    Medición de resultados en la estrategia CRM : Hacia un modelo holístico

    Este trabajo pretende contribuir a la investigación realizada en el ámbito la medición de resultados derivados de la estrategia CRM (Customer Relationship Management) . Con tal objetivo, primeramente definimos CRM como una filosofía de negocio que combina estrategia y tecnología en entornos tanto convencionales como virtuales (e-CRM). A continuación, destacamos la necesidad de contar con sistemas de medición por parte de las empresas que evalúen, de forma dinámica, el impacto de las iniciativas CRM y e-CRM sobre los resultados. Asimismo, realizamos una retrospectiva de las métricas utilizadas en el ámbito del marketing , destacando la tendencia hacia modelos scorecard , con un especial énfasis en las metodologías que evalúan los resultados de la implementación de estrategias CRM. Finalmente, concluimos haciendo referencia a los principales retos en la medición de resultados de estrategias CRM y las potenciales líneas de investigación en este á[email protected]

    Microbiota asociada a la enfermedad de la punta negra del trigo duro. Efectos del riego, el abonado nitrogenado y la variedad cultivada en la incidencia de la enfermedad

    La enfermedad fúngica de la punta negra del trigo se caracteriza por provocar en las semillas afectadas un oscurecimiento de la zona del embrión que en ocasiones puede extenderse hacia la hendidura central dejando el grano completamente ennegrecido. Su incidencia en el cultivo de trigo es extremadamente variable y depende en gran medida de las condiciones ambientales, así pues, condiciones de alta humedad pueden incrementar a punta negra. Su presencia en el trigo duro repercute en el rendimiento semolero. Además la pasta elaborada a partir de semilla enferma presenta manchas negras y adquiere color y olor desagradable. Esta enfermedad es poco conocida a nivel europeo, sin embargo existen numerosos estudios para conocer su etiología y los factores que afectan a su aparición en países como Nueva Zelanda, Australia, Estados Unidos o Canadá. El presente trabajo pretende dar a conocer esta patología en España, determinando la influencia del riego, el abonado nitrogenado y la variedad cultivada en la incidencia de la enfermedad. Para ello se ha contado con un diseño experimental basado en 10 cultivares sembrados en parcelas con dos tratamientos de riego y dos de abonado nitrogenado. El análisis de las semillas infectadas en cámara húmeda y medios de cultivo PDA y K reveló 12 géneros fúngicos diferentes, de los cuales Alternaria alternata y Fusarium proliferatum estaban presentes en todas las muestras. El estudio del riego y abonado nitrogenado mostró diferencias significativas en la incidencia de punta negra pero fueron los 10 cultivares incluidos en el ensayo los que mayor importancia cobraron desde el punto de vista de la aparición de la enfermedad. El genotipo resultó determinante a la hora de establecer los niveles de afectación ya que las muestras encuadradas botánicamente como Triticum turgidum subsp. Turgidum convar. Turgidum presentaron una mayor susceptibilidad. las prueas de patogenicidd con los tres principales hongos asociados a la punta negra dieron resultados negativos para la germinación-nascencia de las plántulas de trigo duro inoculadas

    Transcriptional organization and regulation of the Pseudomonas putida K1 type VI secretion system gene cluster

    The type VI secretion system (T6SS) is an antimicrobial molecular weapon that is widespread in Proteobacteria and offers competitive advantages to T6SS-positive micro-organisms. Three T6SSs have recently been described in Pseudomonas putida KT2440 and it has been shown that one, K1-T6SS, is used to outcompete a wide range of phytopathogens, protecting plants from pathogen infections. Given the relevance of this system as a powerful and innovative mechanism of biological control, it is critical to understand the processes that govern its expression. Here, we experimentally defined two transcriptional units in the K1-T6SS cluster. One encodes the structural components of the system and is transcribed from two adjacent promoters. The other encodes two hypothetical proteins, the tip of the system and the associated adapters, and effectors and cognate immunity proteins, and it is also transcribed from two adjacent promoters. The four identified promoters contain the typical features of σ70-dependent promoters. We have studied the expression of the system under different conditions and in a number of mutants lacking global regulators. P. putida K1-T6SS expression is induced in the stationary phase, but its transcription does not depend on the stationary σ factor RpoS. In fact, the expression of the system is indirectly repressed by RpoS. Furthermore, it is also repressed by RpoN and the transcriptional regulator FleQ, an enhancer-binding protein typically acting in conjunction with RpoN. Importantly, expression of the K1-T6SS gene cluster is positively regulated by the GacS–GacA two-component regulatory system (TCS) and repressed by the RetS sensor kinase, which inhibits this TCS. Our findings identified a complex regulatory network that governs T6SS expression in general and P. putida K1-T6SS in particular, with implications for controlling and manipulating a bacterial agent that is highly relevant in biological control

    Interaction with touchscreen smartphones in patientswith essential tremor and healthy individuals.

    tremorAbstractIntroduction: Smartphone use in biomedical research is becoming more prevalent in differ-ent clinical settings. We performed a pilot study to obtain information on smartphone use bypatients with essential tremor (ET) and healthy controls, with a view to determining whetherperformance of touchscreen tasks is different between these groups and describing touchscreeninteraction factors.Method: A total of 31 patients with ET and 40 sex- and age-matched healthy controls com-pleted a descriptive questionnaire about the use of smartphones. Participants subsequentlyinteracted with an under-development Android application, and performed 4 tests evaluatingtypical touchscreen interaction gestures; each test was performed 5 times.Result: The type of smartphone use and touchscreen interaction were not significantly differ-ent between patients and controls. Age and frequency of smartphone use are key factors intouchscreen interaction.Conclusion: Our results support the use of smartphone touchscreens for research into ET,although further studies are required.pre-print1030 K

    Analysis of the pathogenic potential of nosocomial Pseudomonas putida strains

    Pseudomonas putida strains are ubiquitous in soil and water but have also been reported as opportunistic human pathogens capable of causing nosocomial infections. In this study we describe the multilocus sequence typing of four P. putida strains (HB13667, HB8234, HB4184 and HB3267) isolated from in-patients at the Besançon Hospital (France). The four isolates (in particular HB3267) were resistant to a number of antibiotics. The pathogenicity and virulence potential of the strains was tested ex vivo and in vivo using different biological models: human tissue culture, mammalian tissues and insect larvae. Our results showed a significant variability in the ability of the four strains to damage the host; HB13667 did not exhibit any pathogenic traits, HB4184 caused damage only ex vivo in human tissue cultures, and HB8234 had a deleterious effect in tissue culture and in vivo on rat skin, but not in insect larvae. Interestingly, strain HB3267 caused damage in all the model systems studied. The putative evolution of these strains in medical environments is discussed
