Las lecturas de Don Pedro de Granada Venegas, I Marqués de Campotéjar (1559-1643)

A partir de documentación notarial, en este artículo se estudia la figura de Don Pedro de Granada Venegas (1559-1643), I Marqués de Campotéjar, desde una doble perspectiva: como militar y cortesano al servicio de la monarquía española, y como dueño de una notable y variada biblioteca -manuscritos e impresos- que formó a lo largo de su vida. Se trata de una biblioteca que sobrepasa en número de libros la media de los poseídos por la nobleza madrileña de entre 1626 y 1650. Su inventario nos permite un mejor conocimiento de la persona del Marqués de Campotéjar y de sus inquietudes intelectuales.The present paper studies two aspects of the figure of Don Pedro de Granada Venegas (1559-1643), 1st Marquis of Campotéjar: firstly, that of soldier and courtier in the service of the Spanish Monarchy and, secondly, as owner of an important and varied library, containing manuscripts and printed matter, which he built up during his lifetime. The number of books contained in his library was larger than that of the average library among the nobility in Madrid between 1626 and 1650. La Edad del Cobre en las tierras de Antequera (Málaga): introducción a los patrones de asentamiento y dinámicas sociales

Antequera (Málaga) is home to one of the most important Neolithic and Copper Age megalithic landscapes in Europe, as proven by its recent declaration as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in July 15th 2016. This declaration highlights the need to push ahead in the research of the Neolithic and Copper Age periods, when the megalithic phenomenon developed and the three large Antequera megaliths, Menga, Viera and El Romeral, were built. In this paper, stemming from an on-going research project, we present a synthesis of the evidence available for the study of the Copper Age settlement patterns and social dynamics in the Lands of Antequera. Departing from a comprehensive review of the existing literature an assessment is made of the settlement patterns, subsistence economy, exploitation and exchange of abiotic resources, monumentality and burial practices of this time period. The aim is to formulate a preliminary framework of analysis of the cultural and social context in which the construction of El Romeral, the largest tholos monument known in Iberia, took place.Antequera (Málaga) alberga uno de los más importantes paisajes megalíticos del Neolítico y la Edad del Cobre en Europa, como lo demuestra su reciente declaración como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO el 15 de julio de 2016. Esta declaración pone el foco en la necesidad de avanzar en la investigación de los periodos Neolítico y Edad del Cobre, en los que se produce el apogeo del fenómeno megalítico y en cuyo contexto se construyen los tres grandes megalitos antequeranos, Menga, Viera y El Romeral. En este artículo, que deriva de un proyecto de investigación actualmente en curso, se presenta una síntesis de los datos disponibles para el conocimiento de las pautas de asentamiento y las dinámicas sociales de la Edad del Cobre en Tierras de Antequera. Partiendo de una exhaustiva síntesis de la literatura existente, se realiza un ensayo de valoración de los patrones de asentamiento, la economía subsistencial, la explotación e intercambio de recursos abióticos, la monumentalidad y las prácticas funerarias en este periodo. Con ello se persigue formular un marco preliminar de análisis del contexto cultural y social en el que se dio la construcción de El Romeral, el mayor “tholos” conocido en Iberia

Dosimetry with gafchromic films based on a new micro-opto-electro-mechanical system

This work presents the first tests performed with radiochromic films and a new Micro‒Opto‒Electro-Mechanical system (MOEMS) for in situ dosimetry evaluation in radiotherapy in real time. We present a new device and methodology that overcomes the traditional limitation of time-delay in radiochromic film analysis by turning a passive detector into an active sensor. The proposed system consists mainly of an optical sensor based on light emitting diodes and photodetectors controlled by both customized electronic circuit and graphical user interface, which enables optical measurements directly. We show the first trials performed in a low‒energy proton cyclotron with this MOEMS by using gafchromic EBT3 films. Results show the feasibility of using this system for in situ dose evaluations. Further adaptation is ongoing to develop a full real‒time active detector by integrating MOEM multi‒arrays and films in flexible printed circuits. Hence, we point to improve the clinical application of radiochromic films with the aim to optimize radiotherapy treatment verifications

Efficiency and productivity in sport as an indicator of territorial development: The case of the spanish autonomous communities (2011-2018)

El presente artículo analiza la relación existente entre deporte y desarrollo territorial. A partir de un análisis envolvente de datos (DEA), del cálculo del índice de Malmquist y de un modelo de regresión Tobit, con el uso de variables de inversión, competitividad y éxitos deportivos, se quiere ahondar en el conocimiento de este binomio para el caso concreto de las comunidades autónomas españolas para 2011, 2015 y 2018, primero y último del que se disponen de datos, además del año intermedio. Los principales resultados muestran unas diferencias y especificidades territoriales importantes en el deporte de España y refuerzan la estrecha relación antes comentada.This article analyzes the relationship between sport and territorial development. From a Data envelopment analysis (DEA), the Malmquist index and a Tobit regression model, with the use of investment, competitiveness and sports success variables, we want to delve into the knowledge of this binomial for the specific case of the Spanish Autonomous Communities for 2011, 2015 and 2018, first and last year for which data is available, and an intermediate year. The main results show important territorial differences and specificities in sport in Spain and reinforce the close relationship mentioned above.Universidad Pablo de Olavid
