Evolution of the dipole polarizability in the stable tin isotope chain
The dipole polarizability of stable even-mass tin isotopes
112,114,116,118,120,124 was extracted from inelastic proton scattering
experiments at 295 MeV under very forward angles performed at RCNP. Predictions
from energy density functionals cannot account for the present data and the
polarizability of 208Pb simultaneously. The evolution of the polarizabilities
in neighboring isotopes indicates a kink at 120Sn while all model results show
a nearly linear increase with mass number after inclusion of pairing
corrections.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Phys. Lett.

Timelike surfaces of constant mean curvature 1 in anti-de Sitter 3-space
It is shown that timelike surfaces of constant mean curvature 1 in anti-de
Sitter 3-space can be constructed from a pair of Lorentz holomorphic and
Lorentz antiholomorphic null curves in PSL(2,R) via Bryant type representation
formulae. These formulae are used to investigate an explicit one-to-one
correspondence, the so-called Lawson correspondence, between timelike surfaces
of constant mean curvature 1 in anti-de Sitter 3-space and timelike minimal
surfaces in Minkowski 3-space. The hyperbolic Gauss map of timelike surfaces in
anti-de Sitter 3-space, which is a close analogue of the classical Gauss map is
considered. It is discussed that the hyperbolic Gauss map plays an important
role in the study of timelike surfaces of constant mean curvature 1 in anti-de
Sitter 3-space. In particular, the relationship between the Lorentz
holomorphicity of the hyperbolic Gauss map and timelike surfaces of constant
mean curvature 1 in anti-de Sitter 3-space is studied.Comment: 47 pages, 24 figures, references revised, Annals of Global Analysis

Effects of platelet rich plasma (PRP) on human gingival fibroblast, osteoblast and periodontal ligament cell behaviour
The use of platelet rich plasma (PRP, GLO) has been used as an adjunct to various regenerative dental procedures. The aim of the present study was to characterize the influence of PRP on human gingival fibroblasts, periodontal ligament (PDL) cells and osteoblast cell behavior in vitro
Spin dependence in the -wave resonance of
We measured the spin dependence in a neutron-induced -wave resonance by
using a polarized epithermal neutron beam and a polarized nuclear target. Our
study focuses on the 0.75~eV -wave resonance state of La+, where
largely enhanced parity violation has been observed. We determined the partial
neutron width of the -wave resonance by measuring the spin dependence of the
neutron absorption cross section between polarized and
polarized neutrons. Our findings serve as a foundation for the quantitative
study of the enhancement effect of the discrete symmetry violations caused by
mixing between partial amplitudes in the compound nuclei
Search for the decay
We performed a search for the decay with the
E391a detector at KEK. In the data accumulated in 2005, no event was observed
in the signal region. Based on the assumption of
proceeding via parity-violation, we obtained the single event sensitivity to be
, and set an upper limit on the branching ratio to
be at the 90% confidence level. This is a factor of 3.2
improvement compared to the previous results. The results of proceeding via parity-conservation were also presented in this paper
Experimental study of the decay
The first dedicated search for the rare neutral-kaon decay
has been carried out in the E391a experiment at the
KEK 12-GeV proton synchrotron. The final upper limit of 2.6 at
the 90% confidence level was set on the branching ratio for the decay.Comment: 23 pages, 27 figures, accepted for publication as a regular article
