EL EMPODERAMIENTO PSICOLÓGICO ANTE LA VIOLENCIA DE GÉNERO MEDIANTE UN TALLER E INFOGRAFÍAS: HISTORIAS DE MUJERES QUE ASISTEN A LA ASOCIACIÓN CIVIL “TEJIENDO UN SUEÑO” EN SAN MARTÍN DE LAS PIRÁMIDES, ESTADO DE MÉXICO

La violencia de género es uno de los principales problemas en el mundo, ésta se expresa de diferentes formas y en diversos espacios generando una de las principales causas de desigualdades de las que las mujeres son sus principales afectadas. Este fenómeno contiene un carácter estructural que genera repercusiones múltiples y variadas en la vida de las mujeres; dicho carácter estructural hace que la violencia de género tenga características particulares vinculadas a los entornos específicos en los que se hace presente. Uno de los espacios donde la violencia de género genera consecuencias profundas y sustanciales es la que aparece al interior de los espacios domésticos, dado su carácter de privacidad e intimidad, la violencia puede tornarse difícil a ser identificada y desarticulada, dentro de los hogares, la violencia de pareja resalta dicha complejidad. Aunque se ha abierto un panorama y más información al respecto, es claro que aún hay huecos grandes que mantienen éste, como un problema social de alto impacto. Las mujeres que dentro de sus vidas atraviesan o han atravesado por relaciones de pareja violentas se enfrentan a un complejo y, en ocasiones, largo transitar hasta lograr salir de las mismas, donde, algunas veces esto no se llega a concretar. Existen detonadores que pueden contribuir a disparar una serie de movilizaciones por parte de las mujeres con la finalidad de poner fin a las relaciones de violencia, entre ellos, cuando ven amenazadas sus vidas y/o las de sus hijas e hijos; esto genera el emprendimiento de acciones y la búsqueda de recursos como medios que les posibiliten abandonar a sus parejas buscando mejorar sus oportunidades de desarrollo y las de sus seres queridos. Con la finalidad de realizar una problematización desde una visión de género, que contextualice de manera apropiada la intervención planteada, el primer apartado del presente trabajo expone la problemática de género identificada en el contexto particular de intervención, los objetivos planteados, así como la justificación que sustenta las intervenciones aquí propuestas

Analysis and Scenario Planning for Fairland and Briggs Chaney, Maryland

Through the Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability (PALS), our class partnered with Montgomery County’s Planning Department to provide a planning sector analysis and scenario plans to aid in the development of the new Fairland and Briggs Chaney Master Plan, which is organized and guided by the draft general plan for the county, Thrive Montgomery 2050. The scope of work included analysis of existing conditions within the plan boundaries and the provision of three scenario plans ranging from no change to high levels of change. We concentrated our attention within three thematic areas of emphasis: climate change adaptation and mitigation, economic and community development, and housing. Moreover, our central guiding principle for this project was justice; it informs everything we present here, and we hope that our work will contribute to its achievement. The report is organized into two major parts. In part I, in analysis of existing conditions, we cover a wide range of planning topics, including the history of the plan-area and special considerations related to our thematic areas of emphasis. Prácticas de comportamiento seguro en la industria del aserrío de El Salto, Durango, México

Los trabajadores de la industria del aserrío de El Salto, Durango, México, están expuestos a diferente riesgos; sin embargo, éstos no se han evaluado para determinar el nivel de seguridad. El objetivo de este estudio fue conocer las prácticas de comportamiento seguro de los trabajadores en los puestos de trabajo de 11 aserraderos. Para esto, se realizaron observaciones directas sobre actos seguros e inseguros aplicando dos listas de verificación, la primera, sobre el uso de equipo de protección personal (EPP) y la segunda, sobre las condiciones de seguridad del puesto de trabajo generadas a partir de la normatividad en seguridad y salud en el trabajo. Con esta información se determinó el porcentaje de comportamiento seguro y gráficos de control de seguridad; adicionalmente, se elaboraron tablas de contingencia y pruebas de asociación entre variables categóricas de Chi-cuadrado. Los resultados mostraron que las prácticas de comportamiento seguro del trabajador forestal son muy bajas pues en el uso de EPP alcanzaron apenas un 31 %, donde los guantes para protección de las manos fue el equipo de mayor uso y los dispositivos para protección respiratoria y contra el ruido los menos utilizados; mientras que las condiciones de seguridad en los puestos de trabajo también resultaron muy bajas con un 36 %, donde la señalización del área de trabajo, la disponibilidad de extintores y la protección de maquinaria resultaron ser los aspectos más críticos. Es importante cambiar el comportamiento inseguro de la planta laboral para minimizar la posibilidad de lesiones y accidentes

University of Maryland, College Park.Maryland’s MyCoast Program is a strategic effort to anticipate and assess the impacts of flooding events across the state. MyCoast is a National program with the mission to document tides, storm damage, beach cleanups, nuisance flooding and more to allow decision makers, emergency managers, and others to use public reports to make better decisions. MyCoast: Maryland, “is a portal to collect and analyze pictures and data relating to flooding caused by precipitation or coastal events. In Maryland, this is a project supervised by the Chesapeake & Coastal Service and Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). To enhance this project’s reach in relevant locales, we set out to discern which communities in the state are most at risk for negative flooding effects. Preparation and in vitro evaluation of 177Lu-iPSMA-RGD as a new heterobivalent radiopharmaceutical

This study aimed to synthesize a new 177Lu-iPSMA-RGD heterobivalent radiopharmaceutical, as well as to assess the in vitro radiopharmaceutical potential to target cancer cells overexpressing PSMA and a(v) b(3) integrins. The radiotracer prepared with a radiochemical purity of 98.8 ± 1.0% showed stability in human serum, specific recognition with suitable affinity to PSMA and a(v)b(3) integrins, and capability to inhibit cancer cell proliferation and VEGF signaling (antiangiogenic effect). Results warrant further preclinical studies to establish the 177Lu-iPSMA-RGD potential as a dual therapeutic radiopharmaceutical.CONACyT-CB-2016-01-28152

Análisis postural del trabajador forestal en aserraderos de El Salto, Durango, México

The work in the sawmill industry is physically demanding because it is performed under unhealthy body postures that generate musculoskeletal injuries and its study requires risk assessment tools to identify the most serious. In the sawmills of El Salto, Durango, Mexico, the level of risk of the work positions in people is unknown; therefore, the objective of this study was to perform a postural analysis in 15 workplaces. From 7.5 hours of video that considered effective work in the workplace, 900 still images were obtained at 30-second intervals to analyze them using the OWAS method. The global index of postural risk was estimated and contingency tables and association tests between categorical variables of chi square were elaborated. The results showed a frequency of postures of 48% with risk levels 2, 3 and 4, indicating actions for postural correction for risks 2 and 3 as well as immediate modifications for the 4. The global risk index was established at 166 points cataloged as minimum. By workplace, the workers in the manual logs handling and manual stacking and carriage of lumber are the most susceptible to present injuries with global risk indexes above 200 points. By body area, 43% of the positions of the back and 40% of the legs are in a level risk 2 considered as not harmful, and 100% of the positions of the arms resulted with a level risk 1 not requiring any modification.El trabajo en la industria del aserrío es físicamente exigente porque se realiza bajo posturas corporales poco saludables que generan lesiones musculoesqueléticas y su estudio requiere de herramientas de evaluación de riesgos para identificarlas adecuadamente. En los aserraderos de El Salto, Durango, México se desconoce el nivel de riesgo de las posturas de trabajo en las personas, por lo que el objetivo de este estudio fue realizar un análisis postural en 15 puestos de trabajo. A partir de 7.5 h de video, que consideraron el trabajo efectivo en los puestos laborales, se obtuvieron 900 imágenes fijas a intervalos de 30 segundos para analizarlas mediante el método OWAS. Se estimó el índice global de riesgo postural y se elaboraron tablas de contingencia y pruebas de asociación entre variables categóricas de Chi-cuadrado. Los resultados mostraron una frecuencia de posturas de 48% con nivel de riesgo 2, 3 y 4, indicando realizar acciones de corrección postural para los riesgos 2 y 3 así como modificaciones inmediatas para el 4. El índice global de riesgo se estableció en 166 puntos catalogado como mínimo. Por puesto de trabajo, los topadores y volteadores son los más susceptibles de presentar lesiones musculoesqueléticas con índices globales de riesgo por encima de los 200 puntos. Por zona corporal, 43% de las posiciones de la espalda y 40% de las piernas se encuentran en un nivel de riesgo 2, considerado como poco dañino, y 100% de las posiciones de los brazos resultaron con un nivel de riesgo 1 que no requiere modificación alguna

De qué manera pueden afectar las epilepsias en el aprendizaje de los escolares

Tesis (Psicopedagogo, Licenciado en Educación)El Seminario de Grado consiste en una investigación que buscar saber de qué manera pueden afectar las epilepsias en el aprendizaje de las personas que padecen este desorden neurológico crónico, ya que al profundizar en- los aspectos de las epilepsias se generará un conocimiento social y personal sobre este tema, considerando este último punto de gran relevancia para la profesión de psicopedagogía. El propósito del estudio consiste en realizar una investigación bibliográfica, con el fin de identificar desde el ámbito psicopedagógico, la relación antes mencionada y de esta manera reconocer los procesos cognitivos y áreas instrumentales que se pueden ver afectados en pacientes que presenten este síndrome, permitiendo así abrir un nuevo camino para la intervención psicopedagógica, dado que se posee un conocimiento sobre los tipos de epilepsias, crisis y diferentes tratamientos. Desde la perspectiva anterior se pretenden abordar distintas estrategias para consolidar las posibles dificultades de aprendizajes y potenciar las habilidades que el sujeto posee

Goat kid meat in the formulation of Vienna-type sausage

Objective: to evaluate the substitution of pork meat with goat kid meat in the formulation of Vienna-type sausage. Design/methodology/approach: Randomized complete block design of three treatments were used for substitute of pork meat with goat kid meat: control sausage with 100% pork meat (SC1), sausage with 50% of pork meat and 50% of goat kid meat (SC2) and sausage with 100% of goat kid meat (SC3). The physicochemical variables (cooking loss (CL), pH, color, water holding capacity (WHC), proximate composition), textural profile and sensory characteristics were measurement to evaluate of treatments.   Results: The CL of sausages did not have difference (P > 0.05). The pH and WHC increased (P < 0.05) for SC3, but their lightness decreased (P < 0.05) and increased (P < 0.05) the yellowness. Redness was similar (P > 0.05) between sausages. The moisture, fat, protein, carbohydrate and ash contents improved (P < 0.05) for SC2. Hardness, cohesiveness, chewiness, gumminess and resilience increased (P < 0.05) for SC2 and SC3. The sensory evaluation of the three treatments were accepted by the consumers.   Limitations on study/implications: 100% of goat kid meat in the formulation did not improve physicochemical variables due to increased CL, WHC, b*, carbohydrates and hardness, and decreased L*. Findings/conclusions: The goat kid meat can be used at 50% for the formulation of Vienna-type sausages.
