MEDIA KOMIK SEBAGAI SARANA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS
Abstrak. Media komik sudah sangat umum ditemukan dalam keseharian, tetapi penggunaan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis perlulah dilakukan sebuah kajian atau pengamatan kembali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mana dasar pemikiran digunakannya metode ini adalah karena penelitian ini ingin mengetahui tentang fenomena yang ada dan dalam kondisi yang alamiah, bukan dalam kondisi terkendali, labolatoris atau eksperimen. Media komik memiliki kekhasan tersendiri yaitu dengan dipadukannya gambar untuk memberikan tambahan atau keterangan dalam menjelaskan isi cerita. Hal ini membuat kegiatan menulis menjadi lebih menyenangkan karena sudah dibantu dengan adanya tambahan gambar didalamnya. Penggunaan gambar dalam komik bisa digunakan sebagai membantu untuk mengembangkan imajinasi dalam menghasilkan sebuah tulisan. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dalam data yang ditemukan bahwa kemampuan siswa menulis karangan mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I hanya 17 siswa (53,12%) yang tuntas dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 27 siswa (84,37%) tuntas. Kata kunci : Komik, MenulisAbstract. Comic media is very common in day life, but its use in improving writing skills requires a study or re-observation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method in which the rationale for using this method is because this research wants to know about existing phenomena and in natural conditions, not in controlled, metabolic or experimental conditions. Comic media has its own uniqueness, namely the combination of images to provide additional or information in explaining the content of the story. This makes writing more enjoyable because it has been helped by the addition of pictures in it. The use of images in comics can be used to help develop imagination in producing writing. This is also proven in the data found that the ability of students to write essays has increased from the first cycle only 17 students (53.12%) completed and in the second cycle increased to 27 students (84.37%) completed. Keywords: Comic, Writing
PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS ESSAI MELALUI MEDIA MASSA SURAT KABAR DALAM PEMBENTUKAN BERPIKIR KRITIS
Writing skills are the skills with the highest level of difficulty for learners compared to the other three skills. Writing activity is a form of manifestation of language skills and abilities that are most recently mastered by language learners after listening, speaking, and reading skills. The ability to write essays is an important and strategic skill for students. Through an essay it allows students to make a positive contribution to problems that occur in society, among others, by pouring out bright ideas as outlined in essay writing. Essays can also foster a critical and creative spirit in students without causing anarchist actions as is often the case among students when conveying aspirations to other parties. At the student level, critical thinking formation can be done by writing essays. Because by writing an essay, students will be asked to give their views on a problem. When they understand a problem well and are able to analyze it, they have given an idea or idea about a problem or issue that is being discussed. The student level is the level where they have matured in thinking and are able to properly absorb various issues or problem topics that exist around them. Newspaper mass media with a diverse scope of discussion and lies in its ability to present news and ideas about the development of society in general, which can affect modern life as it is today. In addition, newspapers are able to convey something at any time to their readers through educational newspapers, information and interpretations of several things, so that most of the community depends. Based on this, the newspaper mass media can be an alternative media in writing essays
MENULIS KARANGAN NARASI SEBAGAI WADAH MENGEMBANGKAN BERPIKIR KREATIF
Writing skills are indirect communication activities or often called nonverbal communication tools, writing has the same meaning as composing, such as writing narrative essays. Wiriting activities require a process of thinking and imagining to be able to convey what is meant to the reader. The activity of writing narrative essays has become a topic of discussion in Indonesian subjects to be studied and is useful for developing writing skills. Narrative essays whose sources of development are through things that are closely related to every day life encountered in yhe surrounding environment can provide many ideas for developing them into writing. Creative ability is generally understood as creativity. Often, the individual who is considered creative is a genuinely good synthetic thinker who builds connections between things that other people don’t notice spontaneously. A creative attitude is at least as important as creative thinking skills. Creativity is relative. This study uses a qualitative research approach where qualitative research as a scientific method is often used and carried out by a group of researchers in the social sciences, including education sciences. Museum Digital Ulos Berbasis Android
Museum is an educational institution where tangible (fossils, artifacts) and intangible (values, traditions, norms) are displayed. The museum in Medan has various range of but there has been no inventory of the Ulos as a Bataknese traditional ethnic cloth yet as one of the cultural identities of native people in North Sumatera, Indonesia. By using Android platform, this study aims to analyze and explain various patterns and motifs of the Batak Ulos in 6 (six) regencies: Karo, Pak-pak, Simalungun, Toba Samosir, Tapanuli, and Mandailing. The problems were (1) designing a digital Ulos museum using Android software, (2) describing and explaining the various motifs of Ulos representating each region, and (3) explaining noble values contained in Ulos. Therefore, people nowadays can safe time and distance as well as easily find information about the use, the meaning, and the function of each Ulos. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis Design - Development - Implement - Evaluate) method. The results of this study are in the form of an android-based application that can be distributed offline to students, teachers, and the general public. In the future, this research is expected to develop applications that can be accessed online through various Playstores
Peran Media Animasi Gambar dan Metode Debat Aktif dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berargumentasi
Dari hasil observasi penelitian, penulis melihat masalah kemampuan berargumentasi siswa masih kurang efektif, kurangnya kemampuan berargumentasi disebabkan ketika pembelajaran terlalu didominasi oleh guru dan tidak memberikan akses bagi anak didik untuk berkembang secara mandiri melalui penemuan dalam proses berpikirnya, siswa hanya diam dan tidak berani memberikan argumentasinya terhadap materi yang diberikan. Siswa hanya mendengarkan saja apa yang disampaikan oleh guru tanpa mengetahui makna dari materi yang disampaikan. Oleh karena itu, penulis mencoba melakukan upaya untuk menciptakan proses belajar mengajar yang lebih efektif dengan menerapkan metode debat aktif menggunakan media animasi gambar. Penelitian ini mengggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dimana penelitian kualitatif sebagai metode ilmiah sering digunakan dan dilaksanakan oleh sekelompok peneliti dalam bidang ilmu sosial, termasuk juga ilmu pendidikan. Penelitian kualitatif dilakukan pada kondisi alamiah dan bersifat penemuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil kemampuan berargumentasi siswa sebesar 65% dalam kategori cukup. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan metode debat aktif menggunakan media animasi gambar cukup dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berargumentasi siswa
UPAYA GURU DALAM MENGATASI KESULITAN MEMBACA, MENULIS, DAN MENGHITUNG (STUDI KASUS PADA SDN KUTA PASIE KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR)
Teachers are the most important component in the world of education and occupy a respectable place in society. Teachers have a very big influence on changes in the behavior of their students. Reading, writing and calculating are skills that must be owned and mastered globally. Based on the results of observations made at SDN Kuta Pasie, information was obtained that there were students who had difficulty reading, writing and calculating. The purpose of this study was to analyze the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming reading, writing and arithmetic difficulties, and to analyze the obstacles faced in efforts to deal with reading, writing and numeracy difficulties at SDN Kuta Pasie. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) Efforts made by teachers in overcoming difficulties in reading, writing and arithmetic are all educators who are graduates, learning programs according to the applicable curriculum, conducting initial tests for new students, conducting class workshops, carrying out activities Ramadan reading at the beginning of the fasting month, learning to read using the phonics method, collaborating with parents of students, and providing motivation to learn and encouragement to study enthusiasm for students. (2) The obstacles experienced by teachers are the lack of support and cooperation from parents of students, students who have difficulty reading, writing and calculating tend to be lazy to study, low student memory, unstable student psychology, and limitations of schools in providing supportive media in the process of learning to read, write and count
Potensi Pasar Modal Syariah setelah Pandemic Covid 19: Studi Literatur
Bencana multifaset terkait pandemi Covid-19 yang tiba-tiba datang telah menunjukkan kerentanan suatu bangsa di sejumlah bidang. Pandemi ini, misalnya, menunjukkan betapa buruknya perkembangan dan penyebaran fasilitas kesehatan di banyak negara, termasuk Amerika Serikat dan Italia, yang sebelumnya dianggap memiliki infrastruktur kesehatan masyarakat yang relatif berkembang. Isu ekonomi terkait pandemi Covid-19 telah berkembang sedemikian rupa hingga menyebabkan perlambatan ekonomi dunia. Organisasi keuangan global memperkirakan bahwa epidemi Covid-19 akan mengakibatkan resesi -2,0% hingga 2,8% pada ekonomi global pada tahun 2020, turun dari pertumbuhan rata-rata sebesar 2,9% pada tahun 2019. Selain itu, diprediksi pandemi Covid-19 untuk menghasilkan penurunan 30% dalam arus perdagangan dan investasi global serta peningkatan volatilitas pasar sebesar 215%. Operasional pasar modal di Indonesia selama periode pandemi dan pasca pandemi akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Karena penelitian ini tidak menguji hipotesis atau membuat prediksi, penelitian ini hanya menceritakan kejadian atau peristiwa tanpa berusaha menemukan atau menjelaskan korelasi di antara keduanya. Oleh karena itu, ia menggunakan metodologi kualitatif. Berdasarkan temuan riset tersebut, Pasar Modal Indonesia pada tahun 2021 memiliki kinerja yang stabil dan positif, antara lain dibuktikan dengan stabilitas pasar, aktivitas perdagangan, jumlah penghimpunan dana, dan peningkatan jumlah investor ritel yang mencapai puncaknya pada rekor tinggi
KEBERAGAMAN JENIS ULOS DALAM KAJIAN VISUAL DIGITAL DI ERA MILENIAL
ABSTRACTThis research uses descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach is to summarize the inventory of traditional fabrics in the North Sumatra Region or what is called ulos in the Batak Toba entik, uis in Batak Karo, smear in Batak Pakpak, hiou in Batak Malungun, ulos in Batak Mandailing, ulos / abit godang / abit Batak in Batak Angkola. This study aims to determine the inventory or assets of ulos owned by 6 (six) regions respectively and then the ulos cloth is digitized in the form of image format (jpeg). Then visualized in a phenomenological approach to find out the motives, patterns and types and of each of these ulos according to their functions and uses in family, community and government life. The pattern or motif on the ulos cloth does not only appear as decoration on the cloth but also has a visual stylization of biodiversity and animals associated with its function. The colors that are owned by ulos, hious, rubbing, and uis are a description of the representatives of the user or wearer, both status in the family environment, status in society or customary events and official government events. The various types of ulos cloth have different uses and functions in each region according to their designation. The functions and uses of this ulos can be interpreted in various forms according to the type of each ulos. Its use and function can be symbolized as prayer, hope, joy and joy, grief (death / mourning), respect, status in society, as well as caste (level in society) and is used as a symbol of grief (death). KONTRIBUSI FILM PENDEK FABEL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI ANAK-ANAK
Cerita binatang (fabel) adalah salah bentuk cerita tradisional yang menampilkan binatang sebagai tokoh cerita. Binatang-binatang tersebut dapat berpikir dan berinteraksi layaknya komunitas manusia, juga dengan permasalahan hidup layaknya manusia. Mereka dapat berpikir, berlogika, berperasaan, berbicara, bersikap, bertingkah laku, dan lain-lain sebagaimana halnya manusia dengan bahasa manusia. Cerita binatang (fabel) sangat erat kaitannya dengan anak-anak. dalam hal ini, cerita fabel disandingkan dalam menuliskan puisi anak-anak. Dilihat dari segi pendayaan berbagai bentuk ungkapan kebahasaan, puisi anak tentunya masih lebih sederhana. Kesederhanaan itu haruslah dilihat dari segi unsur diksi, struktur, ungkapan dan kemungkinan pemaknaan. Namun, dilihat dari segi “permainan†bahasa, puisi anak terlihat lebih intensif. Hal ini terlihat dari pengutamaan pemunculan aspek rima dan irama atau berbagai bentuk pengulangan yang lain. Intensitas dalam hal pendayaan unsur rima dan irama inilah yang masih dominan dalam puisi anak. permasalahn yang diangkat dalam penelitian adalah apakah film pendek fabel dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi anak-anak. subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi PGMI, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi film pendek fabel terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi anak-anak. Peningkatan kualitas hasil belajar mahasiswa ini terbukti dari peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 60 berkategori kurang dan pada skor postest memiliki rata-rata sebesar 76 berkategori cukup
PENGEMBANGAN METODE SAS DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA
Membaca permulaan merupakan tahapan proses belajar membaca bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas awal. Siswa belajar untuk memperoleh kemampuan dan menguasai teknik-teknik membaca dan menangkap isi bacaan dengan baik. Kegiatan membaca permulaan dimulai dari taman kanak-kanak atau sekolah dasar tingkat awal. Pelajaran membaca dan menulis di kelas-kelas awal disebut pelajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan. Pentingnya membaca permulaan di kelas I adalah agar siswa dapat membaca kata-kata dan kalimat sederhana dengan lancar dan tepat. Metode SAS merupakan metode yang tepat dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa. Dalam proses operasionalnya, metode SAS mempunyai langkah-langkah dengan urutan sebagai berikut : (a) strukutur, menampilkan keseluruhan, (b) analisis, melakukan proses penguraian, (c) sintesis, melakukan penggabungan kembali pada struktur semula. Adapun langkah-langkah pengembangan metode SAS dalam keterampilan membaca permulaan yaitu : (1) Membagi kalimat menjadi beberapa kata; (2) Membagi kata menjadi beberapa suku kata: (3) Membagi suku kata menjadi bunyi huruf; (4) Menggabungkan bunyi-bunyi huruf menjadi suku kata; (5) Menggabungkan bunyi suku kata menjadi kata
