Reflections on teaching aquaculture in the Marajó archipelago, Eastern Amazon

Reflexões sobre ensino da aquicultura no arquipélago do Marajó, Amazônia Oriental A aquicultura é uma atividade agropecuária em crescimento no arquipélago do Marajó, Estado do Pará, Brasil. Assim, é importante discuti à criação de organismos aquáticos em cursos técnicos da área de ciências agrárias. Diante disso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo entender os estudantes em agropecuária quanto a área da aquicultura, por meio da aplicação da análise diagnóstica. A metodologia consistiu em uma pesquisa de campo, qualitativa e explicativa. O estudo foi desenvolvido com 50 alunos do primeiro ano do ensino médio do curso técnico em Agropecuária do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Pará (IFPA), Campus Breves. Em conclusão, os estudantes declaram achar importante o assunto da aquicultura como disciplina dentro do curso técnico, apesar de, também demonstrarem pouca afinidade com a área; os que demonstraram afinidade apresentam o interesse pela criação de peixes. The methodology consisted of a qualitative and explanatory field research. The study was developed with 50 students of the first year of high school of the technical course in Agriculture of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA), Campus Breves. In conclusion, the students declared that they found the subject of aquaculture important as a discipline within the technical course, although they interested in fish farming. The lack of knowledge about aquaculture ventures in Marajó may be one of also demonstrate little affinity with the area; those who have shown affinity are the factors responsible for the students' lack of interest in the area, because in the region the culture of fishing activity has been even stronger for fish generation in the Marajó archipelago

Avaliação da aprendizagem em matemática: um olhar às práticas na Rede Pública de Ensino de Mamanguape/PB

This paper presents the results of a survey conducted for Work Course Conclusion (TCC) -Monograph. The research is entitled "Learning evaluation in Mathematics: A look at practices in the Public System Teaching of Mamanguape / PB" and was developed with teachers in state and municipal schools located in the town of Mamanguape / PB. This research aimed to investigate the evaluation practices carried out by teachers who teach Mathematics in the final years of elementary school in the Public System of Mamanguape / PB and the following objectives: Carry out a survey of evaluation practices conducted by institutions of public education teachers of Mamanguape; Identify the main beliefs of mathematics teachers on evaluation of learning; Identify the evaluation tools used with students in public schools in Mamanguape. To achieve these goals we made a qualitative research with four teachers of the 9th grade of elementary school, with reference to the contributions of authors like Luckesi (2011), Hoffmann (2009), Dante (2005), Valente (2008), among others. Were identified from the answers given by the teachers, there are still practices centered on a traditional view of education; that teachers believe there are differences between evaluation in mathematics and other curriculum components.Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa realizada para o Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)-Monografia. A pesquisa é intitulada “Avaliação da aprendizagem em Matemática: um olhar às práticas na Rede Pública de Ensino de Mamanguape/PB” e foi desenvolvida com professores das escolas estaduais e municipais localizadas na cidade de Mamanguape/PB. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo geral investigar as práticas de avaliação realizadas por professores que ensinam Matemática nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental na Rede Pública de Mamanguape/PB e como objetivos específicos: Realizar um levantamento das práticas de avaliação realizadas por professores de instituições do ensino público da cidade de Mamanguape; Identificar as principais crenças dos professores de Matemática sobre avaliação da aprendizagem; Identificar quais os instrumentos de avaliação utilizados com os alunos nas escolas públicas de Mamanguape. Para alcançar esses objetivos foi realizada uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa com quatro professores do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, tomando como referência as contribuições de autores como Luckesi (2011), Hoffmann (2009), Dante (2005), Valente (2008), entre outros. Foi possível identificar a partir das respostas dadas pelos professores, que ainda há práticas centradas em uma visão tradicional de ensino; que os professores acreditam haver diferenças entre avaliação em Matemática e em outros componentes curriculares

CAPACITAÇÃO PARA PROMOÇÃO DA PISCICULTURA E DESENVOLVIMENTO RURAL

The objective was to train fish farmers to develop the rural environment. The work was developed in the Marajó archipelago (Pará - Brazil), through the project "Aquicultura Marajoara" of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA) Campus Breves, in 2020. Thirteen course participants participated in the training on fish farming and the adoption of Good Management Practices. Water quality; indicated species; fish transport management; quarantine and stocking of fish; fish biometrics management; liming and fertilization of nurseries; management of nutrition, feeding and health of fish; and fishing and slaughtering of fish, were covered in the course. The project trained men and women from different rural communities. Issues about water quality, biometrics and fish nutrition and health were the ones that drew the most attention from fish farmers. In conclusion, the project reinforced teaching, research and extension actions, involving the community in favor of strengthening aquaculture in Marajó.O objetivo foi capacitar piscicultores para desenvolver o meio rural. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no arquipélago do Marajó (Pará – Brasil), por meio do projeto “Aquicultura Marajoara” do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Pará (IFPA) Campus Breves, em 2020. Treze cursistas participaram da capacitação, sobre a piscicultura e adoção de Boas Práticas de Manejo. A qualidade da água; espécies indicadas; manejo de transporte de peixes; quarentena e povoamento dos peixes; manejo de biometria de peixe; calagem e adubação de viveiros; manejo de nutrição, alimentação e sanidade de peixes; e despesca e abate de peixe, foram abordados no curso. O projeto capacitou homens e mulheres de diversas comunidades rurais. Assuntos sobre a qualidade da água, a biometria e a nutrição e sanidade de peixes, foram os que chamaram mais atenção dos piscicultores. Em conclusão, o projeto reforçou as ações de ensino, pesquisa e extensão, envolvendo a comunidade em prol do fortalecimento da aquicultura no Marajó
