The rank reversal problem in multi-criteria decision making : a literature review
Despite the importance of multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques for constructing effective decision models, there are many criticisms due to the occurrence of a problem called rank reversal. Nevertheless, there is a lack of a systematic literature review on this important subject which involves different methods. This study reviews the pertinent literature on rank reversal, based on 130 related articles published from 1980 to 2015 in international journals, which were gathered and analyzed according to the following perspectives: multicriteria technique, year and journal in which the papers were published, co-authorship network, rank reversal types, and research goal. Thus our survey provides recommendations for future research, besides useful information and knowledge regarding rank reversal in the MCDM field

An integrated multicriteria decision-making approach to reale state evaluation: case of the todim method
Evaluation of real estate properties is an important factor in any economy. The appraisal process is rather subjective, based on the appraiser's experience and intuition. Attempts are being made to help appraisers produce more stable and reliable results. In the paper the authors present an integrated approach to the problem based on the multicriteria decision making framework. The process is carried out through three phases using the multicriteria method TODIM. An "adjusted value" iterative procedure for market value estimation is proposed. The final property price ensures that the overall quality of the alternative obtained through the TODIM method is not farther from the comparable properties on the market than the stated threshold. The process is illustrated through an application in the city of Volta Redonda (Brazil). The results are compared with the "proportional approach". The "adjusted value" approach showed significant improvement compared to the "proportional" adjustment of market value
Measuring the performance of factoring and financial leasing firms under balanced scorecard perspective using pythagorean fuzzy sets
International Conference on Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, INFUS 2019 -- 23 July 2019 through 25 July 2019 -- -- 228529The Balanced Scorecard introduces solutions to the problems that arise from the failures encountered in strategic management, and the inadequacy of traditional performance management systems that lag behind in the information age, especially, with respect to today’s intensely competitive environment to which enterprises are increasingly exposed. In this study, the performance of 7 factoring and financial leasing firms listed at the Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) were evaluated using the Balanced Scorecard approach under 4 main criteria. Pythagorean fuzzy sets are considered as a better way to represent expert-judgments under inconsistent and indeterminate environment. After that, the TODIM methodology, which analyzes decision makers’ psychological behaviors under risk, was used to rank the firms. While the economic loyalty sub-criterion was found as the most important one, learning and growth came out as the least important one after applying interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy AHP. Finally, factoring and financial leasing firms were ranked according to decision makers under the balanced scorecard performance criteria and followed by a sensitivity analysi
ANP applied to the evaluation of performance indicators of reverse logistics in footwear industry
The reverse logistics (RL) seeks to facilitate the return of consumer goods, or its constituent materials, in the production cycle. The main motivators of RL are economic factors, customer service, legal, corporate citizenship and corporate image. The evaluation of RL practices involves therefore multiple interrelated aspects: environmental legislation, technology, costs, external relations etc. This article aims to present an assessment of the priorities of the indicators of reverse logistics in a small footwear industry in the Brazilian State of Ceara. The model of RL evaluation applies the Analytic Network Process, because it allows assessing dependency relationships or existing influence.
