On the composition structure of the twisted Verma modules for sl(3,C)\mathfrak{sl}(3,\mathbb{C})

We discuss some aspects of the composition structure of twisted Verma modules for the Lie algebra sl(3,C)\mathfrak{sl}(3, \mathbb{C}), including the explicit structure of singular vectors for both sl(3,C)\mathfrak{sl}(3, \mathbb{C}) and one of its Lie subalgebras sl(2,C)\mathfrak{sl}(2, \mathbb{C}), and also of their generators. Our analysis is based on the use of partial Fourier tranform applied to the realization of twisted Verma modules as D\mathrm{{D}}-modules on the Schubert cells in the full flag manifold for SL(3,C)\mathrm{SL}(3, \mathbb{C})

Možnosti produkce sadby brambor v podmínkách ekologického zemědělství

Tento příspěvek předkládá dostupné možnosti regulace mšic resp. virových chorob u sadbových brambor v podmínkách ekologického zemědělství. Tyto zkušenosti a výsledky jsme ověřovaly v našem pokusu, který poskytl cenné zkušenosti z těchto podmínek. Výběr velmi raných odrůd, předklíčení sadby a obsev pohankou dle výsledků ELISA testů vyhovělo a splnilo požadavky na zdravotní stav sadbových hlíz. Pěstování odrůd s delší vegetací je (v podmínkách ekologického zemědělství) náročnější a vyžaduje vyšší nároky na ochranu proti přenašečům virových chorob

A comparison of possible exponential polynomial approximations to get commensurate delays

    Get PDF
The paper is aimed at a comparative simulation study on three prospective ideas how to approximate a general exponential polynomial by another one having all its exponents in the exp-function as integer multiples of some real number. This work is motivated by spectral properties of neutral time-delay systems (NTDS) and the contemporary state of the knowledge about the spectrum of NTDS with commensurate delays which are characterized by the latter family of exponential polynomials. The three ideas are, namely, those: Taylor series expansion, the interpolation in points given by dominant roots estimates and the special extrapolation technique presented by the authors recently. The goal is to match dominant parts of both the spectra as close as possible. However, some properties from the so called strong stability point of view can not be, in principle, preserved. The presented simulation example demonstrates the accuracy and efficiency of all the methods.Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic within the National Sustainability Programme [L01303, MSMT-7778/2014]; European Regional Development Fund [CZ.1.05/2.1.00/03.0089

Evaluation of the impacts of tax changes on government revenues and expenditures is indispensable for evidencebased policy making. Czech government discussed several alternative proposals to change the value added tax (VAT) rates and social security rates during 2010 and 2011. This article estimates the impact of these proposals on the public sector budget deficits. The main contribution of the article is in quantifying a wide range of response channels through which the proposed tax changes affect the government revenues and expenditures. The relationship between the proposed VAT changes and the pension reform is discussed, as is the reallocation of revenue and expenditures within the public sector

Navigation, localization and stabilization of formations of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles

A leader-follower formation driving algorithm developed for control of heterogeneous groups of unmanned micro aerial and ground vehicles stabilized under a top-view relative localization is presented in this paper. The core of the proposed method lies in a novel avoidance function, in which the entire 3D formation is represented by a convex hull projected along a desired path to be followed by the group. Such a representation of the formation provides non-collision trajectories of the robots and respects requirements of the direct visibility between the team members in environment with static as well as dynamic obstacles, which is crucial for the top-view localization. The algorithm is suited for utilization of a simple yet stable visual based navigation of the group (referred to as GeNav), which together with the on-board relative localization enables deployment of large teams of micro-scale robots in environments without any available global localization system. We formulate a novel Model Predictive Control (MPC) based concept that enables to respond to the changing environment and that provides a robust solution with team members' failure tolerance included. The performance of the proposed method is verified by numerical and hardware experiments inspired by reconnaissance and surveillance missions

The First Construction of Unconventional Type of Railway Superstructure in the ŽSR Infrastructure

AbstractIn the introduction of the paper the unconventional type of railway superstructure (so called ballastless track) is briefly characterized from the point of view of its historical development. Its advantages and disadvantages related to the classic railway superstructure (rail skeleton placed in gravel railbed) are also stated here. In the further parts of this paper the built-in system of ballastless track RHEDA 2000® is characterized, using the example of the first application of the unconventional railway superstructure in the conditions of ŽSR, related to the construction of the tunnel Turecký vrch in the modernised V. multimodal corridor (line section Nové Mesto nad Váhom-Púchov). The conclusion states the methods of diagnostics of ballastless track, transitional areas and connecting sections with classic railway superstructure. This diagnostics is a part of a scientific project of experimental monitoring of the geometrical position of the track in the ongoing warranty period of the respective modernised line section; realized for the needs of DG of ŽSR by the workers of the Department of Railway Engineering and Track Management in cooperation with the Department of Geodesy of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Žilina

Improved and innovated universal DAQ microcontroller unit

    Get PDF
This paper is aimed at the description of hardware design, software equipment and the functionality of the second evolution of the intelligent multipurpose input/output microcontroller converter and control unit designed and assembled by the authors. Preceding stages of the unit development are concisely overviewed first, the deficiencies of which give rise to the primary motivation of this contribution. Then separate hardware parts of the novel unit are described in detail including electronic schematic diagrams. The device firmware and software capabilities are introduced as well. The advantages of the unit are highlighted compared to older versions. Its functionality, performance and efficiency are then verified by a laboratory control-related dynamic responses measurement example. In the contrary to previous evolutions, a more compact hardware design, increased A/D and D/A converter resolutions, added USB communication capability, better and more accurate analog circuits with more advanced operation amplifiers, the use of OLED instead of LCD display, the pulse-width modulated signal generated by the microcontroller unit itself can be considered among the most important improvements. Moreover, the direct use of the serial link may reduce noise significantly and makes the device more universal

Usage of control charts for time series analysis in financial management

    Get PDF
We will deal with corporate financial proceeding using statistical process control, specifically time series control charts. The article outlines intersection of two disciplines, namely econometrics and statistical process control. Theoretical part discusses methodology of time series control charts, and in research part, the methodology is demonstrated on two case studies. The first focuses on analysis of Slovak currency from the perspective of its usefulness for generating profits through time series control charts. The second involves regulation of financial flows for a heteroskedastic financial process by EWMA and ARIMA control charts. We use Box-Jenkins methodology to find models of time series of annual Argentinian Gross Domestic Product available as a basic index from 1951-1998. We demonstrate the versatility of control charts not only in manufacturing but also in managing financial stability of cash flows. Specifically, we show their sensitivity in detecting even small shifts in mean which may indicate financial instability. This analytical approach is widely applicable and therefore of theoretical and practical interest
