The Optimal Inventory Policy with the Reusable Raw Material and Imperfect Items

    Get PDF
This paper covers four topics regarding inventory models, namely reusable raw material, the EPQ model, imperfect-quality items, and the present value method. The relevant cost value used in traditional EPQ models does not include the stockholding cost of raw material, which makes such models unsuitable for investigating production. Because people in the world are attempting to reduce the impact of environmental impairment and increasing market competition, all products are manufactured from 100% reusable raw material and are screened during the manufacturing process. By taking the fixed proportion of imperfect-quality items and the time value into account and applying the present value method to analyze optimal inventory policies, this study creates a modified EPQ inventory model that is close to real life we meet. Furthermore, this model aims to promote the reputation of a company and ascertain its costs accurately

A simple fractional-calculus approach to the solutions of the Bessel differential equation of general order and some of its applications

AbstractIn many recent works, several authors demonstrated the usefulness of fractional calculus operators in the derivation of (explicit) particular solutions of a significantly large number of linear ordinary and partial differential equations of the second and higher orders. The main object of the present paper is to show how this simple fractional-calculus approach to the solutions of the classical Bessel differential equation of general order would lead naturally to several interesting consequences which include (for example) an alternative investigation of the power-series solutions obtainable usually by the Frobenius method. The methodology presented here is based largely upon some of the general theorems on (explicit) particular solutions of a certain family of linear ordinary fractional differintegral equations

Solutions of a certain class of fractional differintegral equations

AbstractRecently, several authors demonstrated the usefulness of fractional calculus in obtaining particular solutions of a number of such familiar second-order differential equations as those associated with Gauss, Legendre, Jacobi, Chebyshev, Coulomb, Whittaker, Euler, Hermite, and Weber equations. The main object of this paper is to show how some of the latest contributions on the subject by Tu et al. [1], involving the associated Legendre, Euler, and Hermite equations, can be presented in a unified manner by suitably appealing to a general theorem on particular solutions of a certain class of fractional differintegral equations

Ankyrin-G mediates targeting of both Na+ and K-ATP channels to the rat cardiac intercalated disc

We investigated targeting mechanisms of Na+ and KATP channels to the intercalated disk (ICD) of cardiomyocytes. Patch clamp and surface biotinylation data show reciprocal downregulation of each other’s surface density. Mutagenesis of the Kir6.2 ankyrin binding site disrupts this functional coupling. Duplex patch clamping and Angle SICM recordings show that INa and IKATP functionally co-localize at the rat ICD, but not at the lateral membrane. Quantitative STORM imaging show that Na+ and KATP channels are localized close to each other and to AnkG, but not to AnkB, at the ICD. Peptides corresponding to Nav1.5 and Kir6.2 ankyrin binding sites dysregulate targeting of both Na+ and KATP channels to the ICD, but not to lateral membranes. Finally, a clinically relevant gene variant that disrupts KATP channel trafficking also regulates Na+ channel surface expression. The functional coupling between these two channels need to be considered when assessing clinical variants and therapeutics

Some Classes of Generating Relations Associated with a Family of the Generalized Gauss Type Hypergeometric Functions

    No full text
In recent years, several interesting families of generating functions for various classes of hypergeometric and generalized hypergeometric functions in one, two and more variables were investigated systematically. Here, in this sequel, we aim at establishing several (presumably) new generating relations for the generalized Gauss type hypergeometric functions which are introduced by means of some generalizations of the classical Beta function B(a,b ). Special cases of the main results are also presented
