The possible members of the meson nonet
The strong decays of the states are evaluated in the
model with two types of space wave functions. Comparing the model
expectations with the experimental data for the , ,
, and , we suggest that the , , and
can be assigned as the members of the meson nonet, while the
assignment for the is not favored by its width. The
kaon is predicted to have a mass of about 2418 MeV and a width of about 163 MeV
or 225 MeV.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, version accepted by Eur. Phys. J.
Assessment of density functional methods with correct asymptotic behavior
Long-range corrected (LC) hybrid functionals and asymptotically corrected
(AC) model potentials are two distinct density functional methods with correct
asymptotic behavior. They are known to be accurate for properties that are
sensitive to the asymptote of the exchange-correlation potential, such as the
highest occupied molecular orbital energies and Rydberg excitation energies of
molecules. To provide a comprehensive comparison, we investigate the
performance of the two schemes and others on a very wide range of applications,
including the asymptote problems, self-interaction-error problems, energy-gap
problems, charge-transfer problems, and many others. The LC hybrid scheme is
shown to consistently outperform the AC model potential scheme. In addition, to
be consistent with the molecules collected in the IP131 database [Y.-S. Lin,
C.-W. Tsai, G.-D. Li, and J.-D. Chai, J. Chem. Phys., 2012, 136, 154109], we
expand the EA115 and FG115 databases to include, respectively, the vertical
electron affinities and fundamental gaps of the additional 16 molecules, and
develop a new database AE113 (113 atomization energies), consisting of accurate
reference values for the atomization energies of the 113 molecules in IP131.
These databases will be useful for assessing the accuracy of density functional
methods.Comment: accepted for publication in Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 46 pages, 4

Canonical interpretation of the state within the model
Recently, the LHCb Collaboration has confirmed the state , with a
mass ~MeV, and a much larger width
~MeV than the previous experimental measurements,
which has confused the understanding of its nature. We will investigate the
possibility of the interpretation for the ,
considering the mass spectra predicted in the quark model, and the strong decay
properties within the model. We also predict the strong decay
properties of the charmonium states and . Our
results show that the state with the small width given in PDG can be
explained as the charmonium state in the model, and
high precision measurement of the width of the is crucial to
understand its nature.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures, the version to be published in EPJ
The production in the process
We have studied the reaction within the effective
Lagrangian approach, and our results show that there may be a peak, at least a
bump structure around 2180 MeV associated to the resonance in the
mass distribution. We suggest to search for the resonance
in this reaction, which would be helpful to shed light on its
nature.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, contribution to 18th International Conference on

Distribution of Measuring Points and Piezoelectric Actuators in Flutter Suppression
AbstractSingle input/single output (SISO), single input/multi out put (SIMO) and multi input/multi out put (SIMO) control laws for active flutter suppression are designed and realized in wind tunnel tests. Reasonable agreement between analytical and tested results is achieved. Based on these results, the distribution of response measuring points and piezoelectric actuators is investigated
Mas-related G-protein–coupled receptors inhibit pathological pain in mice
An important objective of pain research is to identify novel drug targets for the treatment of pathological persistent pain states, such as inflammatory and neuropathic pain. Mas-related G-protein–coupled receptors (Mrgprs) represent a large family of orphan receptors specifically expressed in small-diameter nociceptive primary sensory neurons. To determine the roles of Mrgprs in persistent pathological pain states, we exploited a mouse line in which a chromosomal locus spanning 12 Mrgpr genes was deleted (KO). Initial studies indicated that these KO mice show prolonged mechanical- and thermal-pain hypersensitivity after hind-paw inflammation compared with wild-type littermates. Here, we show that this mutation also enhances the windup response of dorsal-horn wide dynamic-range neurons, an electrophysiological model for the triggering of central pain sensitization. Deletion of the Mrgpr cluster also blocked the analgesic effect of intrathecally applied bovine adrenal medulla peptide 8–22 (BAM 8–22), an MrgprC11 agonist, on both inflammatory heat hyperalgesia and neuropathic mechanical allodynia. Spinal application of bovine adrenal medulla peptide 8–22 also significantly attenuated windup in wild-type mice, an effect eliminated in KO mice. These data suggest that members of the Mrgpr family, in particular MrgprC11, may constitute an endogenous inhibitory mechanism for regulating persistent pain in mice. Agonists for these receptors may, therefore, represent a class of antihyperalgesics for treating persistent pain with minimal side effects because of the highly specific expression of their targets
Bethe ansatz for the XXX-S chain with non-diagonal open boundaries
We consider the algebraic Bethe ansatz solution of the integrable and
isotropic XXX-S Heisenberg chain with non-diagonal open boundaries. We show
that the corresponding K-matrices are similar to diagonal matrices with the
help of suitable transformations independent of the spectral parameter. When
the boundary parameters satisfy certain constraints we are able to formulate
the diagonalization of the associated double-row transfer matrix by means of
the quantum inverse scattering method. This allows us to derive explicit
expressions for the eigenvalues and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations.
We also present evidences that the eigenvectors can be build up in terms of
multiparticle states for arbitrary S.Comment: 62 page
