    This research aims to determine the influence of job stress and job statistification towards employee's preformance (case study Rumah Sakit Az-Azahra Ujungbatu). Job stress as variable X1, job statistification as variable X2 and employee's preformance as variable Y.The research method in this research is quantitative method with SPSS programme, which the sample is the medic employee as much as 47 respondents. The sample in this research is 47 employees of Rumah Sakit Az-Azahra Ujungbatu Which is all of the population. The data is collected through the questionnaires.The results of this research concludes that the variable of job stress is significantly influential to employees perfoormance and the job statification is significantly influential to the employee's performance, and job stree and job stratification are simultaneously influenctial to the employee's performance

The type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods, its purpose isto analyze and describe the communication and coordination of transport sector provision ofpublic services.The results of research in the field stating that the communication and coordinationhas been carried out the transportation department and the traffic unit has not been optimal.In coordinating the transportation department should pay more attention to implementationof the objectives, so that meeting participants receive appropriate guidance to the creation oftwo-way communication. Coordination is still constrained by problems such ascommunications made ineffective, coordination has not been implemented, so that betweenthose who give and receive the policy are not well coordinated

    An ADMM approach for day-ahead scheduling of a local energy community

    The paper deals with the day-ahead operational planning of a grid-connected local energy community (LEC) consisting of several prosumers each equipped with generating units, loads and battery energy storage units. The prosumers are connected to the same low-voltage distribution network. In order to preserve, as much as possible, the confidentiality of the features and forecast of prosumers' equipment, the problem is addressed by designing a specific distributed procedure based on the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). The distributed procedure provides the scheduling of the batteries to limit the balancing action of the external grid. Results obtained for various case studies are compared with those obtained by a centralized approach. The values of the objective function, the profiles of the power exchanged with the utility grid and the profile of the energy stored in the batteries provided by the distributed approach are in close agreement with those calculated by the centralized one

    Comparison between Multistage Stochastic Optimization Programming and Monte Carlo Simulations for the Operation of Local Energy Systems

    The paper deals with the day-ahead optimization of the operation of a local energy system consisting of photovoltaic units, energy storage systems and loads aimed to minimize the electricity procurement cost. The local energy system may refer either to a small industrial site or to a residential neighborhood. Two mixed integer linear programming models are adopted, each for a different representation of the battery: A simple energy balance constraint and the Kinetic Battery Model. The paper describes the generation of the scenarios, the construction of the scenario tree and the intraday decision-making procedure based on the solution of the multistage stochastic programming. Moreover, the daily energy procurement costs calculated by using the stochastic programming approach are compared with those calculated by using the Monte Carlo method. The comparison is repeated for two different sizes of the battery and for two load profiles

    Automatic detection of cognitive impairment with virtual reality

    Cognitive impairment features in neuropsychiatric conditions and when undiagnosed can have a severe impact on the affected individual's safety and ability to perform daily tasks. Virtual Reality (VR) systems are increasingly being explored for the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of cognitive impairment. In this paper, we describe novel VR-derived measures of cognitive performance and show their correspondence with clinically-validated cognitive performance measures. We use an immersive VR environment called VStore where participants complete a simulated supermarket shopping task. People with psychosis (k=26) and non-patient controls (k=128) participated in the study, spanning ages 20-79 years. The individuals were split into two cohorts, a homogeneous non-patient cohort (k=99 non-patient participants) and a heterogeneous cohort (k=26 patients, k=29 non-patient participants). Participants' spatio-temporal behaviour in VStore is used to extract four features, namely, route optimality score, proportional distance score, execution error score, and hesitation score using the Traveling Salesman Problem and explore-exploit decision mathematics. These extracted features are mapped to seven validated cognitive performance scores, via linear regression models. The most statistically important feature is found to be the hesitation score. When combined with the remaining extracted features, the multiple linear regression model resulted in statistically significant results with R2 = 0.369, F-Stat = 7.158, p(F-Stat) = 0.000128

    In the eye of the beholder? Oxytocin effects on eye movements in schizophrenia

    Background Individuals with schizophrenia have difficulty in extracting salient information from faces. Eye-tracking studies have reported that these individuals demonstrate reduced exploratory viewing behaviour (i.e. reduced number of fixations and shorter scan paths) compared to healthy controls. Oxytocin has previously been demonstrated to exert pro-social effects and modulate eye gaze during face exploration. In this study, we tested whether oxytocin has an effect on visual attention in patients with schizophrenia. Methods Nineteen male participants with schizophrenia received intranasal oxytocin 40UI or placebo in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover fashion during two visits separated by seven days. They engaged in a free-viewing eye-tracking task, exploring images of Caucasian men displaying angry, happy, and neutral emotional expressions; and control images of animate and inanimate stimuli. Eye-tracking parameters included: total number of fixations, mean duration of fixations, dispersion, and saccade amplitudes. Results We found a main effect of treatment, whereby oxytocin increased the total number of fixations, dispersion, and saccade amplitudes, while decreasing the duration of fixations compared to placebo. This effect, however, was non-specific to facial stimuli. When restricting the analysis to facial images only, we found the same effect. In addition, oxytocin modulated fixation rates in the eye and nasion regions. Discussion This is the first study to explore the effects of oxytocin on eye gaze in schizophrenia. Oxytocin had enhanced exploratory viewing behaviour in response to both facial and inanimate control stimuli. We suggest that the acute administration of intranasal oxytocin may have the potential to enhance visual attention in schizophrenia

    Effect of storage on physical and functional properties of extracellular vesicles derived from neutrophilic granulocytes.

    AIM: To carry out a systematic study on the effect of different storage conditions on the number as well as the physical and functional properties of antibacterial extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from human neutrophilic granulocytes. METHODS: Production of EVs with antibacterial properties was initiated by opsonized Zymosan A particles. The number of released fluorescent EVs was determined by flow cytometry following careful calibration. Physical properties and size of EVs were investigated by flow cytometry, dynamic light scattering and electron microscopy. Functional properties of EVs were tested by bacterial survival assay. RESULTS: Storage at +20 degrees C or +4 degrees C resulted in a significant decrease of EV number and antibacterial effect after 1 day. Storage at -20 degrees C did not influence the EV number up to 28 days, but induced a shift in EV size and almost complete loss of antibacterial function by 28 days. Storage at -80 degrees C had no significant effect either on EV number or size and allowed partial preservation of the antibacterial function up to 28 days. Snap-freezing did not improve the results, whereas the widely used cryoprotectants induced EV lysis. CONCLUSION: Storage significantly alters both the physical and functional properties of EVs even if the number of EVs stays constant. If storage is needed, EVs should be kept at -80 degrees C, preferably not longer than 7 days. For functional tests, freshly prepared EVs are recommended

    Minimum toe clearance: probing the neural control of locomotion

    Minimum toe clearance (MTC) occurs during a highly dynamic phase of the gait cycle and is associated with the highest risk of unintentional contact with obstacles or the ground. Age, cognitive function, attention and visual feedback affect foot clearance but how these factors interact to influence MTC control is not fully understood. We measured MTC in 121 healthy individuals aged 20-80 under four treadmill walking conditions; normal walking, lower visual field restriction and two Stroop colour/word naming tasks of two difficulty levels. Competition for cognitive and attentional resources from the Stroop task resulted in significantly lower mean MTC in older adults, with the difficult Stroop task associated with a higher frequency of extremely low MTC values and subsequently an increased modelled probability of tripping in this group. While older adults responded to visual restriction by markedly skewing MTC distributions towards higher values, this condition was also associated with frequent, extremely low MTC values. We reveal task-specific, age-dependent patterns of MTC control in healthy adults. Age-related differences are most pronounced during heavy, distracting cognitive load. Analysis of critically-low MTC values during dual-task walking may have utility in the evaluation of locomotor control and fall risk in older adults and patients with motor control deficits

    Quality of life assessment in interstitial lung diseases:a comparison of the disease-specific K-BILD with the generic EQ-5D-5L

    Background: Patients with interstitial lung diseases (ILD) have impaired health-related quality of life (HRQL). Little is known about the applicability of the disease-specific King’s Brief Interstitial Lung Disease questionnaire (K-BILD) and the generic EQ-5D-5L in a German setting. Methods: We assessed disease-specific (K-BILD) and generic HRQL (EQ-5D experience based value set (EBVS) and Visual Analog Scale (VAS)) in 229 patients with different ILD subtypes in a longitudinal observational study (HILDA). Additionally, we assessed the correlation of the HRQL measures with lung function and comorbidities. In a linear regression model, we investigated predictors (including age, sex, ILD subtype, FVC percentage of predicted value (FVC%pred), DLCO percentage of predicted value, and comorbidities). Results: Among the 229 patients mean age was 63.2 (Standard deviation (SD): 12.9), 67.3% male, 24.0% had idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and 22.3% sarcoidosis. Means scores were as follows for EQ-5D EBVS 0.66(SD 0.17), VAS 61.4 (SD 19.1) and K-BILD Total 53.6 (SD 13.8). K-BILD had good construct validity (high correlation with EQ-5D EBVS (0.71)) and good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha 0.89). Moreover, all HRQL measures were highly accepted by patients including low missing items and there were no ceiling or floor effects. A higher FVC % pred was associated with higher HRQL in all measures meanwhile comorbidities had a negative influence on HRQL. Conclusions: K-BILD and EQ-5D had similar HRQL trends and were associated similarly to the same disease-related factors in Germany. Our data supports the use of K-BILD in clinical practice in Germany, since it captures disease specific effects of ILD. Additionally, the use of the EQ-5D-5L could provide comparison to different disease areas and give an overview about the position of ILD patients in comparison to general population

    Alpha3/alpha2 power ratios relate to performance on a virtual reality shopping task in ageing adults

    Background: Aspects of cognitive function decline with age. This phenomenon is referred to as age-related cognitive decline (ARCD). Improving the understanding of these changes that occur as part of the ageing process can serve to enhance the detection of the more incapacitating neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In this study, we employ novel methods to assess ARCD by exploring the utility of the alpha3/alpha2 electroencephalogram (EEG) power ratio – a marker of AD, and a novel virtual reality (VR) functional cognition task – VStore, in discriminating between young and ageing healthy adults. Materials and methods: Twenty young individuals aged 20–30, and 20 older adults aged 60–70 took part in the study. Participants underwent resting-state EEG and completed VStore and the Cogstate Computerised Cognitive Battery. The difference in alpha3/alpha2 power ratios between the age groups was tested using t-test. In addition, the discriminatory accuracy of VStore and Cogstate were compared using logistic regression and overlying receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Youden’s J statistic was used to establish the optimal threshold for sensitivity and specificity and model performance was evaluated with the DeLong’s test. Finally, alpha3/alpha2 power ratios were correlated with VStote and Cogstate performance. Results: The difference in alpha3/alpha2 power ratios between age cohorts was not statistically significant. On the other hand, VStore discriminated between age groups with high sensitivity (94%) and specificity (95%) The Cogstate Pre-clinical Alzheimer’s Battery achieved a sensitivity of 89% and specificity of 60%, and Cogstate Composite Score achieved a sensitivity of 83% and specificity of 85%. The differences between the discriminatory accuracy of VStore and Cogstate models were statistically significant. Finally, high alpha3/alpha2 power ratios correlated strongly with VStore (r = 0.73), the Cogstate Pre-clinical Alzheimer’s Battery (r = -0.67), and Cogstate Composite Score (r = -0.76). Conclusion: While we did not find evidence that the alpha3/alpha2 power ratio is elevated in healthy ageing individuals compared to young individuals, we demonstrated that VStore can classify age cohorts with high accuracy, supporting its utility in the assessment of ARCD. In addition, we found preliminary evidence that elevated alpha3/alpha2 power ratio may be linked to lower cognitive performance
