    Automatic correction of part-of-speech corpora

    Get PDF
In this study a simple method for automatic correction of part-ofspeech corpora is presented, which works as follows: Initially two or more already available part-of-speech taggers are applied on the data. Then a sample of differing outputs is taken to train a classifier to predict for each difference which of the taggers (if any) delivered the correct output. As classifiers we employed instance-based learning, a C4.5 decision tree and a Bayesian classifier. Their performances ranged from 59.1 % to 67.3 %. Training on the automatically corrected data finally lead to significant improvements in tagger performance

A hospital has an installation services including outpatient, inpatient, ER and laboratories. In making the case in the ER department schedules, lack of attention to equity aspects schedule guard duty nurse. Nurse scheduling is one of the problems in health care organizations that are hard to solve. The number of patients who are not controlled, the seriousness of the patient's disease, absence and private demand for the holiday, including making a schedule for each nurse into working hours (shifts) different in the short term. Seeing those conditions, it is done using the ER nurse scheduling algorithm method Tibrewala, Phillipe and Brown (TPB). This method can produce a schedule to minimize the amount of labor. In this research is also developing software for web-based application scheduling algorithm based on TPB.Making an application based on Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) is simple, consisting of one admin as manager application. Scheduling resulting from the processing of nurses to determine the needs, the number of nurses and the number of shift each nurse. The structure of application is made simple program consisting of, the need for nurses, shift work and the needs of the iteration process to generate schedules. Scheduling algorithms using the TPB can result in the division of labor and the amount of work shift power evenly to each nurse. This application help the process of scheduling the event of changes relating to the scheduling so that the scheduling process can be done at any time by efficiently and effectively

Aims This study is the first to specifically compare event-based PM in severely autistic children to mildly autistic and typically developing children. Methods and procedures Fourteen mildly autistic children and 14 severely autistic children, aged 5–13 years, were matched for educational attainment with 26 typically developing children aged 5–6 years. Three PM tasks and a retrospective memory task were administered. Outcomes and results Results showed that severely autistic children performed less well than typically developing children on two PM tasks but mildly autistic children did not differ from either group. No group differences were found on the most motivating (a toy reward) task. Conclusions and implications The findings suggest naturalistic tasks and motivation are important factors in PM success in severely autistic children and highlights the need to consider the heterogeneity of autism and symptom severity in relation to performance on event-based PM tasks.Peer reviewedFinal Accepted Versio

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the effective implementation ofthe fingerprint system used to store data in the presence of a teacher at SDN 06 Pagi LentengAgung on the level of discipline. The method used in this research is quantitative method withmethod approach TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) that is applied to 16 samples. Theinstrument used was a questionnaire. The results of this study are variable perception of theusefulness (X1) obtained thitung of 5.100 with 0.000 significance value, because the value of farless significance than 0.05 then H0 and accept H1. This shows that the variable perception ofthe usefulness (X1) are statistically significant effect on the dependent variable discipline (Y).Based on the partial results of hypothesis testing (test F) obtained Fhitung = 26.006 with asignificance value of 0.000. Because the significance value less than 0.05 then H0 and acceptH1. This shows that the perceived usefulness of the independent variables are statisticallysignificant effect on the dependent variable (discipline). unknown magnitude r2perception of usefulness is 6.49% which is obtained from the partial correlation coefficients for the variablesperception of usefulness squared namely (0,806)2 of these explanations indicate that thevariable uses fingerprint machine to give effect to discipline teachers at SDN 06 Pagi LentengAgung. An Attribution Theory Lens on Plagiarism: Examining the Beliefs of Preservice Teachers

Academic misconduct is a prominent issue at postsecondary institutions. This issue includes the act of plagiarism, which has received considerable attention on campuses. There is a growing body of research examining why students engage in plagiarism, and what they know about plagiarism, but little of this research is guided by a theoretical framework. Although all students may be tempted to plagiarize, students in teacher education programs represent a unique population because they are concerned with developing their own academic performance alongside the skills necessary to manage situations of academic misconduct as future teachers. Therefore, our first aim was to examine preservice teachers’ beliefs about plagiarism. Then, following the principles of Attribution Theory, our second aim was to investigate how beliefs of controllability related to acts of plagiarism impacted participants views on responsibility, emotions, help giving, and reporting. We used a within-person repeated measures design with three levels of controllability manipulated through hypothetical scenarios of plagiarism to collect data from 201 preservice teachers. Overall, preservice teachers had strong beliefs about plagiarism. Moreover, when scenarios included students who engaged in plagiarism that was controllable, participants were more likely to view the student as responsible, feel anger towards them, support punishment, and recommend reporting the student, than when the act of plagiarism was not seen as controllable. We provide recommendations for instructors and administrators for supporting students and highlight limitations and directions for future research

Fruit Characteristic and Nutrient Values of Four Indonesian Banana Cultivars (Musa Spp.) at Different Genomic Groups

Aims of this research were to describe the morphology and analyze nutrient values of mature fruits at three different genomic groups of Indonesian banana cultivars including Pisang Berlin (AA), Ambon Hijau (AAA), Raja Bandung (ABB) and Kepok (ABB). Fruit characterization results show that each banana cultivar had specific characteristics related to their genomic group. Pisang Berlin has bright yellow peel and pulp, sugary taste. Pisang Ambon Hijau has fine curved fruit shape, sweet taste and aromatic. Pisang Raja Bandung has medium thickness and yellow peel, firm flesh, sweet and slightly acidic taste. Pisang Kepok has thick coarse and yellow peel with dark brown blotches, mild sweet taste. Fruit characters of Pisang Berlin and Ambon Hijau are close related to their ancestral parents' Musa acuminata wild species, whereas Pisang Kepok and Pisang Raja Bandung as hybrid cultivars have intermediate characters between Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana wild species. Nutrient analysis revealed that mature banana pulp contain of high carbo-hydrates (16.72-35.24 g 100g-1), total sugar (12.12-20.82 g 100g-1), vitamin C (16.45-30.27 g 100g-1) and potassium (275-375 g 100g-1); moderate protein (1.48-1.78 g 100g-1) and low fat (0.03-0.08 g 100g-1). About 100 g edible portion of banana fruit produce 73.43 to 148.80 calories

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a strategy of acquiring and retaining customers by taking into account the development of technologies relevant to the CRM application. With a CRM strategy, companies can establish a good relationship with customers. Maintaining customer loyalty (customer loyalty) must be carried out by the company in the long term to prevent the occurrence of a condition in which the product is lost in the absence of an "after sales service". The development of CRM itself can not be separated from technology, therefore the use of a CRM company combined with technology-based website will produce a line of target companies to face competition
