    The influence of concentration and soaking time of sulfate acid to germination of sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) seeds. The research was conducted in Laboratory of Seed Technology, Agricultural Faculty, Univesity of Sumatera Utara, Medan, about 25 meters above the sea level started from November 2015 until Januari 2016using Randomized Block Design with two factors, i.e. concentration of sulfate acid with 4 levels : 0 %, 25 %, 50 %, 75 % andsoaking time with 4 levels : 5 minute, 10 minute, 15 minutes and 20 minute. The parameters observed were percentation of germination, germination rate, vigor index, axis embrio+radicule lenght, seedling fresh weight and dry weight. The results showed that the interaction between concentration and soaking time of sulfate acid significantly affected to all parameters observed except germination rate parameter. The combination seeds soaked in 75 % sulfate acidfor ten minutes produce the highest percentation of germination, vigor indeks, axis embrio+ radicule length, i.e. 100%, 0.31, 10.42 cm respectively

    The objective of this research was acquired of effect on addition of liquid fertilizer of growth and production of mustard greens. Therefor, research has been conducted at experimental field of Agriculture USU (± 25 m asl.) in August-September 2014 using a randomized block design with one factor. that was addition of liquid fertilizer consist of control, basic fertilizer (urea, SP36, KCl), organic liquid fertilizer (1, 2 and 3 ml/l water per plant) and anorganic liquid fertilizer (1, 5, 3, and 4,5 ml/l water per plant). The results showed that 2 and 3 weeks after planting (MST) of plant height, 2, 3, and 5 MST of leaf total, fresh root weight, sell fresh weight be significantly different of addition liquid fertilizer. We recommend that basic fertilizer should be given on mustard greens cultivation, because the results on growth and production of mustard greens was well

    Air digunakan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari seperti minum, mandi, mencuci, pertanian, industri dan keperluan lainnya. Air sungai memiliki tingkat kekeruhan yang tinggi karena bercampur dengan lumpur, pasir dan kotoran lainnya. Kualitas air sungai dibagian hilir lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kualitas air sungai dibagian hulu. Penurunan kualitas air sungai disebabkan oleh aktivitas disekitar sungai. Pembuangan limbah dari rumah tangga dan limbah hasil industri secara langsung ke lingkungan tanpa pengolahan dapat mencemari sungai sehingga air sungai tidak layak dikonsumsi. Salah satu metode penjernihan air yaitu filter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi parameter pencemaran air sungai di Kota Gorontalo dengan menggunakan filter karbon aktif. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah membantu meningkatkan kualitas air sungai dengan mengurangi partikel pencemar yang terdapat pada air sungai, sehingga air layak dikonsumsi. Pembuatan filter dengan memanfaatan plastik bekas menjadi filter untuk mengurngi parameter pH, TDS, suhu, salinitas, bau dan warna. Hasil pengujian sebelum proses filtrasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai pH 6,85; Nilai TDS 432mg/l; nilai suhu 32oC; nilai salinitas 0,43%; berbau tanah dan warna yang tidak jernih dengan beberapa partikel halus. Sedangkan setelah proses filtrasi di dapat nilai pH yaitu 6,66; nilai TDS 174mg/L; nilai suhu 32,2°C; nilai salinitas 0,17%; tidak berbau dan berwarna jernih. Sehingga, hasil pengujian telah memenuhi standar bakumutu yang telah ditetapkan

    DES Y3 + KiDS-1000: Consistent cosmology combining cosmic shear surveys

    We present a joint cosmic shear analysis of the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y3) and the Kilo-Degree Survey (KiDS-1000) in a collaborative effort between the two survey teams. We find consistent cosmological parameter constraints between DES Y3 and KiDS-1000 which, when combined in a joint-survey analysis, constrain the parameter S8=σ8Ωm/0.3S_8 = \sigma_8 \sqrt{\Omega_{\rm m}/0.3} with a mean value of 0.7900.014+0.0180.790^{+0.018}_{-0.014}. The mean marginal is lower than the maximum a posteriori estimate, S8=0.801S_8=0.801, owing to skewness in the marginal distribution and projection effects in the multi-dimensional parameter space. Our results are consistent with S8S_8 constraints from observations of the cosmic microwave background by Planck, with agreement at the 1.7σ1.7\sigma level. We use a Hybrid analysis pipeline, defined from a mock survey study quantifying the impact of the different analysis choices originally adopted by each survey team. We review intrinsic alignment models, baryon feedback mitigation strategies, priors, samplers and models of the non-linear matter power spectrum.Comment: 38 pages, 21 figures, 15 tables, submitted to the Open Journal of Astrophysics.
