rennin enzyme from M. pusilus using alginate with characters as follows : texture 1.1866 N, pH 4.94 – 5.21 and titratable acidity 1.409%
