The development of the dissertation pretends to give a vision about the use of drones within the construction, mainly in the application within the BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflow. For this reason, the reader is introduced in historical and conceptual records exposing, after all, the regulations that fall on said aircraft. In this way we will know the limitations within the airspace. Also, the different applications that may have within the building and which of them are useful, in terms of information, in BIM methodology are mentioned. For this reason, it has been done the survey of the Gordejuela Water’s Elevator located on the island of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands) through the information obtained with a RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System). With this, we will know the fundamental parameters to plan a flight, obtain useful information, how to receive it and manage it in a BIM software. However, previously we will do a familiarization flight of the drone doing the photogrammetric survey of the Abades’ Sanatorium located in the Arico’s Leprosarium. In summary, the objective of the work is that this document serves as a practical guide about the use of drones in obtaining information that can be transferred in BIM and analyse the possible future applications on the use of remotely piloted aircraft in said methodology

Smart Farming Controlling Sprinkler System in The Net House by Using Internet of Things (IoT)

Most of the farming centre in Sarawak, either in small scale or big scale activity, they are still using the manual way to water their crops. To be specific, the net house will use the water hose to water them and manually open the water tap and sprinkle them on the crop. This way consume time if they are working on a large many area of net house. The aim of this project is to solve the farmers problem in watering their crops in the net house. In the era of technology, everything can be solved from our fingertips without wasting and using our energy. The expectation in the end of this project is to expose to every farming centre the possibilities of becoming “Smart Farming Centre” and can contribute to community wellbeing in managing their crops and improving the productivity

Differential Impairment of Lytic and Cytokine Functions in Senescent Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1-Specific Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes

Telomere length is abnormally short in the CD8(+) T-cell compartment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1)-infected persons, likely because of chronic cell turnover. Although clonal exhaustion of CD8(+) cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) has been proposed as a mechanism for loss of antigen-specific responses, the functional consequences of exhaustion are poorly understood. Here we used telomerase transduction to evaluate the impact of senescence on CTL effector functions. Constitutive expression of telomerase in an HIV-1-specific CTL clone results in enhanced proliferative capacity, in agreement with prior studies of other human cell types. Whereas the CTL remain phenotypically normal in terms of antigenic specificity and requirements for proliferation, their cytolytic and antiviral capabilities are superior to those of control CTL. In contrast, their ability to produce gamma interferon and RANTES is essentially unchanged. The selective enhancement of cytolytic function in memory CTL by ectopic telomerase expression implies that loss of this function (but not cytokine production) is a specific consequence of replicative senescence. These data suggest a unifying mechanism for the in vivo observations that telomere lengths are shortened in the CD8(+) cells of HIV-1-infected persons and that HIV-1-specific CTL are deficient in perforin. Telomerase transduction could therefore be a tool with which to explore a potential therapeutic approach to an important pathophysiologic process of immune dysfunction in chronic viral infection

Impacts of Epitope Expression Kinetics and Class I Downregulation on the Antiviral Activity of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1-Specific Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes

The determinants of CD8(+) cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) antiviral activity against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) remain poorly defined. Although recent technological advances have markedly enhanced the ability to detect HIV-1-specific T cells, commonly used assays do not reveal their direct interaction with virus. We investigated two determinants of CTL antiviral efficiency by manipulating HIV-1 and measuring the effects on CTL suppression of viral replication in acutely infected cells. Translocation of a Gag epitope into the early protein Nef markedly increased the activity of CTL recognizing that epitope, in comparison to HIV-1 expressing the epitope normally in the late protein Gag. Because this epitope translocation resulted not only in earlier expression but also in loss of major histocompatibility complex class I downregulation by Nef, the activities of CTL against a panel of viral constructs differing in kinetics of epitope expression and class I downmodulation were compared. The results indicated that both the timing of epitope expression and the reduction of class I have profound effects on the ability of CTL to suppress HIV-1 replication in acutely infected cells. The epitope targeting of CTL and viral control of class I therefore likely play important roles in the ability of CTL to exert pressure on HIV-1
