On November 24, 2021, Ms. Elise Labott, leading foreign policy journalist, presented A Solution-Based Approach to Civil Discourse at the 2021 CASIS West Coast Security Conference. Primary discussion topics included the definition of ‘broken’ media, a brief overview of racism throughout history, the consequences of echo chambers and online trolling, and a potential solution to improve and encourage civil discourse online. Unvereinbarkeit von Bewertung und Reflexionsaufgaben in der Lehrer*innenbildung

An Universitäten, Studienseminaren und weiteren Institutionen der Lehrer*innenbildung hat sich eine Bewertungspraxis von Reflexionsaufgaben aus sich selbst heraus etabliert, die normativ davon ausgeht, dass Reflexion eine mess- und überprüfbare Kompetenz sei. Da der Reflexionsbegriff der Lehrer*innenbildung, der entsprechenden Aufgabenformaten zugrunde liegt, in einem Begriffsspektrum oszilliert und damit unverbindlich ist, obliegen die konkrete Ausgestaltung von Reflexionsaufgaben sowie damit verbundene Erwartungshaltungen den Akteuren der jeweiligen Ausbildungsinstitutionen. Im Beitrag wird herausgearbeitet, dass Lehrerbildner*innen in der 1. und 2. Phase bei der Bewertung von Reflexionsaufgaben Bewertungsprozesse vornehmen, die den Status von Reflexion als conditio humana verkennen. The intersection of nurses with substance use disorder and peer support

Support within the nursing community for those coping with substance misuse has been lacking for over a hundred years. A review of the history of substance use disorders in nursing reveals that nurses still encounter similar risks, stigma, and punishments today. Kristin, a nurse for over 30 years, tells her story of trials, tribulations, and triumphs with substance use. She shares how having to face early recovery on her own sparked the development of the Wisconsin Peer Alliance for Nurses (WisPAN).
