Study on compressing principle of the fresh municipal solid waste

    Get PDF
Compression garbage trucks mainly work on fresh municipal solid waste (MSW), while fresh MSW has complex composition, high compressibility, high water content. Less research has been done about fresh MSW. Its uncertain mechanical property limits the simulation of garbage compression process, thereby limits the compressor structure analysis and optimization for compression garbage trucks. In order to obtain the mechanical properties of fresh MSW, a special test device combining the direct shear test with the confined compression test was designed, manufactured and assembled. A total fifteen tests from four batches fresh MSW were conducted with the special test devices. And the Duncan-Chang constitutive model parameters by summarizing and organizing test data. Finally, the confined compression test was simulated with the constitutive model, and the constitutive model parameters was verified. The research provides a basis for the simulation of garbage compression process of the compression garbage truck

Calculation for Hard Measured Loads on the Travelling Mechanism of Bridge Inspection Vehicle

    No full text
In allusion to the recently problem of some loads to be calculated and hard measured of travel mechanism of bridge inspection vehicle, based on the principle of superposition in the elastic mechanics, the FEA simulation and test methods have been used to research the hard-measured loads on the travel mechanism of bridge inspection vehicle. The calculation case of the driving force in the driving case and the side load in the turning case of traveling mechanism of bridge inspection vehicle have been solved with this method, the results are used to be applied reference for the property optimization and model selection of mechanical bearing inside of travel mechanism of the bridge inspection vehicle. The research method is of well-reference value for the calculation of the unknown loads of whole machine and parts of construction machinery

Study on Stress Analysis and Welding Deformation of the Loader Boom

    No full text
This paper takes the 5T loader boom as the research object. Firstly, the static analysis of the boom loader is carried out under the typical working conditions. The weak part of the welding seam is found, and then the welding deformation of the boom is analyzed for the weak welding part. Further, the deformation trends of the welding arm are studied. It is found that the weak part of the welding seam is at the welding arc of the boom plate and the beam. Besides, the deformation of the arm plate is about 30mm inward in the welding process due to the welding stress, and the residual stress of the boom. This work can provide theoretical and data support for the processing and deformation correction of the boom

Patients with Asian-type DEL can safely be transfused using RhD-positive blood

Red blood cells (RBCs) of the Asian-type DEL phenotype express few RhD proteins and are typed as serologic RhD-negative (D-) in routine testing. RhD-positive (D+) RBC transfusion for Asian-type DEL patients has been proposed but has not been generally adopted due to a lack of direct evidence regarding its safety and underlying mechanism. We performed a single-arm multicenter clinical trial to document the outcome of D+ RBC transfusion in Asian-type DEL patients; none of the recipients (0/42; 95% confidence interval, 0%-8.40%) developed alloanti-D after a median follow-up of 226 days. We conducted a large retrospective study to detect alloanti-D immunization in 4,045 serologic D- pregnant women throughout China; alloanti-D was found only in true D- individuals (2.63%, 79/3,009), but not in those with Asian-type DEL (0/1,032). We further retrospectively examined 127 serologic D- pregnant women who had developed alloanti-D and found none with Asian-type DEL (0/127). Finally, we analyzed RHD transcripts from Asian-type DEL erythroblasts and examined antigen epitopes expressed by various RHD transcripts in vitro, finding a low abundance of full-length RHD transcripts (0.18% of the total) expressing RhD antigens carrying the entire repertoire of epitopes, which could explain the immune tolerance against D+ RBCs. Our results provide multiple lines of evidence that individuals with Asian-type DEL cannot produce alloanti-D when exposed to D+ RBCs following transfusion or pregnancy. Therefore, we recommend considering D+ RBC transfusion and discontinuing anti-D prophylaxis in Asian-type DEL patients, including pregnant women.
