    OpenAIRE Guidelines for Data Archive Managers v1.0

    OpenAIRE gathers together research output related to European funding streams, with the aim of supporting open science and tracking research impact. This content consists of open access publications and related contextual information such as datasets, supplementary material, and research/project information. Two other sets of OpenAIRE guidelines exist for repository managers: OpenAIRE Guidelines for Literature Repositories 3.0 OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS systems (CERIF standard) – In draft The OpenAIRE Guidelines for Data Archive Managers 1.0 provides instruction for data archive managers to expose their metadata in a way that is compatible with the OpenAIRE infrastructure. The metadata from data archives should be included in the OpenAIRE information space, and exposed when data are related to an open access publication e.g. a dataset cited by an article. By implementing the OpenAIRE Guidelines data archive managers are facilitating the creation of enhanced publications and building the stepping-stones for a linked data infrastructure for research. Exposure and visibility of content from a range of European repositories will be significantly increased when a common and interoperable approach is taken and care to adhere to existing guidelines. OpenAIRE is happy to assist in adherence to these guidelines. This compatibility will lead to future interoperability between research infrastructures, and structured metadata is of benefit to individual data repositories and the scholarly community at large

    Theorization and translation in information technology institutionalization: evidence from Danish home care

    Although institutional theory has become a more dominant perspective in information systems research, studies have only paid scant attention to how field dynamics and organizational processes coevolve during information technology institutionalization. Against this backdrop, we present a new conceptualization based on the “traveling of ideas” metaphor that distinguishes between theorization of ideas about IT usage across an organizational field and translation of such ideas into practical use of IT within particular organizations. Drawing on these distinct analytical views, we posit that IT institutionalization is constituted through recursive intertwining of theorization and translation involving both linguistic and material objects. To illustrate the detailed workings of this conceptualization, we apply it to a longitudinal study of mobile IT institutionalization within Danish home care. We demonstrate how heterogeneous actors within the Danish home care field theorized ideas about mobile IT usage and how these ideas translated into different local arrangements. Further, our account reveals a complex institutionalization process in which mobile IT was first seen as a fashionable recipe for improvement but subsequently became the subject of controversy. The paper adds to the emerging process and discourse literature on IT institutionalization by shedding new light on how IT ideas travel across a field and within individual organizations, how they transform and become legitimized over time, and how they take on different linguistic and material forms across organizational settings

    Recent studies from several authors show that it is possible to lower the fuel consumption for heavy trucks by utilizing information about the road topography ahead of the vehicle. The approach in these studies is receding horizon control where horizon length and residual cost are main topics. To approach these topics, fuel equivalents previously introduced based on physical intuition are given a mathematical interpretation in terms of Lagrange multipliers.     Two sided analysis of variance with a latent time series

    Many real life regression problems exhibit some kind of calender time dependency and it is often of interest to predict the behavior of the regression function along this calender time direction. This can be formulated as a regression model with an added latent time series and the task is to be able to analyse this series. In this paper we engage this through a two step procedure, firstly we treat the time dependent elements as parameters and estimate them in the two-sided analysis of variance setup, secondly we use the estimated time series as predictor of the latent time series.     System analysis of a diesel engine with VGT and EGR

    A system analysis of a diesel engine with VGT and EGR is performed in order to obtain insight into a VGT and EGR control problem where the goal is to control the performance variables oxygen fuel ratio λO and EGR-fraction xegr using the VGT actuator uvgt and the EGR actuator uegr. Step responses over the entire operating region show that the channels uvgt → λO, uegr → λO, and uvgt → xegr have non-minimum phase behaviors and sign reversals. The fundamental physical explanation of these system properties is that the system consists of two dynamic effects that interact: a fast pressure dynamics in the manifolds and a slow turbocharger dynamics. It is shown that the engine frequently operates in operating points where the non-minimum phase behaviors and sign reversals occur for the channels uvgt → λO and uvgt → xegr, and consequently, it is important to consider these properties in a control design. Further, an analysis of zeros for linearized multiple input multiple output models of the engine shows that they are non-minimum phase over the complete operating region. A mapping of the performance variables λO and xegr and the relative gain array show that the system from uegr and uvgt to λO and xegr is strongly coupled in a large operating region. It is also illustrated that the pumping losses pem −pim decrease with increasing EGR-valve and VGT opening for almost the complete operating region. Content
